Harry Potter: Reunion with the Enemy
Chapter 149 Dungeon
Lucius was right. The torture instruments that had not yet been destroyed in the basement did look horrifying and beautiful. Wizards and Muggles were equally sophisticated in the methods of punishing their fellows. These torture instruments could cause extreme pain and indefinitely prolong the time of death, so much so that after so long, the screams of those tortured by Voldemort could still be clearly remembered by Draco.
After Draco dragged the knocked-out impostor into the basement, he immediately changed his mind. He directly skipped the pile of torture instruments left behind by the Death Eaters and turned around to take the man to a simpler and more convenient dungeon.
Teddy is still a child, Draco thought to himself.
Although Draco always likes to speak harshly, it does not mean that he likes to torture and manipulate people who are weaker than him for fun like Voldemort. As people grow up, they are constantly shaped by everything around them - everyone they see, the books they read, every emotion they experience, the love they receive and the scars they get will all be remembered by their bodies and dissolved into their flesh and blood.
Exposing Teddy to more violence or abuse will not change anything.
Draco locked the impostor tightly in the dungeon. To be on the safe side, Draco also took out the muzzle and gloves for restraint - to show his respect for Teddy's werewolf ancestry. After all, Draco didn't want to face any risk of disfigurement.
After confirming that he had taken all measures to deal with resistance and escape, Draco pointed his wand at the impostor, bringing him back to consciousness.
Harry's hair and robes were covered in dirt on the gray floor of the dungeon. He might have made up for all the sleep he had missed in his life in the past few days. When he regained consciousness and saw Draco standing in front of him, his green eyes quickly flashed with a mixture of confusion, anger and speechlessness.
"Don't look at me with such pitiful eyes." Draco said with a straight face, "I suggest you talk to me with your original appearance." Draco turned his head away with some displeasure. This impostor was using Harry's appearance, which made it difficult for him to be ruthless to him no matter what. Moreover, he found that this impostor was much more lively than the last time they met. He was afraid that he would feel soft-hearted if the impostor started to beg.
Harry was silent for a long time, as if he was thinking hard about what new tricks Draco was brewing. It was always him who let Draco stir up trouble - from wedding photos to women's clothing and all kinds of unscrupulous ideas - what bad intentions could Malfoy have? Why didn't he give himself time to prepare this time? What lines should he say to make Draco happy now - or should he just interrupt everything - after all, he still had to go to work at the Ministry of Magic.
It was all very strange.
"Why don't you speak? Ah? I've discovered your identity." Draco grabbed the muzzle that was firmly fastened on Harry's face and shook it. "If you reveal some clues about your defection to the enemy in advance, I can also say something good about you at the Ministry of Magic."
"What good words?" Harry felt the skin on his cheeks being pulled by the metal, and the muzzle made his breath very weak. He tried to stand up, but the heavy restraining gloves and chains made him fall back to the ground.
Draco was the one who always liked to bite people without permission. Why did he wear the muzzle on his face? Harry glared at Draco.
"About you pretending to be your godfather and standing up for goblins all over the street. Goblins won't try their best to fulfill your wishes. Werewolves are just tools to be used. I dare say that if the Quidditch attack is successful, the goblins will put all the blame on you." Draco simply squatted down and persuaded him. "Tell me more information now and you will have a chance to make amends."
Harry's whole body tensed up, and his breathing couldn't help but pause. After listening to what Draco said, an invisible thread suddenly connected everything in his mind.
This was no longer a boring game session. Teddy and the goblin weren't a dream, and what the witch in the potion shop said this morning could also be explained. Harry seemed to be in a state of stress, and a look of pain suddenly appeared in his green eyes. He stood up shakily, but this time he didn't fall down.
"I see." Harry said with difficulty.
"Understand what?" Draco urged, "Or would it be faster if I just handed you over to the Ministry of Magic?"
"It's me." Harry pointed at himself clumsily.
"Sit down! Don't move!" Draco snapped, pointing his wand at Harry.
"Where's the wand I bought for you?" Harry asked, glancing at the bare wooden wand.
"They were all detained by your godson and those werewolves." Draco blurted out, and then he felt something was wrong.
"……Eh?"
Draco took off one of Harry's gloves with some suspicion. The pale "I must not lie" mark on the back of his hand glowed in the gaslight of the dungeon.
"Let go. It's me." Harry sighed. The dim light in the dungeon moved in his eyes, and Draco's figure was in the center of his pupils. "Did Teddy really disguise himself as me and do these things? Are we involved in some bloody storm again?"
"But you were drugged and lying in Tonks' ancestral home last night." Draco's breathing became rapid, but the corners of his mouth could not help but rise. He moved closer to observe every inch of the skin of the person in front of him, as if he was observing rare animals through the glass window in the zoo.
"I woke up and found myself in my London apartment. Only Lancelot was by my side. And your things were moved away. I remember Teddy waking me up - and the words the witch in the potion shop said to me." Harry clasped Draco's shoulders tightly with his glove-less hand. "You're right, this is the world where bad things happen. Sometimes I feel that being awake is worse than being unconscious."
"I think it's unlikely that you, if you were Teddy, would find all the flaws at once. Last step, last step, just to be cautious." Draco didn't listen to what Harry said at all. He used Legilimency in a panic.
"Hey!" Harry shouted, his mind already turned out the memory of him catching the Golden Snitch first and leading Gryffindor to win the Quidditch game. "Aren't you afraid that one day you will find something you don't like? You never asked me if I agreed or not!"
Draco had already ripped open the mouth cage and pressed his lips against hers, the heavy metal making a crisp sound on the stone floor of the dungeon.
Draco pulled Harry into his arms viciously. "As long as it's you, why, I don't understand, but nothing else matters." Harry's weak body, which had been controlled by the potion for a few days, could not completely withstand the fierce kiss, and the originally huge dungeon seemed crowded.
Finally, Harry couldn't stand it anymore and simply stuck his fingers between Draco's teeth. "That's enough." Harry said breathlessly, "As far as I can remember, we haven't seen each other for only a few hours."
"Years, in fact." Draco pulled his fingers away from Harry, and Harry felt his breath against his neck again. "Really."
"You must wear that good thing next time." Harry pointed to the muzzle in the corner of the dungeon, avoiding the dull pain in his neck, "Let me go out and hear the bad news."
