But before she could touch the burning spot, another plate broke near her and fell near her shoulder.

There were whispers among the onlookers. Everyone could see that the foreign princess occupying the plate was plotting something.

"Last ten seconds!" A voice came from somewhere.

Li Xueyue gritted her teeth, took aim, and kept walking, dodging the iron plates. Her body subconsciously spun, and the hem of her skirt also spun gracefully.

Just a few seconds before the arrow was about to pierce her body, Li Xueyue caught the arrow with her hand. She took a deep breath and looked into the eyes of the sharp arrow. The sound of drums came from afar, and the game was over.

"Li Xueyue!"

Before she could react, two hands forcibly lifted her up. Li Xueyue was not frightened by the arrow, but just stared at Yu Zhen blankly. Although he ran over from the golden stairs, he didn't look out of breath at all.

"Does it hurt?" he asked, brushing the dirt off her shoulders.

"That damn princess." Yu Zhen turned her head sharply to the side, and Princess Meng Jie took a step back hesitantly. If looks could kill, she would have fallen to the ground and died long ago.

"I'm fine," she reassured him as she put the arrow down.

Yu Zhen pursed his lips. He almost declared war on Nanhui and wiped out their people starting with the royal family.

"Really," she added, seeing the murderous look in his eyes. His jaw was set. It trembled with irritation.

Li Xueyue watched as the foreign prince came forward. Princess Mengjie seemed excited to see him, thinking she had won the game. But her smile soon disappeared.

Prince Yang was furious and seemed to be scolding her harshly. Princess Mengjie slowly lowered her head.

"it hurts."

Li Xueyue touched Nan Hui's head, pouted, and a hint of hesitation flashed in her eyes. She didn't know what to do now, whether to declare war on Nan Hui or comfort her. Finally, Yu Zhen reached out and pushed Nan Hui's hand away.

He rubbed the top of her head slowly, with a worried look on his face, "I can't let your head get any smaller."

Li Xueyue stared at him in amazement. There was no trace of smile in his eyes. He was serious! "I have a big head," she hissed, slapping his hand away, but he kept his hand there firmly.

She ignored his gaze. "That's not how you treat someone who's injured."

Yu Zhen narrowed his eyes and rubbed her head angrily, "Just don't move."

"Like I'd let some random woman take you away."

Yu Zhen finally stopped frowning, the corners of his mouth twitching, "Do you really think I will let you go?"

"Oh, shut up." Li Xueyue muttered, ignoring the gleam in his eyes. His hatred was replaced by happiness.

Yu Zhen walked closer to her and put his arm around her waist, "I said, I don't want anyone else but you, Yangguang."

As he caressed her cheek lovingly, Li Xueyue’s heart was thrilled. How could she protest when he treated her like this? She could feel everyone’s eyes, watching their every move.

Li Xueyue wanted to break free but couldn't. It was too difficult. It was not because he was strong, but because he was gentle. He took good care of her, like a sand castle that could collapse at any time.

"We can't stand here too long. I have to prepare for the sword fight."
