Shancai Rebirth: My Choice

Chapter 20: Rooftop "Encounter"

The girl glared at her fiercely, but still walked out arrogantly.

After watching the girl leave, Shan Lai didn't say anything more. He just dragged a set of tables and chairs to the back of the classroom and put them back to his original position.

Another afternoon passed.

She asked Xiaoyou to have dinner with her, but Xiaoyou hasn't replied to her message yet.

School was over, but she was still staring at the chat box between her and Xiaoyou.

"Hey."

Someone tapped her on the shoulder.

Shanlai almost jumped out of fright.

"Haha, our teacher kept the class going for a long time, so I was a little late." Xiaoyou put her hands behind her back.

Shan Lai nodded in understanding.

"Let's go and have dinner." Xiaoyou pointed in the direction outside the classroom.

Xiaoyou didn't hesitate and pulled Shanlai out together.

The two of them went to eat grilled fish together, and after eating and drinking, they strolled in the park together.

"Fate is such a wonderful thing. It let me meet a friend like you." Shanlai spoke first, looking at Xiaoyou with a smile.

Xiaoyou also found it very strange. At the beginning, it was just a collision between two people and their car, but now they can be considered friends.

Fate is really amazing.

The two talked about a lot more, including study, family, and many hobbies.

Shanlai only said that she came from an ordinary family, who could just barely have enough food and clothing, and her family could afford to send her to school.

Xiaoyou's family conditions are pretty good, not as bad as most but better than most. She looked at Shanlai with sympathy and expressed her understanding.

"If you encounter financial difficulties in the future, you can come to me." Xiaoyou was very kind.

Shanlai nodded frantically.

The two talked for a while, and then felt that it was about time, so Xiaoyou went home first.

Only Shanlai was left wandering in the park.

As she walked around, she had no idea where she was, but fortunately she was not a directionally challenged person. She looked at the surrounding scenery and walked out based on her memory.

Halfway through the walk, she seemed to see a familiar person.

The man turned his back to her and spoke to a boy, "Are you sure?"

"About 80 or 9 points." The boy seemed quite proud.

After saying that, the boy walked away.

The girl showed half of her face, and Shanlai took a closer look and realized that this was Nana from the previous life.

What weird thing is she planning to do again?

But she did not forget that Nana used all means to harm her for some unknown purpose.

Finally she caught him.

But they don't have much in common now, so she naturally won't help her with all her might like a stupid fool.

Although she complained in her heart, she was not stupid enough to go out and ask her what bad idea she had.

After Nana walked away, Shanlai came out from her hiding place, folded her arms across her chest and looked at the person who had already gone away.

After thinking for a long time, Shanlai still had no clue, so he decided to go home first.

In the following month, her life was pretty comfortable.

After she beat up not only Daomingsi but also his top lackeys, she became completely famous and no one in the school dared to mess with her.

She just listens to the classes every day, occasionally asks Xiaoyou to have some delicious food, and then goes to the flower shop to help Xiaoyou.

Her life was orderly. She did whatever she wanted and bought whatever she wanted. Overall, she lived a good life.

It's not bad to see some of them from time to time.

"Hey, hey, hey, have you heard that Senior Jing has returned to China?" The girls discussed in a low voice, glancing at Shanlai out of the corner of their eyes as they spoke.

This made her very confused. It was fine for Senior Sister Jing to come back, so they could gossip as they pleased. What did they mean by glancing at her?

Shan Lai glared back, and the little girls lowered their heads and stopped looking at her.

After a while it was time for class and everyone returned to their seats.

The bell for the end of get out of class finally rang, but Shanlai had no interest in eating and lazily lay on the table doing his homework.

"Do you want to eat something together?" someone asked her standing in front of her.

Shanlai looked up and continued to lie back on the table to do his homework.

"No, thank you." Shan Lai's tone was cold, without any emotion.

"Aren't you hungry?" the girl asked again.

"I'm not hungry." Shan Lai answered perfunctorily, showing no intention of having a deeper conversation with her.

"You like it."

"I have something else to do, so I'll leave first." Shan Lai interrupted her, scratched his hair irritably, picked up the phone in his stomach on the table, and walked away from the girl.

After walking out of the classroom, Shan Lai patted his chest with lingering fear.

In her previous life, she was young and ignorant, and didn't know what it meant to be the first to be shot.

She has learned to be smart in this life. She will not have any contact with people she should not make friends with.

Suddenly remembering what his classmates said about Senior Jing's return, Shanlai gloomily threw the phone up and caught it with his hand, threw it up and caught it with his hand.

As we walked, we came to the rooftop where the class often stayed.

Shan Lai stood beside the railing of the rooftop, supporting his head with his hands, looking at the street not far away.

Senior Sister Jing is back, and Senior Sister Bai Yueguang is back.

There should be a welcoming banquet at that time, and everyone will go, including her.

Even if she had to go, she had to go in a dignified manner and would never let others plot against her.

"What are you doing here?" a voice came from behind her.

It was still that familiar gentle male voice.

"Senior Lei." Shan Lai seemed very surprised. He didn't expect to meet him here.

"Yeah." Lei replied softly.

The two did not speak anymore, Shanlai just looked into the distance quietly.

After watching for a few minutes, Shan Lai said carefully, "Senior Lei, I haven't thanked you for what happened last time."

Hua Ze Lei looked at her with a smile on his face. "What's the matter? Should I send you to the infirmary?"

Shan Lai was stunned for a moment, not knowing how to answer him. It would be more reliable to thank him with actual actions than with words.

"I guess so. I said I would treat you to a meal last time, but I haven't done it yet." Shan Lai deliberately skipped the topic.

Hanazawa Rui originally thought that she would talk about the last time he sent her to the infirmary, but she skipped it directly.

Maybe the little girl was a little shy and felt that it was not a good thing for something like that to happen.

"Want to have dinner? I'm free on Saturday, otherwise you can treat me on Saturday." Hanazawa Rui smiled and looked into the distance.

"Saturday?" Shan Lai thought he was joking.

"Yes, it's Saturday. Today is Thursday, and tomorrow is Friday. I'm free because I don't have classes on Saturday." Huaze Lei looked into her eyes and spoke every word as if he was speaking specifically to her, and he even slowed down his speech on purpose.

Shanlai felt something was wrong but couldn't put her finger on it, but she nodded anyway.

She hadn't figured out any plans for Saturday, and she didn't have anything particularly important to do in the next few days, so treating her to a meal wasn't a big deal.

However, with his status, would he go to a small restaurant that he couldn't name...

"Senior, do you have any favorite food?" Shan Lai rubbed his head and asked seriously.

"Except for being allergic to soybeans, I'm fine with everything else. I'm not picky about food." Hanazawa Rui put his left hand in his pocket and put his right hand on the railing, tapping it with his fingers from time to time.
