Chapter 12 The Weasley Twins
"If I remember correctly, he was standing here when we just finished lunch, right? It's almost time for dinner, what is the old bat doing?" Ron looked at Snape, who was standing motionless, with his eyes wide open and his mouth wide open.
Harry gasped and nudged Ron with his elbow, signaling to his friend that Professor Snape would hear him.
Alicia saw this strange scene from afar. She just took a quick glance and ran straight to the Owl Tower.
She still had to write back to Tony.
So many things happened in the past few days that he had not had time to tell him about the bizarre conversation between him and the Sorting Hat at the Sorting Ceremony. Coincidentally, he still remembered the start time of the wizarding school, so he took the initiative to write to ask about his situation.
The girl entrusted the envelope and a beautiful package to the owl, and it arrived in America early the next morning.
Tony, who had just woken up, saw a strange owl pecking at his window. Seeing this, he walked to the window and took down the things that the owl had brought after a long journey.
It looked like his little wizard friend was in a good mood.
“Dear Tony,
Long time no see, how are you doing?
I have to say that life at Hogwarts is really full of surprises (or perhaps shocks). During the Sorting Ceremony, the Sorting Hat said a lot of strange things to me, which were really incomprehensible. In my opinion, it was probably so old that its logic was no longer clear.
Fortunately, the result is gratifying. I was sorted into Slytherin, just as I told you when we first met..."
"...Finally, if it's convenient for you, could you please help me order a few sealed newspapers from the Muggle newspaper company? I might use them in my Muggle Studies class.
Thank you very much
Alicia Malfoy"
Muggle Studies is not a course that first-year students have to learn. Tony certainly didn't know this. He generously used his money ability to have a newspaper company seal and package newspapers and put them in front of the Stark family's door every day.
The owl will naturally take the initiative to take on the responsibility of delivering the newspaper.
On the other hand, Alicia, who tried to order Muggle newspapers, did not suddenly develop a hobby of studying Muggles, but was just making preparations. Severus would definitely not let Potter be tortured by the mysterious man, and his father's position was not yet clear.
She was well aware that only by keeping everything in her own hands could she avoid being passive. As long as she could achieve her goal, knowing Muggle newspapers was not something she could not accept.
The little witch, who was only eleven years old, didn't know that sometimes, coming up with a perfect plan did not mean that everything would go smoothly.
After learning about the major events, Alicia's life did not change much, at least on the surface. Draco seemed to have been well beaten by Lucius, and until now - more than a week, he did not bother Weasley.
It seems that everything is on track, but the adults don't think so.
Despite Snape's strong opposition, Dumbledore still put the Philosopher's Stone back to its original location to train his golden boy Potter - but the level was changed a little.
Snape was very unhappy when he learned about this, so a certain house suffered. Looking at the decreasing number of rubies day by day, Gryffindor was angry but dared not say anything - if they spoke out, the old bat would definitely deduct points from them!
Obviously, the Weasley twins were not one of them. Although they didn't dare to throw dung eggs at the old bat while he was giving a lecture, who would refuse to play some pranks secretly?
The two red-haired boys clapped their hands knowingly and ran up to the eighth floor to make their gadgets. Everyone else had gone to dinner and no one would notice them.
Facing the empty wall, the two men desperately thought in their hearts: We need a hidden room with a crucible where we can look up information.
A black door appeared out of nowhere in the wall, and they succeeded.
Fred stepped forward first and opened the door excitedly.
"Brother, look what we found. Who would have thought that we could see our distinguished Miss Malfoy from Slytherin here." He leaned against the door, looking at the slightly flustered girl leisurely.
George didn't hesitate and walked straight into the room, pulling Fred in with him.
They had all heard about what happened before the sorting ceremony, and the two older brothers were very dissatisfied with Malfoy's sharp words towards their younger brother - only they could bully little Ronnie, not to mention that she was targeting the entire Weasley family.
"Yeah, I thought the noble Malfoy would only appear in the gloomy cellar and look down on people. Oh, first-year lady, I advise you to put down your wand, your brother is not here."
"It's no use even here." The twins said this in unison.
Alicia glared at them, showing no intention of putting away her wand.
Damn Weasley! She had never, ever been so humiliated!
At this moment, the little girl was like an enraged cat, and she was trying hard to suppress the anger in her heart.
With her current strength, it was really difficult for her to fight against the third-year Weasley twins. Besides, she didn't want to take a day off tomorrow just because she had something strange on her face.
So the girl gritted her teeth and warned, "Get out of here, Weasley!"
These words seemed to be muted in the ears of the two people. They did not think it was a threat at all. It was just a joke at most.
"What if not? You'll have to call your dearest brother, Draco?" George imitated the voice that Alicia deliberately made at the station that day. As he spoke, he and Fred couldn't help laughing.
Alicia didn't expect that someone would hear the names she and Draco called each other when they were playing. She clearly felt her face getting hot. No one would remain indifferent when being teased like this.
Fred looked at the girl who was so ashamed and angry that she wanted to curse them. He snatched the paper from her left hand provocatively and then told them their purpose: "Although you are the goddaughter of that nasty old bat and a little Malfoy, your apology will not be sincere, but I think you still have the obligation to apologize to us."
They wouldn't go so far as to lock a first-year girl in the Room of Requirement to let her feel the power of fecal balls, but since they had encountered it, there was no reason not to do something.
Almost everyone who knew about this incident could hear Alicia Malfoy's subtle sarcasm towards the Weasley family in public, not to mention the Weasley children.
Alicia was so angry that she was shaking all over after hearing the nicknames they gave to the Godfather and the unreasonable demands: "You disgusting red-haired mole, how dare you..."
As she yelled, she suddenly felt extremely aggrieved. Merlin, was she going to cry out all the tears that she hadn't cried in the first eleven years in Hogwarts?
She never thought she would experience something like this, even though it wasn't like this before.
As a girl from the Malfoy family, Alicia was always flattered wherever she went. Even if someone tried to steal her limelight, they would not dare to mock her in person.
Tears immediately spread to the girl's eyes. Alicia didn't even finish the rest of her words and ran straight out.
She couldn't let those two see her cry! That would be too embarrassing!
Fred was dumbfounded when he saw this. He turned around and asked suspiciously, "Uh, did we really go too far just now?"
"Although I don't want to admit it, considering her identity, you know, she is just a spoiled little girl." George thought for a moment and shrugged, "She seems to have been made to cry by us. In this case, it can be regarded as a lesson for her, so let's leave it at that."
Fred was a little annoyed. He walked back and forth and suddenly found something on the small round table.
A Muggle newspaper?
No, more than one.
He looked over the things he had snatched from Malfoy.
"Merlin, this is probably enough for half a month." George, who came over, expressed Fred's thoughts completely.
"Did we misunderstand her? I mean... it was little Ronnie who couldn't help but laugh at her brother's name first. Maybe she's just too angry..." George picked up a newspaper and said while reading it.
Fred did not refute, and even made a bold guess: "Those words should have been said by her father at home, and she blurted them out in anger. A little girl who subscribes to Muggle newspapers and tries to break free from the shackles of pure blood!"
"We learned her accent in her presence." George scratched his hair.
"And she calls her godfather Old Bat."
"Brother, it looks like we made a wrong decision," Fred concluded.
He almost immediately pictured in his mind an image of someone who had the courage to break the prejudice of bloodline, which explained her long conversation with the Sorting Hat during the Sorting Ceremony.
Unlike her brother, she was not a wizard who would be sorted into Slytherin instantly.
In a way, they got the truth right, but it couldn't be further from the truth.
The girl ran all the way to the women's restroom on the first floor before stopping. She felt even sadder when she saw herself in the mirror, looking a little disheveled.
Alicia, who had no idea what was going on in Fred and George's mind, washed her face and carefully fixed her hair.
The sobbing in the innermost compartment had stopped when she noticed someone coming in, so Alicia had no idea that she was not alone there.
She showed a frustrated expression to the mirror and murmured, "I left the Muggle newspaper there. I wonder if they will tell anyone about this... No, I must find a way to get the newspaper back."
Once the evidence was gone, no one would believe them even if they told everyone she subscribed to a Muggle newspaper.
