Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 111 Quidditch Practice

A wave of joy instantly swept over Sharina, and she controlled the broom to change direction and flew towards the distant goal.

Ginny had also caught up. She flew side by side with Salina. The golden sunlight shone on their faces, as if celebrating for them.

Salina took a deep breath, aimed at the goal, and threw the Quaffle in her hand. The red ball drew a perfect parabola in the air and finally passed through the goal accurately.

"Great! It seems I have found two very talented players!" Wood's hearty laughter came from below. He clapped and said, "Next, let's increase the difficulty!"

Before she could finish her words, two blurry black shadows came rushing over from the other end of the court with a whistling sound. Before Salina could react, the two shadows were already very close. She could even feel the strong wind brushing against her cheek.

"Be careful! It's a Bludger!" Ginny warned loudly, and at the same time skillfully controlled the broom to turn to the side, barely avoiding the impact of one of the Bludgers.

Only then did Salina see clearly that the two black shadows were the notorious Bludgers in the game. One of them was rushing towards Salina like a cannonball, while the other was chasing Ginny relentlessly.

The Bludger passed through them with a whistling sound and great force. Salina could even feel the heat wave brought by the Bludger's passing. A few strands of hair were blown into a mess and stuck to her cheeks.

Before Serena could even catch her breath, another Bludger came whizzing towards her.

She quickly lowered the broom handle and passed under the Bludger dangerously. The black iron ball almost brushed past her nose. Salina could even feel the cold metallic scent of the Bludger.

"Calm down, Salina." Ginny's voice came from not far away. She flexibly controlled the broom, shuttling between the two Bludgers like a light swallow.

Serena took a deep breath and tried to concentrate.

She reminded herself not to panic and to trust her intuition and reaction ability.

After dodging again and again, Salina gradually adapted to the speed and trajectory of the Bludger. She began to be able to predict the flight direction of the Bludger and react in advance.

Wood watched from the side with an appreciative smile on his face.

He was impressed by both girls' flying talent and courage.

"Okay, that's all for today." Wood said, taking out a silver whistle from his pocket and blew it. The sharp whistle echoed over the stadium.

Hearing the whistle, the two bludgers stopped their frantic attacks as if they had received an order and flew back to Wood obediently.

Wood expertly locked them into a black box.

"Well done, girls!" Wood gave them a thumbs up. "You guys did a great job today!"

"Next, let's practice finding the Golden Snitch!" Wood said, pulling out a small golden ball from his pocket.

Ginny's fiery red hair drew dazzling arcs in the air. She sometimes dived and sometimes stopped suddenly, nimbly avoiding the obstacles around her. Her sharp green eyes were fixed on the golden snitch flashing in the sun.

Whenever the Snitch tried to change direction, Ginny would always predict it in advance and adjust direction at amazing speed, chasing after it closely.

Serena followed Ginny's movements and couldn't help but marvel at her speed and skill.

Ginny was like a burning flame, drawing graceful arcs in the air. Every dive and every sudden stop was full of power and beauty.

Suddenly, the Golden Snitch suddenly changed direction and flew high into the sky.

Ginny chased after him without hesitation, her long hair fluttering in the wind like a bright red flag.

Salina held her breath, staring at Ginny's figure intently, and her heart seemed to fly with her.

The golden sunlight shone on Ginny, as if coating her with a layer of golden light.

She stretched out her arm, and her slender fingers came closer and closer to the Snitch.

Finally, amid the excited cheers of Sharina and Wood, Ginny held the Golden Snitch tightly.

"You two are both great!" Wood looked at Ginny and Salina with admiration in his eyes. "I can see your talent and hard work."

He paused and continued, "After these rounds of tests, I think I have the results."

Ginny and Serena both looked at him nervously, waiting for the final announcement.

"Ginny, your reaction and speed are excellent. You will join the team as a substitute seeker!" Wood turned to Salina, "Salina, your flying skills and control of the course are also impressive. You will be our substitute chaser!"

"Of course, you also have to participate in the team training in the afternoon, so take the time to rest." Wood said, raised his wrist, glanced at his watch, scanned the time scale on the dial, and added: "We will gather at the stadium on time at 2 o'clock in the afternoon!"

Ginny looked at the time and excitedly thought about finding Neville first and telling him the good news.

"Neville will be so happy!" she said to herself happily, "I want to celebrate with him!"

……

At two o'clock in the afternoon, the members of the Gryffindor Quidditch team appeared on the field on time.

The sunny weather added some vitality to the training.

"Okay, guys! This afternoon we will mainly practice offensive tactics!" Wood stood in front of the players, glanced at the players who were eager to try, and announced loudly, "Angelina, you lead everyone to warm up first, Selina, you follow me."

Salina's heartbeat quickened a few beats. She took a deep breath and kept up with Wood's pace.

They came to a corner of the field, and Wood threw a Quaffle to Sharina, "As a chaser, your main task is to break through the opponent's defense and shoot the ball into the goal."

He paused, his sharp eyes fell on Salina, "I know you are very talented, but actual combat and testing are two completely different things. If you want to score a goal on the field, you need stronger impact and more accurate shooting skills."

"Yes, I understand, captain." Salina nodded and caught the Quaffle steadily.

Wood jumped off the broom handle and walked in front of Sharina, "Watch my movements."

As he spoke, he took the Quaffle from Salina and motioned for her to step back a few steps. "If you want to break through the opponent's defense, you need to learn to observe, predict the opponent's actions, and then seize the opportunity and make a decisive move."

After saying that, Wood mounted his broom and rushed towards Salina like an agile falcon.

Sharina held her breath and stared intently at Wood's movements, trying to find out his attack routes and flaws.

Wood suddenly changed direction a few meters away from Salina. Salina subconsciously moved to the left, trying to intercept him, but Wood dodged him skillfully.

With a flick of his wrist, he fired the Quaffle accurately into the goal.
