Harry Potter: Reunion with the Enemy

Chapter 87 Paper Butterfly Magic Show (Part )

"No! How can I face people like this!" Harry dodged the nail polish brush that Draco extended to him. "I still have to go back to the Ministry of Magic to see my Auror colleagues!"

"You let others paint it but I won't paint it for you." Draco said angrily. He put the small brush back into the bottle and dipped it again.

"It was hard to refuse the Duchess's kindness when she was doing a manicure - and I was painting my feet, so I could hide them by putting on my shoes." Harry said breathlessly, shrinking behind the sofa, "I agreed out of politeness. Didn't you say you wanted to make friends with them?"

"You even let someone touch your feet." Draco raised his voice, "Is the manicurist a man or a woman? No, neither a man nor a woman."

The incident started a few days ago when Draco accidentally discovered that Harry had a set of exquisite manicures on his toenails while wearing slippers. This amazing discovery led Draco to hold Harry's feet and study them for a long time, and found that Muggle nail polish worked well on Harry.

Draco's creative desire was aroused, and he set his sights on Harry's currently bare fingernails and bought a set of manicure tools overnight.

"I refuse." Harry held out his wand to Draco. "If you dare to force me to paint my nails, I will never talk to you again."

"Just a subtle coat of color, just a small layer." Draco stepped closer. "I think this color would go well with a size 16 ring."

Harry was still backing away warily. "You reminded me. I informed Lancelot to come pick up the tickets today. It's almost eight o'clock. He should be showing up soon."

"Great, I can ask him to help hold you down." Draco's eyes sparkled.

"Or I'll kick the beggar duo out of this apartment." Harry replied firmly. "Don't come near me!"

"Crack!" After an explosion of Apparition, Lancelot appeared in the living room, facing the ferocious Harry and Draco who was approaching tentatively with nail polish in his hand.

"I thought I would see you two hugging and being affectionate, but that's not what I expected." Lancelot shrugged. "Why do you look like you're going to fight?"

"Yes, ideally, Harry should be lying in my arms right now, watching me paint his nails. But—" Draco's eyes were immediately drawn to the cat in his arms. "Kitten?"

"New pet?" Harry put down his wand and walked towards Lancelot. He reached out to touch the silver kitten, but the kitten nimbly jumped from Lancelot's arms to the sofa and dodged Harry's hand. Then the kitten lay down beside the California king snake, and its two ice-blue eyes looked around at everything in the apartment.

"It's a stray cat, but it's surprisingly smart." Lancelot explained, "I heard it was being bullied, so I picked it up."

"Hermione's Crookshanks is also very smart. Crookshanks can even detect Animagus. It was the first one to find out that Scabbers was Pettigrew." Harry recalled Hermione's ginger-colored pancake-faced cat, not noticing that his hand was caught by Draco after it flew out of the air. Nor did he notice that the silver kitten's body tensed up.

Draco quickly took out the small brush again, turned back to Lancelot and said, "I think you need more than just a pet. Perhaps you can ask Madam Malfoy to help you find some attractive ladies. So what kind of girls do you like?"

"I--" Lancelot had just sat down and started to speak when the silver kitten jumped from the sofa to the table, then jumped onto Lancelot's knees, and kicked all the nail polish on the table onto the carpet as it passed.

Draco hurried back to rescue the carpet, and Harry finally came to his senses and pulled his hand back.

"I don't seem to see what's so clever about little kitties - cleaned up," Draco waved his wand, "although it looks cute." He was sure the cat glared at him after hearing this.

"He has a bad temper too." Draco added lazily. "If you like, I can ask someone to find you a better breed of cat."

"It may be a little shy." Lancelot explained after helping to tidy up the carpet. "It is very well behaved in my house, although it only appears every night."

"I called you here today because the Duchess gave me an extra ticket - a ticket to Quinn's origami magic show, and Draco is not going." Harry handed over a thick colorful performance ticket.

"Thank you - but I haven't actually participated in these entertainment activities much." Lancelot scratched his head embarrassedly.

"In fact, Draco and I think we can help you expand your network while promoting the project. The Muggle ladies I met all liked your work. They asked me where I bought the size 16 ring." Harry said, "If you are willing to contact them, customizing jewelry for these rich people will allow you to come into contact with the upper class and make more money. You don't have to sell it at a discount on the black market."

Draco took over the conversation: "If you can make your personal designer brand famous, rich ladies will be willing to pay a lot of money for it."

"As your fame grows, people will envy you, and then other groups will do everything they can to suppress and persecute you - even your family will be implicated." Lancelot lowered his eyes.

"Hey, don't think of it that way. Just think of it as keeping me company." Harry bent down to encourage Lancelot and put the ticket into his hand. "With you here, I don't have to keep thinking of new topics to talk to the Duchess. You can talk to her about jewelry or something."

"Thank you." Lancelot put the ticket into his bag and said gratefully.

"You will shine, Lancelot. But this origami magician looks familiar. She seems to be a wizard." Draco watched Lancelot put away the tickets with satisfaction. "She is very good at studying some spells with good visual effects."

"She's a wizard?" Harry asked.

"She has many female fans in the wizarding world." Draco remembered the topic that had been interrupted, turned around and said to Lancelot, "You can pay attention to see if there are any girls you like. I believe there are many female audiences - maybe."

Draco felt the silver cat glare at him again.

"I have never fallen in love with anyone." Lancelot waved his hands and smiled bitterly.

"But it doesn't take long to fall in love with someone. It may take a long time to fall in love but not get the person." Draco said without thinking. "I'm just saying, what if - you look like the type that girls would like, maybe it's just that you stay in the tomb every day."

"So you know her, the origami magician?" Harry asked Draco.

"She was on the cover of Wizard Fashion a few months ago. I'll look for it." Draco walked to the bookshelf and looked for magazines. "The editor-in-chief of this magazine has a strong personal style and often finds some interesting topics. I occasionally flip through it, but I didn't expect this magician to have such a large-scale performance in the Muggle society."

After hearing the word "Wizard Fashion", the silver cat moved again, and finally ran to the bookshelf and started looking for magazines with Draco.

"Okay. I'd better get on good terms with the Duchess as soon as possible so that she can invite me to her house earlier - to look for goblin products." Harry said as he worked hard to clean the nail polish that had just been secretly painted. "Lancelot, remember to help me lead the topic to visiting her home."

Harry knew that all of Draco's recent actions were intended to take the heavy burden on himself and give some safer and easier tasks to the so-called Harry Malfoy, so that the savior would not feel neglected or left aside with nothing to do.

But "The Adventures of Green-Eyed Boy" is not easy to write. When one is in it, one knows that the wonderful story behind it is not as simple and easy as imagined.

Harry didn't want to expose Draco's good intentions too early, but he was ready to wait until a certain young master who was trying too hard to show off could no longer withstand the pressure and danger, and then remind him that he was always there.
