Chapter 61 Inheritance and Growth

After a series of fierce battles, Naruto finally had a rare period of peace. One day, when Naruto was training alone by the river outside the village, a familiar figure appeared in front of him.

"Naruto!"

Naruto looked over when he heard the voice, his eyes widened in surprise: "Teacher Jiraiya!"

Jiraiya smiled as he approached Naruto, his signature white hair fluttering gently in the breeze, with a friendly yet bold smile on his face, "Boy, it looks like you've grown a lot."

Naruto ran over excitedly, his steps so brisk that he seemed to be flying: "Teacher Jiraiya, why are you here?"

Jiraiya patted Naruto's shoulder, and the strength of his palm made Naruto feel a solid support: "I came to see you, and by the way, I decided to accept you as my apprentice and teach you more powerful ninjutsu."

Naruto almost jumped up with excitement, his eyes sparkling with excitement: "Really? That's great!"

From then on, Naruto began his arduous training with Jiraiya.

The early morning sun shone on a quiet meadow. Naruto arrived here early, waiting for Jiraiya's arrival.

"Naruto, let's practice summoning techniques today." Jiraiya strode over with a loud voice.

Naruto opened his eyes wide with curiosity and asked impatiently: "Teacher Jiraiya, what is the summoning technique?"

Jiraiya squatted down and explained patiently: "The summoning technique can summon the summoned beasts that have signed a contract with you to help you in battle. The summoned beasts have various abilities, some are powerful, some are fast and agile, and some can use special ninjutsu."

Naruto listened intently, imagining the scene of himself summoning a powerful summoning beast, and clenched his fists excitedly: "Then I have to learn it quickly!"

"Watch out, Naruto." Jiraiya stood up and quickly formed seals with his hands, "Hai-Xu-You-Shen-Wei." As he chanted the spell, a cloud of smoke rose up and a huge toad appeared in front of them.

"Wow!" Naruto exclaimed.

"Come on, Naruto, you try it." Jiraiya said.

Naruto followed Jiraiya's demonstration and carefully formed the seals: "Hai - Xu - You - Shen - Wei." However, on the first try, Naruto summoned nothing, only a gentle breeze blowing.

"Oh, what's going on?" Naruto was a little frustrated and frowned.

Jiraiya encouraged, "Don't get discouraged, Naruto, try a few more times. This requires you to concentrate and feel the connection with the summoned beast."

Naruto took a deep breath, formed a seal again, and chanted a spell. This time, a puff of smoke rose, but only a small frog appeared.

"This..." Naruto looked at the little frog in front of him. It was only the size of a palm and was blinking at him. Naruto was a little disappointed. "This is too small."

Jiraiya laughed out loud: "Not bad, not bad, you have made progress. Keep working hard. Every attempt is a step towards success."

Naruto nodded, pulled himself together, and continued practicing.

In the following days, Naruto came to the grass early every day and practiced the summoning technique diligently. The sun made his forehead sweat, but he didn't bother to wipe it off; he failed again and again, but he never got discouraged.

Once, Naruto was in a very low mood because of continuous failures. He sat on the grass, looking at the sky, his eyes full of loss.

"Am I too stupid, Teacher Jiraiya?" Naruto said with his head down, with a hint of frustration in his voice.

Jiraiya walked up to him, sat down, and said softly: "Naruto, you have to believe in yourself. You have unlimited potential. Think about it, you have faced so many powerful enemies and never backed down. What is this difficulty?"

After hearing Jiraiya's words, Naruto's fighting spirit was rekindled. He stood up and said firmly: "Teacher Jiraiya, I will continue to work hard!"

After countless attempts, Naruto finally succeeded in summoning a giant toad at dusk one day.

"Wow! I did it!" Naruto shouted excitedly, his voice echoing in the empty grassland.

The toad's huge body almost occupied the entire grass. It looked down at Naruto with a hint of admiration in its eyes.

Jiraiya nodded with satisfaction: "Very good, Naruto, but this is just the beginning. Next, you have to learn to better cooperate with the summoned beast and bring out its maximum power."

In addition to the summoning technique, Jiraiya also taught Naruto various other ninjutsu and fighting techniques.

In a quiet forest, Jiraiya was demonstrating a wind-style ninjutsu to Naruto.

"Naruto, watch out. Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!" Jiraiya formed seals with his hands, and a strong wind blew out from his mouth, shaking the row of trees in front of him.

Naruto's eyes widened as he carefully observed Jiraiya's movements and hand seals.

"It's your turn to try, Naruto," Jiraiya said.

Naruto took a deep breath and began to form hand seals, but his movements were still unfamiliar and his chakra control was unstable, so the wind-style ninjutsu only produced a weak gust of wind.

"Oh, why am I so weak?" Naruto was a little annoyed.

Jiraiya smiled and said, "Don't worry, Naruto. Controlling chakra requires constant practice and understanding. You have to imagine the path that chakra flows through your body, and then release it smoothly."

Naruto followed Jiraiya's instructions and tried again and again. His forehead was covered with sweat, but his eyes became more and more determined.

When practicing a difficult fire-style ninjutsu, Naruto was always unable to control the output of chakra, resulting in the failure of the ninjutsu.

"Teacher Jiraiya, am I not suitable for this ninjutsu?" Naruto looked at the extinguished flame in his hand, feeling a little discouraged.

Jiraiya said seriously: "Naruto, don't give up easily. This ninjutsu requires you to control the chakra more finely. You have to feel every change of the chakra with your heart."

Naruto gritted his teeth, concentrated again, formed seals, and chanted spells. This time, the flame burned a little longer, but it still did not achieve the desired effect.

"Come again!" Naruto encouraged himself.

Day after day, Naruto continued to practice this fire ninjutsu. Finally, on a sunny day, Naruto successfully performed a powerful fire ninjutsu, and the flames illuminated the entire forest.

"I did it, Sensei Jiraiya!" Naruto ran towards Jiraiya happily.

Jiraiya smiled and said, "Naruto, you did a great job. But remember, the practice of ninjutsu never ends, and you have to keep improving yourself."

In addition to training, Jiraiya would also tell Naruto some stories from the past, allowing Naruto to have a deeper understanding of the world of ninja.

At night, the master and the disciple sat by the campfire.

"Naruto, do you know? There were many great ninjas who gave everything to protect the village and for peace." Jiraiya's eyes were full of memories.

Naruto listened quietly, his eyes gleaming with admiration.

"Naruto, remember, a ninja must not only have great strength, but also firm belief and determination to protect." Jiraiya said.

Naruto nodded seriously: "I remember, Jiraiya-sensei."

As the days passed, Naruto's strength continued to improve.

During a training session, Naruto was accidentally injured.

"Naruto, take a rest first." Jiraiya said.

But Naruto shook his head: "No, Jiraiya-sensei, I can continue."

His wounds were still bleeding, but his eyes were full of unyielding will.

Jiraiya looked at Naruto's determined eyes and felt relieved.

As time went on, Naruto gradually mastered more advanced ninjutsu, and his fighting skills became more and more sophisticated.

One day, Jiraiya brought Naruto to a steep mountain.

"Naruto, today's training requires you to climb this mountain." Jiraiya said.

Naruto looked at the towering mountain and didn't flinch at all, "Okay, Jiraiya-sensei!"

Naruto began to climb. The mountain was steep and the rocks were sharp. His hands were cut and his feet slipped many times, but he persisted.

When he finally climbed to the top of the mountain, he looked at the scenery in the distance and his heart was filled with a sense of accomplishment.

"Naruto, you did a great job." Jiraiya appeared behind him.

"Teacher Jiraiya, I feel like I've become stronger again!" Naruto said excitedly.

Jiraiya smiled and said, "But this is not enough. There are more challenges waiting for you in the future."

By a tranquil lake, Jiraiya taught Naruto how to sense the power of nature.

"Naruto, close your eyes and feel everything around you with your heart, the flow of the wind, the ripples of the water, the breathing of the grass and trees." Jiraiya said.

Naruto closed his eyes and felt it quietly.

At first, he could not feel anything, but with Jiraiya's patient guidance, he was gradually able to capture those subtle changes in power.

"I feel it, Teacher Jiraiya!" Naruto said in surprise.

Jiraiya smiled and nodded, "Very good, Naruto. This will be of great help in improving your ninjutsu."

In a mock battle, Naruto faced various powerful illusions and traps created by Jiraiya.

He fell again and again, and stood up again and again.

"Naruto, don't be fooled by appearances, use your wisdom and strength to break through!" Jiraiya shouted.

Naruto eventually managed to break through all the obstacles and won the mock battle.

"Teacher Jiraiya, I did it!" Naruto was sweating all over, but his face was filled with joy of victory.

Jiraiya walked forward and patted Naruto on the shoulder: "Naruto, you are getting stronger and stronger."

On a rainy day, Naruto was still practicing hard. The rain soaked his clothes, but his movements did not slow down at all.

Jiraiya watched quietly from the side, his heart full of anticipation.

As his training progressed, Naruto was able to complete complex ninjutsu hand seals in a shorter time, and his reaction speed also improved significantly.

"Teacher Jiraiya, I feel I am ready to face any challenge!" Naruto said confidently.

Jiraiya smiled and said, "Naruto, the real challenge is still ahead, but I believe you can handle it."
