Chapter 15 Who is the real justice?

In the dense forest, with sunlight dappled on the ground, Itachi and Shisui were immersed in a serious training.

Shisui, a ninja who has experienced many battles, reveals his deep inner strength and excellent skills in every subtle movement. He stands quietly under a big tree with his eyes closed, as if he is talking to the world around him.

Itachi stood aside, watching Shisui intently. He tried to draw deeper ninja philosophy from every move. He knew that this was not only a learning of skills, but also an awakening of the soul.

"Itachi." Shisui suddenly broke the silence, "The world of ninja is unpredictable. You need to learn to see through the appearance of things and understand their essence."

Itachi nodded deeply, he understood what Shisui meant. In this world full of unknowns and dangers, only true insight can guide him forward.

Then, Shisui moved through the forest like lightning, demonstrating several advanced ninja techniques. Itachi watched intently, trying to memorize these techniques.

They spent the whole afternoon in such training. Although Itachi was sweating profusely, he had no complaints because he knew that this was the only way for him to become a true ninja.

When night fell, the stars twinkled in the endless sky, and the two decided to light a bonfire in the forest and grill fish. The firelight jumped in the dark night, bringing them warmth and light, and also creating a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

Itachi looked at the blazing bonfire and asked curiously, "Brother Shisui, the textbook says that it is forbidden to use fire at night to avoid attracting the enemy's attention. But why did you choose to light a bonfire at night? There must be some special reason behind this, right?"

Shisui smiled and handed Itachi a golden grilled fish, saying: "Itachi, you are just too good, always so rigorous and serious. However, sometimes you also need to relax properly. The reason why I choose to light a bonfire at night is because it feels good to eat with someone who can make me relax. Such time is rare, and it can make us temporarily forget the disputes and troubles in the world."

Shisui began to enjoy the grilled fish. He ate with big mouthfuls, and a satisfied and happy smile appeared on his face. Itachi looked at Shisui and couldn't help but laugh happily. He realized that sometimes the simple and real little happiness in life, such as this quiet night, the warm bonfire, the delicious grilled fish, and the company of good friends, is the truest form of happiness. All this simplicity and ordinariness is more important than anything else, and it makes people feel happier and more satisfied.

Itachi and Shisui were enjoying the delicious grilled fish by the campfire, when suddenly, a metallic collision sound was heard nearby, breaking the tranquility of the night. The two looked at each other, immediately noticing something was wrong, and quickly rushed to the source of the sound.

They found that three Root Ninjas of Konoha were besieging an Anbu Ninja. Shisui immediately blocked the shuriken shot at the Anbu Ninjas and questioned the Root Ninjas: "Why are you killing each other? We are all ninjas of Konoha, and we should work together to maintain the peace of the village!"

The Root Ninja replied coldly: "He has information about a traitor, we must get it! Just hand over the scroll and we will leave immediately." Another Root Ninja drew his ninja sword and threatened: "There is only one way to betray the village, and we will execute the heavenly punishment for the order of Konoha!"

The injured Anbu ninja struggled to stand up and said firmly: "The information must be handed over to the Hokage, and he will investigate the matter thoroughly. The betrayer may also have his own reasons, and we cannot jump to conclusions."

The two sides were in a stalemate, and the atmosphere was tense. As a powerful jonin, Shisui's presence forced the three Root ninjas to rethink their plans. Itachi was also confused deep down: the difference between a traitor and the safety of the entire village was too great. He didn't understand why Shisui intervened in this matter, and Itachi was more inclined to the Root ninja's approach.

However, Shisui walked forward without any confusion and said firmly: "Ninjas are unsung heroes who support peace in the dark. But using weapons to force people to submit and maintaining order through violence is not peace at all. True peace should be based on understanding and trust."

Itachi was deeply shocked when he heard Shisui's words. He realized that his thoughts were too narrow and he didn't consider deeper things. Itachi also decided on his own motto, the first half of Shisui's sentence, that ninjas are unknown heroes who support peace in the dark. So, he decided to advance and retreat together with Shisui to maintain true peace.

At this moment, the Root Ninja attacked like the wind, his short sword flashing coldly in the moonlight, aiming straight at Itachi's throat. Itachi nimbly dodged sideways, while his kunai swept an arc towards his opponent's waist. The sound of metal colliding rang out in the night sky, and the Root Ninja dodged Itachi's attack with strange body movements, while swinging his sword to counterattack. The two figures crossed, and fire splashed everywhere. Itachi used his full speed and strength to attack fiercely like a storm; while the Root Ninja resisted with his body movements and precise swordsmanship, sometimes evading and sometimes delivering a fatal blow. The two fought hard.

During the battle, Shisui demonstrated his unique skill known as "Instant Shisui". Instead of just moving, he was able to create afterimages of his own avatars, which were completely different from ordinary shadow clones that would break at the slightest touch. These clones not only had the ability to attack like a real entity, but were also immune to attacks like a phantom, making it completely impossible for the two Root ninjas to deal with them.

At the same time, Itachi also fought with his Sharingan, and although he finally defeated his opponent with difficulty, he sprained his foot due to his lack of proficiency in the use of Sharingan.

After the battle, Shisui bid farewell to the Anbu ninja, and although the two Root ninjas were not killed, they also left with resentment. Shisui then carried the injured Itachi on his back and scolded him, "No matter how good you are, you can't do this." As he said this, he gently pulled Itachi's braid.

On the way back, Shisui carried Itachi on his back, and the two talked to each other. Itachi's state reminded Shisui of Sasuke, whom he once carried on his back, and Itachi felt that Shisui at this moment was like himself. This intimate feeling made Itachi feel warm in his heart.

Shisui said to Itachi affectionately: "I regard you as my own brother, and I hope you can also regard me as your own brother. Come to me if you have any problems in the future." After hearing this, Itachi couldn't help but wonder if their actions just now were correct. He asked: "Brother Shisui, did we do the right thing? We saved the traitor who was executed by the Root." Shisui pondered for a moment and replied: "I don't think my judgment is necessarily correct. We fight because we firmly believe that we are on the side of justice. But if the other party also holds this idea, who is the real justice? There is more than one perspective to look at things, but one thing is beyond doubt, that is, I will never betray you."

After hearing what Shisui said, Itachi felt extremely comforted and settled. He quietly lay on Shisui's back, listening to the other's steady heartbeat, and slowly closed his eyes. On Shisui's back, Itachi felt an unprecedented sense of security and warmth. With such a brother-like partner by his side, he felt extremely happy and satisfied. Gradually, Itachi fell asleep in this warmth.
