Naruto hodgepodge

Chapter 90 Caught

The school bell rang melodiously, and the afterglow of the setting sun sprinkled on the path of the campus. Choji, Ino, Shikamaru and Sakura stood shoulder to shoulder, bidding farewell to the mysterious friend they had just met. Their laughter and farewell words intertwined, as if foreshadowing that this newly formed small group would embark on more unknown adventures.

The next day after school, when Sasuke walked out of the school gate with his schoolbag, a touch of color jumped out of his eyes. A circle of delicate pink flowers quietly wrapped around the bag, which was particularly eye-catching. This scene happened to be seen by Naruto who was walking the same way. He couldn't help laughing and teased: "Sasuke, someone actually confessed to him secretly. No wonder he became a mortal enemy with me. He must be upset with him." Before he finished speaking, Naruto suddenly pointed at Naruto's schoolbag and said jokingly: "Hey? Why do you have a bunch of flowers there?"

Naruto was stunned, looking down at his schoolbag. The bouquet seemed to appear out of nowhere, confusing him for a moment. He secretly rejoiced in his heart: "Sure enough, besides my brain, I am also very handsome? Which girl gave it to me?" But then, his thoughts drifted back to the strange boy wrapped in a hat that he met with Toneri at noon when he was sitting on the swing. He couldn't help but feel a little puzzled, but there were many people coming to register in Konoha now, and Naruto was not a security guard, so he didn't take it to heart. Naruto temporarily forgot his confusion in this little episode, and laughed and played with Naruto, and set off on the road home together.

At the same time, Choji, Ino, Shikamaru and Sakura also found the flower arrangements in Sasuke and Naruto's schoolbags on their way home from school. This unexpected situation made them smile at each other, and then they all thought of Yota. The four of them quickened their pace and returned to Yota's secret base.

"Yota, don't do this again." Choji spoke first, his tone a little serious, "Your existence is a secret to the village. If it is discovered, the consequences will be disastrous."

Shikamaru took over the conversation, frowning slightly: "No one found out, right? Safety first."

Yu Tai lowered his head and replied softly, "Well, I'm sure no one saw me just now."

"Really?" Shikamaru asked, a hint of worry in his eyes.

"However," Yota hesitated, "there are two kids who always go to play on the swings while everyone is having lunch. One of them is Naruto. They might have seen me."

"Swing?" Shikamaru and Choji looked at each other and said almost at the same time, "Naruto and Toneri?"

"Yeah, Naruto and that Byakugan kid, Toneri, always love to sit on the swings," Sakura added.

Ino nodded in agreement, "It must be them. Naruto-kun and that Byakugan guy were sitting there all day."

Shikamaru hesitated for a moment and said, "Have they discovered you? I hope not. Although Naruto is our good friend, the fewer people who know about this, the better."

Yota looked a little uneasy, so Sakura gently comforted him and whispered, "Don't worry, Yota. We are all here and won't let you be alone."

Ino also added, "Yes, Yota, you can't go to the village alone anymore. For your safety, and so that we can continue to be happy together like this."

When Yota heard this, his eyes turned slightly red, but he was immediately infected by Sakura's warm smile and nodded slightly.

Choji turned to Shikamaru and smiled, "But then again, Sasuke is quite interesting. He's usually so cool, like a little flower garden."

Several people laughed at the same time, and Sasuke carrying the small flower bed became a joke among them.

The next day, after the morning theory class, Sakura, Ino, Shikamaru and Choji gathered here again, their hearts full of thoughts for Yota. They looked around, but unfortunately they could not catch Yota's lively figure. The air seemed to still have the scent of his laughter yesterday, but the place was empty.

"Where did Yota go? Was he captured?" Choji said panickedly.

"According to what Yota said yesterday, Naruto and Toneri might have seen him" Shikamaru held his head and thought about it.

"Let's go ask Naruto, maybe he knows something." Sakura suggested.

"Then let's go find Naruto-kun!" Ino was the first to run forward.

The group walked through the familiar path and came to the swing in the village, which was where Naruto often went, but now it was empty. Just as they were about to leave, they saw Naruto sleeping on the grass not far away, which attracted everyone to approach curiously.

"Um, Naruko, wake up." Sakura called softly, trying not to sound abrupt.

Naruko rubbed her sleepy eyes, sat up with an unhappy look on her face, and said in a tone that sounded a bit irritable: "What's up, it's Sakura, what's the matter?"

"I'm sorry, Naruko, for waking you." Sakura apologized quickly and then got to the point, "Um, do you know where your brother Naruto is? We have something urgent to find him."

Mingzi yawned, sensed it casually, and then stretched out his finger impatiently, pointing in the direction of the back mountain: "Okay, don't disturb my sweet dream, he's over there."

"Thank you." Sakura and the others thanked them, and the four of them followed Naruko's instructions and set out on the road to the back mountain.

After passing through a lush forest, they finally found Naruto on an open meadow. Naruto was concentrating on painting on the ground, and every stroke seemed so serious. Lanmaru was lying obediently on his shoulder. Beside him, Toneri was sitting quietly, watching Naruto's painting.

"Naruto-kun, what are you busy with?" Ino was the first to break the silence, with a hint of curiosity and temptation in her voice.

Naruto raised his head, looked at the four people, smiled and asked, "Oh, it's you. What do you want to talk to me about? Or are you here to see Toneri?"

Hearing this, Toneri looked at everyone in confusion. Apart from being familiar with Hinata and Naruto, he didn't know much about the others.

Seeing this, Shikamaru decided to get straight to the point. He shook his head helplessly: "It's really troublesome to ask questions in a roundabout way? Naruto, you should know why we came to you, right?"

Naruto looked confused, "What? I don't know."

Shikamaru took a deep breath and tried to speak more clearly, "Naruto, you saw something, didn't you?"

Naruto was even more confused. He had read the introduction of Konoha. The Nara clan was very smart. How could an idiot appear? "What did you see? Shikamaru, what are you talking about?"

Shikamaru took another breath: "I haven't seen that before..."

Naruto was completely speechless. This was the guy with an IQ of 250. "Are you kidding me? What have you seen? If you can't speak, let someone else speak. Ino, you speak."

Ino heard Naruto calling her out, so she said, "Naruto, that's the kid you saw yesterday."

Naruto frowned when he heard this, and seemed to be trying to recall something, but finally shook his head: "Did I see more children yesterday?"

Seeing this, Sakura hastily added, "Naruto, that's the kid you and Toneri saw on the swing yesterday. His name is Yota."

Looking at Naruto's dazed look, Shikamaru couldn't help being speechless. He sighed: "Forget it, if you really don't know, then let's think of other ways."

Seeing that Naruto had not responded, the four looked at each other and realized that he might be immersed in his own thoughts, while Toneri seemed particularly calm and did not seem to intend to actively disturb him. So, the four of them tacitly retreated to a farther place and continued their journey to find Yota.

Naruto was somewhat familiar with the name Yota, and then asked Kurama, who said he didn't know. After all, Kurama was a parallel world that was synchronized with the main plot of the comics and was not the same as the parallel world of the TV plot. Then Naruto searched in the memory fragments and soon learned that Yota was Naruto's first friend in the other world. At that time, Sakura, Ino, Shikamaru, and Choji were not considered friends, and their memories were sealed in the end. Although Naruto's mental space can speed up viewing by dozens of times, the plot time is not a few seconds. Looking at Naruto in front of outsiders, he seemed sluggish.

As soon as the four of them left, Naruto woke up from his deep thoughts. He looked at Toneri who was staring at him with concern and said, "Thank you, Toneri. I need your help. Please use your Byakugan to help me find the child in the hat who walked past us yesterday. He seemed to be crying somewhere."

Hearing this, Sheren nodded slightly. This body was a puppet made by the white Great Samsara Eye, one of the yellow and white Samsara Eyes on the moon. The ability of the Byakugan was perfectly inherited and displayed. As the Byakugan slowly opened, after a careful investigation, the lonely crying figure among the treetops soon became visible and clearly appeared in Sheren's eyes.

In the drizzle, Toneri led Naruto to where Yota was. Raindrops were blowing lightly nearby, and Naruto followed Toneri quietly, feeling both excited and a little nervous. As the current changes became more and more serious, the memories in the memory fragments might become stories in the future. Friends and companions in the memory might become enemies, and enemies might become friends. The future was becoming more and more uncertain.

Arriving at the destination, Toneri softly reminded Naruto that the boy in front of him was a dead person, and Naruto nodded to show that he knew. Naruto looked at the quiet and sad scene, and Yota's figure seemed particularly lonely in the rain. Tears and rain intertwined, blurring his vision. Naruto handed Aimaru to Toneri and asked him to help take care of him for a while. After he said something to Aimaru, Aimaru woofed obediently as if he understood. After Toneri confirmed that Naruto was not doing something meaningless, he quietly left with Aimaru in his arms, leaving Naruto and Yota standing opposite each other in this small world.

"Why are you crying?" Naruto slowly approached, breaking the silence with his warm and firm voice. Yuta looked up, his eyes full of helplessness, but the moment he saw Naruto, he seemed to find a little comfort. "I'm scared." His voice was trembling.

Naruto crouched down, so he was eye-level with Yota, and said gently, "I know you, Yota."

Yota didn't know why Naruto knew him, a smile flashed across his face, and the rain stopped immediately. "Hey, I know you too, Naruto. You were sitting on the swing yesterday. Ino wanted to send flowers to you and Sasuke, and I helped her deliver them."

Naruto felt mixed emotions when he heard this. He recalled the world in the memory fragment, where Ino and Sakura were the first to suspect Naruto. However, their situations in this world were different, and their attitudes towards him were also different.

Yota circled around Naruto: "Hehe, Ino likes Naruto and Sasuke."

Naruto was stunned. It seemed that he had left a memory in Ino's heart a year ago. However, it was just like a child seeing something he liked. He himself was not very mature in liking things, but he still understood. Although Naruto was a child, his vision was affected and he preferred mature older sisters. He would not like beauties like those printed in magazines and books, such as Tsunade.

"But Ino likes Sasuke. I'm really upset about why that arrogant guy Sasuke is so popular with girls. I'm going to beat Sasuke up when the actual combat competition starts in the grade." Naruto thought viciously.

Naruto remembered that when he first met Yota, he wanted Naruto to teach him how to whistle. He didn't want to be lonely like Naruto who couldn't whistle. So he got it.

Suddenly, Yota's expression changed, his body stiffened, a gloomy look flashed in his eyes that did not belong to him, and the air around him seemed to become heavier. Naruto keenly caught this change, and his heart trembled, and he immediately realized that Yota's mind was quietly invaded by the power of the snake.

A tiny white snake quietly poked out from Yota's collar. Its cold gaze matched the dark atmosphere around it, making people shudder. Naruto stretched out his hand without hesitation, and with lightning speed, he peeled the strange white snake off Yota's body and dropped it heavily to the ground.
