Chapter 67: Basilisk's Halloween Chapter

Summer goes and winter comes, and it's Halloween again.

In the past few months, Alicia's campus life has been relatively peaceful - at most she would sneak out late at night to go to the bathroom with Riddle to look for the basilisk.

Her daily routine was the same as last year, but her mood was very different. Of course, this was due to the fact that she had lined up well, but Alicia could not deny that her mood was completely different when facing Voldemort himself and Riddle.

At least she rarely felt her life was threatened by Riddle.

Riddle seemed to know that his words and actions when he first brought Alicia to the secret room scared her, and he rarely showed that expression after that.

The two of them maintained a strange balance in this way, and no one knew what the other was really thinking, but this did not affect their "cooperation."

Finally, Riddle decided to take action on Halloween.

In the Great Hall, Alicia looked absent-minded as she sat in her seat. She cut the steak too casually. Draco stared at his sister's movements fearfully, fearing that she would cut the wrong place and break the plate.

"Who has offended our dear Chief?" Bryce naturally noticed this scene. He first glanced at Theodore, and then deliberately asked in a pinched voice.

His voice was not small, causing the Slytherins from other grades nearby to look over.

Draco glared at Blaise fiercely. Just as he was about to choke back on his sister's behalf, he found that someone was quicker than him.

"Even food can't stop you from talking." Theodore picked up a large piece of bread expressionlessly and stuffed it directly into Bryce's mouth.

The Slytherins around smiled knowingly - it turned out that they were teasing Nott and Malfoy, which was not surprising.

As one of the parties involved, Alicia naturally noticed something was wrong, but at the moment she didn't want to delve into the matter. She was wholeheartedly worried about what the basilisk... was doing!

Who worries about basilisks?

She didn't care whether Dumbledore had the ability to protect all the students. In Alicia's opinion, as long as she and the people she cared about were safe, everything would be fine.

The question now is whether the basilisk will attack people indiscriminately - what if it suddenly jumps out from somewhere and is seen by Draco?

As expected, she was determined not to leave Draco even for a step!

Then again, no one knows who will be the first snack that the basilisk will "enjoy" on Halloween.

What would these students think if they knew that Dumbledore, who was sitting firmly at the top, allowed "Snack" to be killed?

Alicia guessed with a sense of wickedness, and at the same time raised her head and glanced at the second-year students around her: "Remember to follow me closely when you return to the dormitory later."

Although Pansy and the others didn't know why she suddenly reminded them of this, they all nodded and indicated that they would not leave the team.

None of them wanted to ask more questions, and Alicia would not take the initiative to explain.

So, everyone was surprised when the unexpected incident occurred on the way back to the lounge.

The bloody words on the wall, the motionless Mrs. Norris, and the three slightly panicked Gryffindors - the three saviors.

"Wow, lucky guy." Alicia said with a deadpan expression, seemingly sarcastically but actually with emotion.

How can it not be considered lucky that he ran into the crime scene so recklessly but did not run into the basilisk?

Ron's eyes widened in surprise, he looked at Alicia, then turned to look at Harry, and asked with his eyes: Didn't you say she was very considerate? Is this how she understands?

The people who came after hearing the sound seemed to be turned on by Alicia's words, and they all started discussing - some of them were malicious speculations.

The grief-stricken Filch shouted and pushed through the crowd, running to Mrs. Norris. Listening to the students' speculations, he glared at the three people fiercely, wishing he could convict them on the spot and execute them on the spot.

At this moment, Dumbledore arrived in time to rescue the three little lions and evacuate the irrelevant students.

Alicia took one last look at the bloody words on the wall, then led her classmates out of the creepy corridor.

Tsk, I can’t imagine that the Dark Lord had this tone when he was young.
