"Did you find him?" Lu Tianbi asked anxiously when Hu Dengxiao came back. They were standing outside the crown prince's private study, which was still locked.

The commander had gone out last night and had not returned, so the two decided to call it a day. They remembered to lock the private study when they left.

They returned to their bedroom late and woke up early as usual. Usually, Yu Zhen's insomnia would make him sleep for a while, and he was always the first to get up.

"No, I didn't." Hu Dengxiao sighed. He was already out of breath after searching the palace for the missing prince.

Lu Tianbi sighed disapprovingly. She had expected the result to be so unfavorable. She rested her forehead on her palm.

"It can only mean one thing," she said. "The prince has spent the night with the princess."

"I went out through the window and no one saw me," Yu Zhen replied.

"Zhenzhen, you scared us to death." Hu Dengxiao said. "When I couldn't find you, I thought you eloped with the princess."

Yu Zhen raised his eyebrows. "My plan is complete."

Hu Dengxiao gasped violently. He put a hand on his heart. "I'll just pretend I didn't hear it, Zhenzhen!" He was angry.

Lu Tianbi rolled her eyes at his antics. It was still early, and he was already messing around. She patted him on the head to quiet him down.

"We are out of luck." Lu Tianbi said. She looked around and frowned slightly. "The news came out that Princess Li Xueyue has entered the palace, and the state of her arrival is still very mysterious. We must clarify it before the rumors are tainted by lies."

Yu Zhen's mood worsened. Storm clouds covered his face.

When is a rumor true?

"I'll have the servants who bathed and dressed her beheaded," he roared.

Lu Tianbi opened her mouth to object, but closed it again. They needed to set an example for the servants, never to gossip. The beheading would undoubtedly take place in the servants' quarters.

Even though the princess came, the prince remained as heartless as ever.

"Put on clothes." Yu Zhen said vaguely.

"What?!" Lu Tianbi screamed.

"So fast?!" Hu Dengxiao laughed. Is this why the commander ran out yesterday? To reach an agreement?

Lu Tianbi kicked the advisor angrily. It was his duty to protect the prince’s reputation. Not to tarnish it!

"Commander," she said, irritated. "Please tell me you don't-" She stopped when he frowned. It was almost as if he was saying, "Do you really doubt my manners?"

Lu Tianbi breathed a sigh of relief. She felt like her life had been shortened by ten years. Thank God he had not deprived her of her virginity on the day the princess arrived.

"Since she arrived earlier than originally planned, we have to adjust our wedding date," said Lu Tianbi.

"The sooner the better." Yu Zhen said. He saw a flash of dissatisfaction in her eyes. He gave her a gloomy glare.

"Tiantian." Hu Dengxiao said. "The prince is right. The princess should marry him the day after she arrives. The sooner the marriage is concluded, the safer Han Jian will be."

Lu Tianbi nodded helplessly. "You are right, but the princess's carriage was looted and her dress must have been stolen."

Yu Zhen took out a note and handed it to her. "Ask the tailor to prepare the clothes tomorrow morning."

Lu Tianbi glanced down at the folded parchment. Her lips went dry. Poor tailors. "Your Highness, right away," she whispered, and then she walked away.

When Yu Zhen passed by him, she grabbed her sleeve. He noticed that Hu Dengxiao's eyes were full of possessiveness.

Yu Zhen almost shook his head. The two were writing their own love story. "Before you run errands," he said, glancing at Hu Dengxiao. "Have you two had breakfast?"

Lu Tianbi listened to his words and smiled. He was always vague about his feelings. It was through small actions like this that she was reminded of his concern for the people.

"Of course," she replied, poking his shoulder with her thumb. "You think my father would let me go out without a meal?"

Hu Dengxiao was stunned when he heard her words. "I'm not your father!"

"You're such a nag." Lu Tianbi retorted.

Yu Zhen listened to their little talk, and the corners of his mouth twitched. "Very good," he said as he let her go.

Hu Dengxiao glanced at the prince's hand again. He lowered his head and pouted. "If only I could catch Tiantian so easily..."

"Your Highness, where is the Princess?" Lu Tianbi asked. "Has she had breakfast?"

Yu Zhen's face darkened when Xueyue was mentioned. If there was one thing he noticed about her, it was how much weight she had lost. Her plump cheeks were sunken. She weighed less than a feather. As he put his arm around her waist, he was also examining her body. She was skinny. There was nothing better than a well-fed hamster.

"The chefs are now preparing as many nutritious dishes as possible." Yu Zhen said in a cold tone.

Lu Tianbi nodded slowly. She was also worried about the princess. She remembered how thin Xueyue looked the night she was brought in.

"Your Highness, would you like to have dinner together?" Lu Tianbi asked.

Yu Zhen nodded speechlessly. He needed to make sure she took care of herself. God knew she wouldn’t.

"Gather all the ministers and nobles the day after tomorrow." Yu Zhen said with difficulty. It was time to announce Xue Yue's appearance to them, whether he liked it or not.
