Chapter 44 Passing through arid planets

Looking at the planet over there, Feng chose to land on a yellowish-brown planet. His intuition told him that it would be very useful to come here.

Planet Alhara.

A huge figure fell from the sky, like a meteorite falling to the ground.

The arrival of the black figure caused a strong shock wave. The huge body carried a thick black air. Feng landed on the ground with his feet, the earth shook, yellow soil flew, and formed a huge dust cloud.

The people below fled, hiding from the giant.

The black body turned into black particles and dissipated into the air. The people who began to flee stopped to watch.

"Cough cough cough." Feng coughed and drove away the smoke.

I have to be more restrained next time I appear in public. I thought I was very cool, but who could have imagined that I would be so embarrassed.

The natives of the planet Alhara surrounded Feng steadily. Due to long-term exposure to the scorching sun, the natives' skin was usually tanned, and wrinkles appeared prematurely on their faces, making them look both pitiful and fierce.

"Outsider, what are you doing in this village?" The village chief did not immediately ask the men in the village to capture this outsider.

Three people, two brothers and a sister, came from the neighboring village before. They reeked of blood and had a murderous aura, but they did not choose to attack these poor people. Instead, they helped them dig a well. Now several surrounding villages rely on this well for their livelihood.

"Can you please put down your weapons first?" Feng said as he looked at the people around him holding farm tools and picking up stones from the ground.

"No, I need to know why you are here." The old village chief couldn't trust anyone, even though the person in front of him looked gentle and refined.

He is not an old man who knows nothing. There is a group of ruthless capitalists in the galaxy. They rely on the interstellar alliance they belong to to exploit the indigenous people of many planets and even massacre disobedient races on a large scale.

"I..." Feng really had nothing to say. He came here on a whim, without any reason.

"I'm a wanderer from the galaxy. I heard that this place suffers from drought every year, so I came here to see if I can solve the problem." Feng didn't feel embarrassed at all as he lied.

When the old village chief heard that they were here to solve a problem, he was a little skeptical. What could anyone possibly want from these poor old farmers?

However, the old village chief still asked everyone to disperse as soon as possible to avoid any conflicts.

"Come on, children, put down your weapons. We are here to help us." The old man said to everyone.

The old man was very prestigious. After he said this, many men put down their weapons and started doing their own things.

"You are the giant who just landed." Why did the old village chief believe Feng immediately? Because if Feng wanted to do something bad, they would have no way to resist a giant several dozen meters tall.

"It's better not to mention the power that I got by chance." Feng didn't want to discuss this issue in depth.

"Haha, it's okay. But you can see that we old farmers don't have much skills. We can't do anything except farming." The old village chief was really afraid that the people in his village would be captured and made slaves, so he put on a layer of armor first.

"Old man, can you take me around here?" Feng didn't have any other ideas, so he decided to help if he could.

"Okay, then I'll take you around, but don't look down on us." There would be no problem with taking him around, just think of it as a field trip for him.

Due to the lack of water resources, the houses here are simple and dilapidated. Most of the houses are made of adobe or stone, and the walls are bleached by the sun, and some even have cracks.

The roofs are mostly made of thatch or iron sheets, which look shaky under the scorching sun. The windows are small to reduce the amount of sunlight entering, but they still cannot block the invasion of heat waves.

The furnishings in the village chief's house were also extremely simple, with almost no decent furniture and very few daily necessities.

"It's really a bit difficult." Feng observed the general situation of the village. This is not a problem that can be solved by giving some aid. This is caused by the climate. Feng has no means to change the climate of a planet.

"Excuse me, the villagers' lives will be better after the harvest in autumn." The old village chief sat on his kang, looked at his little grandson in front of him, and said to Feng.

"It's okay. By the way, where is the child's father?" Feng regretted his words as soon as he opened his mouth. He just hated himself for being so stupid.

"My father, there was a severe drought that year and our whole family was left with nowhere to go. So he became a slave for people from outside..." The old man was silent for a long time before he spoke slowly.

"I'm sorry, I offended you." Feng looked at the sleeping child and felt a thousand points of critical hit in his heart.

It’s not that I can’t bear to see others suffer, but I can’t bear to see children suffer.

"It's okay." The old man only said these two words and nothing else.

"I will try my best to find a solution to the drought problem." Feng felt it was necessary to go to Earth and get all the well-drilling equipment for himself.

"Then I, old man, would like to thank you on behalf of the whole village." The old man was very excited, and his skinny hands tightly held Feng's hands.

"This is what I should do." Feng said as he looked at the little baby who was wrapped tightly.

"Well, old man, you said that there have been outsiders coming here, right?" Feng did not forget his original plan.

"There was one before, but I don't know if it's there now." The old man was not very sure, and didn't know why Feng asked this.

"Is that so? Then I'll go around on my own first." Feng got up and left the village chief's house, waving goodbye.

Leaving the village, the land is vast and flat. A large part of the land has become dry and cracked due to long-term lack of water, forming criss-crossing turtle patterns.

The sun scorched the land mercilessly, and the earth lost its vitality. The grass and trees turned yellow and withered, and only a few drought-resistant plants grew tenaciously.

When the wind blows, dust flies, forming small sandstorms that make it difficult to breathe.

On the flat ground, looking far into the distance, there is a barrenness and dead silence, without any life. The water of life here has dried up, leaving only desolation and despair.

Feng stepped into this lifeless land. The dark energy in his body churned. He used the dark power to explore underground for places where he could dig wells, in order to bring new hope to this land.

"I didn't expect you have this side. It seems like there's a reason why the Warrior Peak chose you." Dark Ring watched Feng trying so hard to explore. In the past, he thought that he might be pretending to be nice to others.

"There are more things you can't imagine. Don't just stand there. Help me and explore together."

"I don't understand these things, and the key is that I don't know how to do it!" The Dark Ring is not omnipotent and knows everything.

"I'll do it myself. You just check to see if there are any aliens."
