A full moon hung over the huge palace, which was as big as a town. The palace was the most powerful part of the country. Next was the capital city, which was located outside the palace gates.

"Your Highness, the details have been finalized," Lu Tianbi reported. She untied the heavy scroll in her hand. There were wooden cylinders on both ends of the scroll to ensure that the edges of the paper would not be pressed upwards.

"Your princess will be here soon," Lu Tianbi said proudly. She placed the flattened scroll in front of the picky prince.

Yu Zhen had a book covering his face, and I don’t know if he was awake or not.

Lu Tianbi's attention drifted to her own parchment, which had changed position. Just like that, he had finally finished all the work for next week. She didn't know why he was working so hard. Did he want a full week off? Was that so?

His mornings were filled with court business, and then he would tour the nearest town outside the capital to make sure all was well. Yu Zhen was the most ideal prince anyone could ask for. Although he was rude, he did his job most efficiently.

"Zhenzhen?" Hu Dengxiao whispered, waving his hand in the prince's face. The man leaned back in his cushioned chair.

"He's exhausted." Lu Tianbi muttered. She crossed her arms and sighed. "He's the first one to get up and the last one to go to bed. It's rare to see him sleep like this."

"Are you sure he is really asleep?" Hu Dengxiao muttered.

"Leave him alone." Lu Tianbi warned as Hu Dengxiao reached for the book. "Let our prince sleep a little longer, otherwise he might die in front of us."

"Uh uh! Our commander is too strong. If he doesn't exert his physical strength well, what's the point of training every morning?" Hu Dengxiao refuted many of Lu Tianbi's dissatisfaction.

"He should use the time he spends training to sleep. All his skills are almost perfect, and he has mastered the secrets of swordsmanship and fighting. I don't know why he pushes himself so hard." Lu Tianbi grumbled.

"Maybe he wants to stay in shape for when the princess comes," Hu Dengxiao laughed. He wondered if she had heard the double meaning in his words.

Lu Tianbi rolled his eyes.

"Tiantian, let's sneak out~ I found this small waterfall in the forest, maybe we can play in the water like we did when we were kids--"

"Get back to work," a voice said.

Hu Dengxiao screamed in fear. He jumped behind Lu Tianbi and trembled as he looked over her shoulder. "That monster, he's still alive!"

"What a shame," Yu-jin muttered. He sat up and pulled the book away from his face. He checked the title and frowned. "99 Steps to Love." No wonder he had such sweet dreams about Seol-yue and their future in the palace.

Unfortunately, he woke up to the harsh reality: they were still far from having a family of their own. He sighed and tossed the book aside. He didn't need to fill his head with false hope like this. He preferred to live in reality.

"You have completed the work for today, tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow. Deng Xiao and I just need to finalize some documents. Your Highness, it's time for you to go to bed." Lu Tianbi said.

Worry marred her beautiful face. Lu Tianbi was worried about his condition. She approached the prince and placed one hand on his when he picked up the brush.

"Your Highness, please don't treat yourself like this." Lu Tianbi said.

"Tiantian, leave him alone. I've advised him day and night not to cause trouble for himself." Hu Dengxiao waved his hand and said. He was just glad that his best friend didn't beat him because of the nickname. Fortunately, she was distracted by their dear friend.

Yu Zhen gently pushed her hand away and stood up.

Lu Tianbi thought to herself that the stubborn prince had finally listened to her. Her hopes were dashed when he stood up and picked up another stack of parchment. These problems should not be resolved until next week.

"Your Highness!" Lu Tianbi was angry. "I know you hate my nagging, but why do you do this, Your Highness?"

Yu Zhen did not respond. He picked up the finely crafted brush and dipped it into the ink plate ground by Lu Tianbi. He focused all his attention on completing the document carefully.

"The snow and moon are coming soon." Yu Zhen was silent for a long time, and finally said. He dipped the brush into the ink, and his slender fingers moved easily.
