Hogwarts Lion Girl

Chapter 101 Harry's Thoughts

Seeing the tense atmosphere between Harry and Draco, the air seemed to crackle. Salina hurriedly put the book in her hand on a table next to her, then quickly walked between the two of them to block the anger they were spraying at each other.

"Sorry Draco, the cake is delicious but I need to go to the library with Harry now, I'll see you next time."

After that, he ignored Draco, pulled Harry and turned to leave, "Let's go, Potter."

Harry nodded, and the two walked side by side towards the end of the corridor.

Watching their departing backs, the smile on Draco's face gradually disappeared, replaced by a gloomy and lonely look.

He didn't know why he suddenly said those words, maybe because he didn't want to see Salina and Harry getting so close, or maybe because he had already noticed something subconsciously...

He didn't want to admit it, but the fact was that he did have a different feeling towards Salina, a feeling that made him feel strange and even a little flustered.

Looking at Serena's receding back, Draco suddenly felt a strong possessive desire in his heart. He would never allow anyone, especially Harry Potter, to take her away from him.

……

In the library, Salina and Harry sat side by side at the table. The sunlight shone through the ancient glass windows onto them, casting a warm halo on them.

Salina flipped through the Potions textbook in her hand, her slender fingers gently running across the parchment. She patiently explained to Harry the steps and key points of brewing the mitigating agent.

Harry was trying hard to concentrate. Salina's voice was soft and pleasant, like a breeze under the shade of trees on a summer afternoon, brushing past his ears and bringing a hint of imperceptible heat.

He unconsciously moved closer, wanting to hear more clearly. He seemed to be able to smell the faint fragrance emanating from Salina, mixed with the smell of parchment and ink, blending together wonderfully.

"So, you must be careful when adding the porcupine quills. Add them one by one, and stir them clockwise..." As Salina spoke, she picked up her silver dagger and demonstrated to Harry.

Harry's eyes fell on Salina's focused profile. Her long eyelashes drooped slightly, casting a shadow on her fair skin. The sunlight shone through the window, dancing on her hair, as if coated with a faint halo.

His heartbeat was getting faster and faster, echoing in his ears like a drum. He didn't dare look at Salina again, and hurriedly shifted his gaze away, falling on the parchment in front of him.

However, Salina's voice, her breath, and her smell seemed to cast a magic that surrounded him tightly, leaving him nowhere to escape.

Harry felt his cheeks getting hotter and hotter. He couldn't imagine what Sharina would think of him. How could a Gryffindor have such thoughts about her friend?

He tried hard to concentrate, but the complicated potion steps became blurred lines in front of his eyes, and Salina's voice became erratic. His mind was full of Salina, her smile, her voice, everything about her.

"Harry? What's wrong with you?" Salina seemed to notice something was wrong with Harry and asked with concern.

"Ah? No, nothing." Harry responded panickedly, not daring to look into Salina's eyes.

At this moment, he was finally sure that he really fell in love with Salina. He liked her intelligence and bravery, her gentleness and kindness, and the sunny warmth that radiated from her.

So this is what it feels like to like someone, sweet but also makes him a little uneasy.

It is precisely because of this that she feels dissatisfied with Draco's approach and feels inexplicably irritated when she sees Draco getting close to Serena.

Salina didn't notice Harry's panicked look. She handed the slender silver dagger to Harry and said, "You try it. Be careful not to prick your hand."

Harry was stunned for a moment, and took the dagger as if possessed.

His fingertips accidentally touched Salina's fingertips, and the warm touch made him feel like he was under a magic, and all the blood in his body rushed to his head.

"I, I..." Harry wanted to say something, but his throat seemed to be blocked by something and no sound came out.

Salina tilted her head and looked at him with a hint of confusion in her eyes, "What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"

"No, no." Harry shook his head hurriedly. He tried hard to control his confused thoughts, but Salina was right in front of him. Her breath, her smell, and every subtle expression of hers made him unable to extricate himself.

"Then try it quickly." Salina said, handing over a bottle of porcupine quills.

Harry took a deep breath and tried to focus.

He picked up a porcupine quill and, imitating Serena's example, carefully added it to the cauldron.

"No, Harry, stir clockwise, you made a mistake!" Salina suddenly shouted.

Harry was startled, his hand shook, and the porcupine quill fell into the crucible, splashing a puff of green smoke.

"Oh no!" Salina exclaimed and quickly waved her wand to cast a water spell to disperse the smoke.

Harry was immediately ashamed and said, "I'm sorry, Serena, I..."

Salina didn't mean to blame him, she just smiled and said, "It's okay, it's inevitable to make mistakes when you do it for the first time, just practice a few more times and you'll be fine."

As she spoke, she pushed the annotated Potions textbook in front of Harry, "I have written down the detailed steps and precautions. Please take a closer look."

Harry lowered his head and looked at the textbook, but the words seemed to be dancing and he couldn't read them at all.

His mind kept replaying the scene of Salina demonstrating to him just now. Her fingers flexibly manipulated the silver dagger, her profile looked particularly charming in the sun, and the faint fragrance on her body made him intoxicated and unable to extricate himself.

"Harry?" Salina's voice brought Harry back from his thoughts.

He raised his head and met Salina's clear eyes, which were full of concern and tenderness.

"What's wrong with you? Are you feeling unwell?" Salina asked with concern. She reached out and touched Harry's forehead to confirm if he had a fever.

When Serena's soft fingertips touched Harry's skin, it felt like an electric current, causing his whole body to tremble.

He instinctively wanted to dodge, but his body seemed to be fixed and he couldn't move.

"I, I'm fine..." Harry's voice was low and hoarse. He didn't dare to look into Salina's eyes, for fear that his eyes would betray his heart.

"Are you really okay? Your face is so red." Serena said, and reached out to touch Harry's forehead again. Her fingers gently slid across his skin, bringing a tingling sensation.

Harry's heart beat faster and faster, and he felt like a prey targeted by a hunter, with nowhere to escape.

He wanted to escape from Salina's touch, but her hands seemed to have magic that made him unable to resist.

Salina poured the remaining liquid medicine in the crucible into the sink, then turned and walked to the material rack, carefully selecting the materials she needed.

"The hedgehog spines must be fresh and not too dark in color, otherwise it will affect the efficacy of the medicine." She spoke softly as she selected, as if she was talking to Harry, but also as if she was talking to herself.

"Yeah." Harry responded in a low voice, but his eyes always stayed on Salina, reluctant to move away.

Salina picked out the ingredients, turned back to the table, and placed them neatly on the table. Then she looked up at Harry with an encouraging smile on her face, "It's okay, let's do it again. This time, take your time. Don't rush."

"Okay." Harry nodded, took a deep breath, and tried to focus.
