Harry Potter: Reunion with the Enemy

Chapter 155 Good Night, Monster

Teddy was distractedly fiddling with the flower pots in the garden outside the door. He didn't expect to actually grow anything, but the increasingly chaotic and noisy werewolf companions in the past few days made the house look like a disaster.

"I told you not to drink in my house!" Teddy shouted as he watched a bottle fall from the window.

"This is my last stock, I don't want to waste it!" The werewolf who had just bit off the bottle cap with his teeth roared back, "Besides, we won't be here tomorrow."

"Mad." Teddy knew he was outnumbered, so he simply turned his back and stopped arguing. Tomorrow was the night of the full moon, but these werewolves were dancing like they were catching up with the last carnival.

"Jack, why are you so excited these days?" Teddy asked helplessly when he felt a werewolf approaching him.

"Maybe - I'm going to see Mom and Dad tomorrow -" Jack said, touching his gray hair.

Teddy turned around with a little surprise, "But old Jack, didn't your parents die a long time ago? Are you kidding?"

Jack said cheerfully, "Yeah."

"So our plan has failed, right? The goblin has asked me to disguise myself as my godfather so many times, and it has been a long time, but the wizard has not given in and said he would improve our treatment and living environment." Teddy was unhappy.

"Maybe there's just one final step left, kid." Jack looked at the wilted plants with an especially gentle look in his eyes.

"What's the finishing touch?" Teddy turned his head and looked at the old werewolf.

"It's the last force before the door opens, but we don't know what the scene is behind the door - it may be a better room, or a cliff -" Jack said happily.

"You're all weird." Teddy concluded. You know, old Jack used to have a hot temper and would lose his temper at everyone if he didn't like it. "Why do you look so docile now?"

"Have you ever seen Muggle portraits?" Old Jack asked suddenly, "Those gray, motionless photos. The people in the portraits are very gentle, with warm and eternal smiles."

"Enough. I don't want to listen to your weird talk anymore. It's obviously better to get a good rest before the full moon night so that I can recover my strength sooner afterwards." Teddy covered his ears and stomped his feet.

"I remember you were an unstable half-werewolf." Old Jack changed the subject. "The increase in our werewolf population is usually due to infection, and we rarely have our own offspring."

"Yeah." Teddy nodded. "Every time the moon is full, I don't know if I will transform. If it is a stable transformation, no accidents will happen."

Old Jack said no more, but slowly pulled Teddy up to the attic. "You'd better go to bed early. I'll get up early tomorrow."

Teddy picked up the potion and walked towards Harry's bed. He felt dizzy every time he changed the medicine these days, and he didn't even remember whether he had really fed Harry the medicine. But the empty medicine bowl made him sure that he was affected by the moon and there was nothing else wrong.

Originally, Teddy didn't want to use his home as a shelter for fellow werewolves. But once a werewolf is registered by the Ministry of Magic, apart from regular detention and marginal assistance, the rest are negative effects - such as semi-public discrimination.

Teddy stared at the chocolate frog pictures of his parents on the wall as usual, and when sleepiness came, he would fall into sleep, but today everyone seemed so restless that the imperceptible heartbeats in the room seemed to form a piece of music.

Teddy felt himself being pushed by the werewolf next to him.

"What's wrong?" Teddy came back to consciousness from the edge of sleep.

"Can I sleep with that gas lamp tonight?" the werewolf muttered. "The one on the table, though it might give some light."

Teddy originally wanted to pretend that he didn't hear it, but finally relented and helped him get the gas lamp, and then he even went to the trouble to help him light the flame, and the soft light illuminated a small area.

Teddy turned around and found that the werewolf next to him had tears all over his face.

"Thank you, I just don't want to leave in the dark. In fact, the goblin asked me to give you some potion, but I was afraid you wouldn't be able to wake up in time to take your godfather out, so the Stunning Spell would last a shorter time."

Teddy was surprised and confused, but the werewolf had already raised his wand.

"Wait, why are you all like this?" Teddy wanted to step forward and take the wand away. "What do you want to do?"

"Good night, monster." The werewolf wiped his cheek with his dirty sleeve and cast a spell that hit Teddy's body accurately. "I won't see you tomorrow."

"Don't miss this opportunity!" The coach of the Bulgarian national team has been repeating this to Krum in the past few days. "The best time for athletes will never come back."

Krum knew what the coach meant. Although he had been a great player as a seeker in the last World Cup, he chose to catch the Snitch and end the game when his team was behind. This made some fans and teammates sad and confused. In fact, he had a serious nose injury in the last World Cup, and his vision was blurred due to the blood splatter. His team was also far behind. He ended the game early just to make sure the score didn't get any worse.

But this time, we must win together with our teammates no matter what. This is the biggest goal and the mission.

"There are security checks from the Ministry of Magic every once in a while these days, and there are newly assigned plainclothes Aurors everywhere - I even suspect that this is a trick England is using to distract us in order to win the World Cup." The coach stared at several serious-looking Aurors and smacked his lips in dissatisfaction.

"And the goalie on the other side seemed to be on a roll - he looked so excited, the guy named Wood," the coach added.

"They are very good people." Krum recognized Ron, whose face was pale as if he had seen a ghost, and walked forward.

As a staff member of the Quidditch-related department, Krum had often run into Ron since the World Cup group stage, because they had met during the Triwizard Tournament. Every time, the two of them would just greet each other lukewarmly and pass by each other - after all, Ron is now Hermione Granger's husband. As a world superstar, Krum has never lacked admirers and suitors, but Hermione is a very special girl.

Not long after Krum saw the strange scene outside the stadium during the match, the Ministry of Magic's security and inspection personnel increased several times. Of course, this was all introduced by insiders, and these Aurors were dressed like ordinary fans and mixed in the crowd.

"Is there something going on?" Krum stopped Ron and asked. "I did see some strange people in the camp a few days before the competition - but it was raining so hard that I couldn't be sure. And I received a letter from my friend, who told me to be careful the night before the final. Is it tomorrow?"

Ron steadied his somewhat erratic steps and said as if he had made up his mind: "We will definitely protect your safety to the death. If the worst happens, we have already made a plan to evacuate these 100,000 spectators back home."

"Something's going on, buddy." A familiar voice sounded in my ears.

Krum turned around and saw his former rival speaking with his face hidden tightly, his lightning-shaped scar revealing his identity.
