Harry Potter: Reunion with the Enemy
Chapter 82 Blackout Night
Harry hadn't been this angry in a long time. Ever since he started working at the Ministry, Harry had been trying not to be the man who occasionally got angry and yelled.
He knew that Draco's statement to the media was undoubtedly a carefully prepared lie. In the past years of lack of emotional needs and family care, Harry could clearly distinguish the difference between love and not love.
Actions are often more convincing than words. When it comes to distinguishing love from not love, it is more important to look at what a person does than to listen to what he says. And there is no doubt that the sincerity of the person who accompanied him in the hospital bed, in the dungeon, and countless mornings and nights is sincere.
But Harry's bad mood can be traced. He hates being kept in the dark or being arranged. Whether it is out of good intentions or not, such as the Order of the Phoenix hiding the specific plan to protect him, Dumbledore already knew the secret of the prophecy but did not tell him, and Snape carefully revealed the truth before his death.
There is also the love hidden in the deepest part of the brain of this "pure-blooded beggar, drowned rat" in front of him. Sometimes it is too late to know the truth, and even if it is not too late, a lot has been missed.
"How long do you want to keep a secret this time?" Harry leaned close to Draco and asked. He could see Draco's eyelashes trembling with guilt. "Another seven years? Or wait until you die and then pull out your memories and show them to me? To prove that you are a kind person, and leave me alone to be sad and regretful?"
Draco lowered his head. He didn't want to hide from Harry the fact that he wanted to take the responsibility alone, but because he was used to acting much faster than speaking, he had to prepare himself mentally for a long time before speaking.
But he underestimated the Auror's keen insight, and Harry's seemingly harmless other side - the dark side that was aroused by childhood abuse and long-term confrontation with Voldemort and the separation of life and death.
"I don't want to add a disgraceful chapter to the Savior's resume in the future. I'm already satisfied with the textbook version now." Draco answered hesitantly. "There's not much I can do now."
Draco was pulled into the house by Harry, and the wet rain and mist were isolated outside the door.
In terms of venomous tongue, Draco and Harry's cursing skills are actually comparable and each has its own merits. Compared to Draco's previous use of "mudblood" and various words to attack people at Hogwarts, Harry's curses can generally accurately hit people's sore spots, and with just a little trick, he can make people angry.
But this was not a good time to argue with his wife. Draco looked at Harry with a slightly aggrieved look.
"If you still want to include me in your future plans, please discuss these decisions with me." Harry took off the beggar's clothes that Draco wore home with disgust, thinking about whether to throw it into the trash can or use the Vanishing Charm directly.
Draco nodded, accepting Harry's waning anger. The wet clothes had been clung to the surface like another layer of skin, but now that they were removed, another kind of coldness reached the surface of the body.
Harry seemed to want to practice wandless magic again, so he pointed at the pile of wet rags, but there was no response. Then he tried to cast a warming spell on Draco, which succeeded.
"Whose is this?" Harry asked lazily as he continued to try the Vanishing Charm on the wet clothes. "Where are you fooling around so late at night? Who could force you to wear these things? I'm curious."
"I'm not fooling around!" Draco immediately retorted, "I just went to the Night Watch black market with Lancelot, and in the poor -"
The sudden darkness cut Draco's words off in the middle.
All the lights in the apartment were off. To be more precise, all the indicator lights on the electrical appliances in the apartment were off as well.
"What's going on? What happened?"
"...Did you cast any spell?" Draco asked hesitantly.
"I'm using a Vanishing Charm on this pile of Lancelot's rags." Harry's eyes widened in the darkness.
"But it's still here." Draco was shirtless. He fumbled to pick up the wet clothes on the ground and guided Harry to touch it.
The sound of water dripping on clothes confirmed Draco's words.
"Where did the Vanishing Charm go?" Harry wondered.
"Come on, this is the spell you cast." Draco pressed the light switch on the wall in vain, but there was no response. "I have a bold guess, did you make all the wires disappear? Wandless spells are difficult to control-"
"..." Harry wanted to refute, but he suddenly remembered the glorious feat of making the zoo's glass disappear.
"Maybe try a Restoration Charm?" Draco could sense Harry beside him getting irritated with shame for his mistake.
"Fluorescence."
The light from the wand illuminated the darkness, and Harry saw that Draco, who had admitted his mistake obediently a few minutes ago, looked like he was clearly trying to hold back a laugh.
"Merlin, shut up." Harry gave Draco a glare before he could even open his mouth.
Harry struggled for a while before he finally lifted up the socket board. Draco was right, he really had made all the wires disappear.
The restoration spell seemed unable to completely restore the wires. He tried many times but failed to get everything back to normal.
"Maybe we can hire a Muggle electrician tomorrow," Harry gave up and spoke calmly in the small light of his wand.
"Let him knock down the wall and reinstall the circuit?" Draco finally couldn't help but burst out laughing.
"Then you come and fix it? Vanishing Cabinet repair expert?" Harry lightly hit Draco who had hugged him from behind. "Don't touch me."
Draco hugged her tighter. "Prepay the repair bill."
"Do you know what you smell like now? Go take a shower." Harry pushed Draco towards the bathroom. He refused to have too much contact with the homeless version of Malfoy.
"How can I wash in the dark?" After being dragged to the door, Draco turned around and pulled Harry into the bathroom as well. "Hold the wand for me to light up, thank you. Whoever causes trouble will be held responsible."
"I haven't forgiven you for taking the initiative to release the news and rejecting my confession in public." Harry was blocked by Draco.
"I think my sky-high viewing fee can make up for it. This is not something that ordinary people can see." Draco snatched the wand from Harry, cast a spell with ease to lock Harry and the glass sliding shower door together, and then placed the wand high on the door frame.
"Also, how do you think it would be more appropriate to calculate the circuit repair fee?" Draco placed his palm on Harry's forehead, gently grasped the black hair on his forehead, and made him look up at him. "Do it mentally?"
