In my opinion, the first volume is Peach Garden, it is Bennett's Peach Garden.

Today I reread "Peach Blossom Spring".

The fisherman entered the Peach Garden and felt that it was a beautiful place outside the world. What was Tao Yuanming thinking? What was I thinking?

I don’t know what Tao Yuanming was thinking. No matter how many opinions there are, they are just speculations of later generations about him. They can be used as a reference but should not be taken seriously.

I do have some ideas of my own, but they are for reference only. Don't applaud if you think they are right, and don't criticize if you think they are wrong.

Everyone's ideas are actually shaped by the environment, but there are always people who can jump out of the environment. In a closed environment, can people really be happy? Maybe most people don't care, but there will always be a few people who think about the outside world.

But no news has come out of this secluded place. Why?

I was thinking, maybe it’s just a paradise for a few people. The people who invited the fisherman to drink and eat meat live in this paradise. It’s a paradise for the fisherman and for the readers.

I don't believe there is a perfectly beautiful place in the world.

Tao Yuanming was a wise man, and he lived in the Wei and Jin Dynasties. Anyone who has studied history knows what a humiliating period that was. I don't think he would have thought of a completely beautiful world, so why did he write such a story?

An ideal country?

No, at least I don't think so.

The ideal country can only be infinitely approached, but it can never be realized.

What kind of people were the fishermen in ancient times? They could hardly read or write. To put it bluntly, they had no status, no money, and no culture.

What kind of people are inside, or what kind of people are inviting the fishermen to dinner?

If I am not mistaken, people who would sigh and lament the changes in history are educated people, or at least people who have read books.

Why do they entertain the fishermen? Because the fishermen know what is happening outside.

They didn't want others to know about this place, so they let the fisherman go.

Why? Simple and kind? No kidding.

Will people who read ancient books be simple and kind?

I'm afraid it's a struggle for power. Some want to connect with the outside world, while others don't want to be known by the outside world.
