A group of women gathered in a secluded tent while a flower arranging competition took place.

"Damn it! That wasn't part of the plan!" Bai Tian Ai frowned and kicked the nearest chair. Her friends stepped back in shock, exchanging annoyed looks.

Love got angry again during the day.

Ning Huabing glanced at her nails and said nothing. She wanted to go back to the tent, but she knew she couldn't disrespect Bai Tianai like this. Bai Tianai slammed his hands on the table and she rolled her eyes.

"How did she dodge those arrows and magically land in Captain Wen Jinkai's arms?! Why does he still care about her?!" she hissed angrily.

One of the girls, Han Jieru, spoke up. "Tian'ai, calm down," she said, even though she was more nervous than Bai Tianai. After all, she was the one who shot those arrows.

This is just the beginning of the game, there will definitely be more opportunities——"

"No, there won't be another chance." A cold and feminine voice interrupted them outside the tent.

Every pair of eyes turned to the entrance. No one went in, and the women exchanged curious glances. The wind blew the curtains open a little, but they couldn't see outside.

"Well? What are you waiting for? Go and have a look!" Bai Tian Ai frowned and gave an impatient order, motioning one of the girls to go out and take a look.

Ning Huabing sighed. She was bored and decided to step out to find out what was going on. She looked down at those useless girls.

But Han Jieru took the lead and pulled open the curtain of the tent.

A sharp gasp was heard, followed by pure silence. The well-ventilated tent suddenly felt suffocated. The breeze that had been blowing earlier gave people an ominous and gloomy feeling.

On the ground, a group of people were knocked unconscious. They were the guards sent by Ning Huabing to guard the tent and prevent outsiders from invading. They had no obvious scars that could be seen by the naked eye. They just lost consciousness.

"What happened?" Han Jieru said, her eyes sweeping across the ground, her head turning sharply. The tent was located in a very secluded place in the back, almost invisible. How could someone find them? And who could do this?

Suddenly, something caught Bai Tian's attention. She immediately pointed out: "There is a note and an arrow on the ground."

Han Jieru immediately lowered her head, her face pale. This was the arrow Bai Tianai had ordered one of the girls to use. The family crest had been scraped off the arrow before it was shot at Xueyue, but strangely, the Han family crest was on the note.

Han Jieru picked up the note and the arrow with shaking hands. "They, they know." She turned around and took out the note, shaking all over.

"What did it say?" Bai Tianai was so curious that she didn't care about Han Jieru's horrified expression. Bai Tianai didn't care about this girl at all. She was just a pawn that needed to be sacrificed.

Han Jieru swallowed and unfolded the paper. Her hands were shaking so badly that the arrow slipped from her grasp. She jumped when it landed heavily on the ground. "The next time you raise a finger, it will be the last time you have a hand."

Bai Tianai pursed her lips. "Using empty threats? How boring." She comforted him, "We will be fine." She raised her chin and sneered, "We have the Bai family, the Han family, the Ning family and other forces. Who dares to hurt us?"

Ning Huabing bit her lower lip. She wanted to go back to her tent. She didn’t want to hurt Xueyue anymore. She just wanted to get Li Chenyang’s attention. Daytime love was too much.

The curtain blew open again, and something caught Bai Tian Ai's attention.

"Wait. What is that?" Bai Tian Ai saw something sparkling and squinted her eyes. She waved her hand and motioned Han Jieru to go outside and take a look.

"what is what?"

"There's something on the ground next to the guard." Bai Tian Ai pointed to the one closest to her.

"They're not dead, are they?" Ning Huabing said cautiously. She didn't want to explain to her family why they died.

Han Jieru began to feel annoyed at Bai Tianai's bossing around. "If she's so curious, why doesn't she investigate it herself?" Still, she stomped her feet toward the tent door. Sure enough, there was something lying next to the guard.

Single hair clip.

Han Jieru picked it up suspiciously and turned to show it to Bai Tianai. "This is a hairpin."

Bai Tian Ai asked, "Whose is it?"

"Well, it can't be ours. If it was thrown outside, a guard would have notified us." Ning Huabing frowned.

"That is to say... the hairpin belongs to the person who sent the note and the arrow." Bai Tian Ai concluded, and her face turned pale when she realized that a woman could do such a thing to a grown man. There was only one woman in my mind.

Bai Tianai resisted the urge to laugh at what was happening before her eyes. She just needed one more confirmation to prove that her suspicions were correct.

Xueyue adjusted her appearance, straightened her shirt, and walked quickly towards her tent as if nothing had happened. She gritted her teeth, and her fingers trembled slightly.

This was the first time she had used her lessons against someone who wasn't her sparring partner. She swallowed. Was it the adrenaline? Was she afraid? She couldn't tell what made her tremble like a fragile leaf in early winter.

"You seem to be in a hurry." Someone spoke behind her, causing her to stop.

She paused and turned, her lips almost in a frown.

"Why are you in such a hurry?" he asked her.

Xueyue looked to the left, then to the right, then looked behind her, then quickened her pace.

"Hey, I'm talking to you."

She continued walking as if his words were a breeze blowing through her.

"Li Xueyue."

She gnashed her teeth. "I hope he's talking to himself."

She forced a smile and turned to face the Fourth Prince. Slowly, she curtseyed. "Your..." She struggled to find the right words, "Grace."

Wang Longhe's mouth twitched at her subtle attack. Fortunately for her, he found her cute. He liked to play with small animals, such as herself. "It seems that you are not deaf yet."

"You still seem annoying," she thought to herself, and stood up straight. "I'd love to stay and chat about the weather or the sky, but I'm afraid I must return to my tent."

"You have received such a precious gift, and I haven't congratulated you yet. There's no need to rush back so soon." He said with a smile.

In the distance, three pairs of eyes were watching this scene keenly. One man in particular was about to leave the tent, his face full of curiosity and anger.

"Don't congratulate me, it's just a simple wish." Xueyue replied in the most polite tone she could. "If this is all, Your Majesty, please forgive me-"

"That's not all," he said shamelessly, raising his eyebrows as her smile widened. He found it very amusing that the more frustrated she got, the bigger her smile got.

"I have a simple wish, too." He nodded toward her hands. They were neatly tucked in front of her, but they immediately fell to her side as he watched.

"Then why don't you go win a tournament?" she said to herself tartly. Her smile faded when she saw his serious expression.

"You look confused, let me tell you-"

"That's not necessary." She interrupted him, raising her chin. "I don't need to know your intentions, and I don't want to hear them."

"You were so cold to me today." Wang Longhe groaned. "What happened to the scared little girl two years ago? The girl who liked to play the silly hero, or the damsel in distress."

"I was only being polite. If you mistook my respect for indifference, I must apologize."

"Don't avoid the topic." He chuckled and walked towards her. In the distance, a man was walking towards them quickly.

"You're a prince." She suddenly deadpanned. "Is this what you're supposed to do?"

Wang Longhe was caught off guard by her sharp taunts. He didn't think she had the ability. Her tongue was very active. He didn't know whether to force her to curb it, or cut off her tongue. He didn't like women who spoke loudly, especially fashionable little things like her.

"You are playing with fire."

Xueyue tilted her head and slowly closed the distance between them. She whispered, "I hope it can burn both of us."

"you-"

"Have a nice day, your majesty," she said, and curtseyed once more before storming off, sighing softly as the prince's guards blocked her path.

"I haven't forgiven you yet." Wang Longhe warned her, and only then did she realize that he was right behind her.

"No, but I have the right to apologize."

"What rights?"

"A gentleman is harassing a lady," she countered calmly, giving him a sickeningly sweet smile. She looked around and saw that not many people were looking this way. Well, they couldn't. The moment he opened his mouth, the prince's guards had formed a human wall.

"A lady? Where?" He looked around, pretending to be confused.

"Why didn't I bring you a mirror?" she retorted, looking back.

Wang Longhe was caught off guard by her inexplicable words and could do nothing but glare at her when she stepped roughly on a guard's foot. The guard twitched, but it was enough for her to push them away.

Wang Longhe sneered and watched her figure disappear into the distance. Her hair swayed boldly with every arrogant step she took. He wondered what gave her the confidence to do whatever she wanted. What made her change? Or had she always been like this?
