Chapter 31 The Eve of the Holidays
Before they knew it, 1991 was coming to an end. The little wizards were about to usher in the Christmas celebration that was celebrated by the whole country, and they finally had a two-week vacation.
After discussion, Alicia and Draco agreed that they should report the "Dark Lord of the Forbidden Forest Incident" to their father during this holiday.
The castle was filled with a festive atmosphere, even in the classroom.
This can be seen from the fact that Seamus Finnigan exploded the cauldron several times in the Potions class - therefore, Professor Snape was in an unusually good mood after being deducted points many times.
Only the Dark Lord who taught Alicia the dark arts every night was completely inhumane.
For example, right now, tomorrow was Christmas Eve, and the Dark Lord was still asking her to practice spells.
"Smash to pieces!" Alicia had to concentrate and sent her wand straight towards the jumping rat.
With a "snap" sound, the mouse shattered into pieces, and the bright red blood looked particularly glaring against the backdrop of the white snow.
The girl felt a little nauseous. The scene was so shocking that she turned her head away and didn't want to watch it anymore.
Voldemort, who was floating on the side, did not attack him, but commented nonchalantly: "Finally there is some progress. Next one."
He ordered a python to bring a snow rabbit and signaled the girl to continue attacking with other spells.
Alicia, who was taken by Voldemort to the depths of the Forbidden Forest for "study", took a deep breath, raised her wand again, and stared at the snow rabbit motionlessly.
Today was the first time she had cast a harmful spell on a living animal.
No, it's a spell that can achieve the same purpose as the Killing Curse.
They had been here for over two hours, and it was clear that the spells she had used were not what the Dark Lord had expected.
He would not let her leave here until she met his requirements.
If the Dark Lord's patience ran out, Alicia might be left here forever—that strange giant python would be able to swallow her in one gulp.
She didn't have time to think carefully. If the Dark Lord asked her to kill an animal today, would he order her to kill someone tomorrow?
As Voldemort watched, a Fiendfyre enveloped the little snow rabbit.
Against the backdrop of the night, the flames were clearly visible in the girl's eyes.
She was finally able to calmly watch the death of her prey.
Voldemort then revealed a satisfied smile. He placed his pale hands on the girl's shoulders, with a strange satisfaction in his eyes. "Well done, Thea. That's all for today."
He is well aware of the principle that excess is as bad as deficiency.
Alicia felt the biting coldness on her shoulders and shuddered involuntarily, her voice trembling a little: "Yes, Professor... No, Lord Dark Lord. I..."
It was the first time the girl faced Voldemort in this form for a long time and she was a little nervous. After she subconsciously called out "Professor", she quickly realized the inappropriateness of this title.
Before she could finish her explanation, Voldemort gave her an unexpected answer: "It doesn't matter, just call it that."
Although Alicia was surprised, she reacted quickly and obeyed the Dark Lord's order: "Okay, Professor."
What a wonderful name, she was the first person to have the honor of calling him that.
Voldemort, who had once applied for the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, looked a little more relaxed.
In such a strange atmosphere, the girl followed Voldemort closely and walked outside.
She was deeply impressed by the Pegasus' description of the Forbidden Forest. Ironically, in the Forbidden Forest now, only this cruel Dark Lord could give her some sense of security.
The Dark Lord easily detected the girl's dependence - Alicia was almost as fast as him.
He glanced at the girl and said nothing.
Not far away, warm yellow light shines through the glass and out of the window, making people feel peaceful and warm.
It wasn't until she entered the castle that the girl felt at ease.
When they reached the fork in the road, Alicia did not say goodbye to him, but asked with a tactful look, "Shall I take you back to the office first?"
Just the right amount of concern should neither make people feel flattering nor be disrespectful.
"No, go back to the cellar." Voldemort rejected the girl's suggestion without any room for negotiation, but he was quite pleased in his heart.
Alicia did not force him, she even softened her voice, her tone was not harsh at all: "Then I will go back first, thank you for your teaching tonight. I wish you a happy Christmas Eve, good night, professor."
That's right, she had been practicing spells constantly and it took her more than two hours to walk to the castle, which meant that it was already Christmas Eve.
Malfoy, the smooth talker.
Voldemort thought so as he turned and left first, but he was not disgusted by what the girl did.
The girl stood there for three minutes, and only after she was sure that the Dark Lord had gone far away did she carefully cast an Disillusionment Charm and walked towards the cellar.
She was the only one in the huge corridor... Wait, when did the red-haired twins come out? Did they see her, did they see the Dark Lord?
Alicia instantly became alert. She held her breath and concentrated, adhering to the idea of not moving unless the enemy moves.
"Hey, brother, we caught a little snake that was sneaking around at night." George spoke towards the girl with a cunning look on his face.
Fred rushed over to her and swung his arms wildly, almost hitting the girl on the head.
It seems that they didn't discover anything they shouldn't have discovered.
Alicia lifted the spell with a very bad look on her face and stared at the two boys.
"Wow, it's the Disillusionment Charm? So cool!" Fred, whose arm rested just above the girl's head, didn't look embarrassed at all.
George didn't give the girl a chance to speak. He stood directly on the side where Alicia was trying to bypass Fred, blocking her way. "Do you have any plans for adventure? It's not over yet, is it? But now that you've met us, it would be a shame not to go on a night tour with the Weasley brothers!"
"It's none of your business, get out of my way!"
Fred looked back and then put his elbow on his brother's shoulder, like a school bully who was trying to make trouble for his younger brother. "This direction can only lead back to the cellar. It looks like you've been wandering around for a while. Why don't you come with us to the kitchenette for a midnight snack?"
Before Alicia could say anything, she felt hunger in her stomach.
She silently swallowed her refusal and threatened fiercely, "Don't tell anyone."
As far as she knew, the ones most willing to go to the kitchenette were only Hufflepuff and Gryffindor, with fewer Ravenclaw students, and no Slytherin would openly go there for a midnight snack.
The two brothers looked at each other and clapped their hands in tacit understanding. Fred smiled and assured, "No problem, we will never tell anyone else. Welcome to join tonight's midnight snack operation, the tolerant, generous, and beautiful Miss Malfoy."
Alicia was amused by his series of adjectives. She stopped smiling and coughed a few times to hide her joy.
Fred and George didn't care about this. They stood on the girl's left and right, and walked towards the small kitchen while introducing the situation there to her.
Unseen by any of them, Dumbledore, who had been following Alicia outside the Forbidden Forest, appeared from behind a large pillar.
He smiled and stroked his long beard, then walked up the stairs, shaking his head: "Still a child..."

small theater
Fred: Try it. This little cake is really delicious.
George: Here, freshly made sweet milk.
After expending two hours' energy, Alicia thought to herself: Fortunately, I didn't refuse the invitation.
After supper, the two of them walked the girl all the way to the door of the lounge before Alicia stepped in.
Fred spoke first: By the way, Merry Christmas Eve!
George: That’s right, Merry Christmas Eve and have a good sleep!
Thea (hesitating): Um... Merry Christmas Eve, good night.
