Chapter 47: The Philosopher's Stone 2
The operation to sneak into the "treasure" hiding place was not as dangerous and difficult as Alicia had imagined. The journey was incredibly smooth.
She looked at Quirrell cautiously, but the fanaticism in his eyes made the girl put away some of her thoughts.
Quirrell and the Dark Lord's states should affect each other. Now, no matter which one of them is more crazy, it will affect the other's judgment.
In short, they have now lost their minds.
Alicia's eyes fell on the mirror at the bottom of the stairs - it was the Mirror of Erised.
"Is this our destination?" the girl couldn't help but ask.
It's unbelievable. Dumbledore had planned all this long ago.
The Dark Lord is doomed this time.
No one paid attention to her question, and Alicia didn't care. She followed Quirrell's steps and walked to the mirror.
The Dark Lord's hoarse voice echoed throughout the room, and he suppressed his desire and asked, "Where is the Philosopher's Stone?"
What a familiar word! Didn't the Redeemer trio also look up this thing? Nicolas Flamel's work is a treasure that people flock to.
The other end of the line gradually emerged. With so much information and a deep understanding of Dumbledore and the Dark Lord's personalities, anyone could guess the truth of the matter.
Alicia's eyelashes trembled. She tried to put aside those guesses and think about what she should do next.
That's when Harry came running in.
Quirrell turned his head from the Mirror of Erised and looked fiercely at the boy who barged in without knowing the danger: "Harry Potter..."
"It's you." Harry, whose robe was covered in dust, looked at Quirrell fearlessly. "I almost suspected Snape. After all, his performance in the Quidditch match was too suspicious. Now it seems that you are the culprit!"
Damn it, he had suspected Severus? And what did she mean by "it's you"? Wasn't this clearly making the Dark Lord suspicious of her?
Although the possibility is low, it would be terrible if her guess was wrong.
The girl who figured this out didn't care about the anger at all, and retorted: "Call him Professor Snape! And, I really shouldn't have had any hope for Gryffindor's brain."
Harry tried to explain something, but he quickly realized the girl's current situation - Alicia was threatened by Quirrell to come here to steal the Philosopher's Stone, and chose to ask him for help.
He has to guard the Philosopher's Stone and also protect Alicia.
"What a pity! I thought that with such a cold and ruthless Professor Snape in front of me, no one would doubt the poor and pitiful Professor Quirrell." Quirrell deliberately put on a timid look and pretended to stutter.
He reverently untied the turban on his head, revealing the pale and terrifying face at the back of his head.
Alicia was shocked when she saw the Dark Lord in this form for the first time - even though she knew about their parasitic relationship before, she still found the scene very strange when she saw it with her own eyes.
Voldemort raised a wall of fire behind Harry, and then slowly spoke, tempting the boy with benefits: "Harry Potter, I understand your inner desire. Join us, and you will get everything you want, power, status, and even... the rebirth of your parents..."
Alicia retreated to the corner step by step, watching the scene in front of her carefully.
From Potter being forced to come to the magic mirror, the Dark Lord threatening him to tell the whereabouts of the Philosopher's Stone, to Quirrell being ordered to get rid of Potter.
She saw it all.
With a ferocious face, Quirrell soared into the air and rushed straight towards Harry. He stretched out his five fingers, trying to strangle the boy who had ruined his master's plans.
Alicia's heart skipped a beat. She drew out her wand and told herself over and over again: Everything is under Dumbledore's control, and nothing will happen to Harry Potter.
But if Dumbledore really arranged it, why was Potter the only one who came in here? Could he really not be in school? What if there was a loophole in his plan?
While the girl was struggling, Quirrell had already approached Harry.
Seeing this, Alicia rushed forward without thinking and stood in front of the boy: "You can't... kill a student in Hogwarts."
Harry stared blankly at the girl's slightly trembling back, a huge wave of emotion rising in his heart.
However, in the eyes of Quirrell and Voldemort, the girl's eyes were full of fear and confusion - they believed that it was Alicia's fear that she would be accused of a crime after the death of the Savior.
Alicia was just horrified by what she had done. She never thought she would behave so impulsively.
How could such a thing happen to her?
"I can't?" Quirrell gave an exaggerated and weird smile, and looked at Harry with even more murderous intent.
The boy decisively grabbed Alicia's wrist and brought her behind him.
The girl stood there stiffly, holding her wand, not knowing what to do.
At this critical moment, Harry rushed towards Quirrell resolutely, hoping to buy some time for Alicia to break the fire wall spell and escape: "Alicia, run!"
No one expected that when he touched Quirrell, the latter's skin suddenly turned black and eventually turned into powder.
Quirrell looked at himself in disbelief, then at Harry. The boy seemed to have discovered something and grabbed Quirrell's arm again regardless.
"No, it's impossible, what kind of magic is this?" Quirrell roared his last words in his life.
Alicia stared at the scene in amazement. Merlin be damned, she had never experienced anything so dramatic in her previous eleven years.
Harry looked equally confused. He turned to look at the girl and asked cautiously, "Is it over?"
Before the girl could speak, he muttered to himself in a trance: "He's gone, Alicia, we're safe."
"Wait, Alicia!"
A ball of black mist angrily passed through the girl's body and rushed towards Harry without hesitation.
Seeing the two men falling on the cold floor one after the other, the black mist finally escaped neatly from this place that he would remember for the rest of his life.
Before she fell into a coma, there was probably only one sentence in Alicia's mind: Sure enough, things can always become more dramatic.
----------
Voldemort: The Malfoys are all bad teammates. (10,000 words of swear words omitted here)
Xia: Thank you very much. I am just following in my father’s footsteps.
Harry: Another day of being touched by Thea.
