Naruto: Thousand Hands of Glory

Chapter 61 Who is the traitor!

The scorched earth was filled with the smoke of battle and the ashes of fire. Liuxia and Shengshu moved quickly through this desolate land, their eyes determined and their minds focused on approaching the location of Hatake Sakumo. Their footsteps echoed rapidly on the charred ground.

(Someone will ask why the author didn't use Flying Thunder God to fly over, because he couldn't figure out the situation. What if he flew over to catch the ninjutsu in the face? Human ninjas are still fragile.)

As Yanagi and Nawaki approached the forest engulfed in flames, the noise of battle penetrated the flames and smoke and reached their ears. They knew that it was a signal that Sakumo-senpai and the Sand Village ninja were fighting fiercely.

"It's the captain and his men!" A hint of urgency flashed in Rope Tree's eyes. He knew he had to act quickly. Without any hesitation, he took a deep breath and performed a powerful water ninjutsu: "Water Style. Waterfall Technique!"

A huge stream of water gushed out of the Rope Tree's mouth like a waterfall, surging and washing away the flames around it. The collision of water and fire produced a large amount of steam, extinguishing the surrounding smoke and sparks.

When the flames were finally suppressed by Rope Tree's water ninjutsu, the original appearance of the battlefield was exposed, and a scene of desolation and destruction appeared in front of Yanagi and Rope Tree. The originally dense forest was now a charred flat land, and the surrounding trees were either uprooted or burned to charcoal by the flames.

Broken ninja tools were scattered all over the ground, their fragments reflecting a faint light on the scorched earth, as if telling of their former glory and the cruelty of the battle. The gullies left by the ninjutsu ran through the entire battlefield.

Hinata Suzuran and Uchiha En were engaged in a fierce battle with the four-man group from the Sand Village. Although they relied on their tacit cooperation and their respective ninjutsu to temporarily determine the winner, the balance of the battle had begun to slowly tilt.

Suzuran's Byakugan searched for the enemy's weaknesses on the battlefield, while Uchiha En's fire-style ninjutsu drew blazing trails in the air.

On the other side, Shuichi and Yuki faced Hatake Sakumo, and their situation seemed particularly difficult.

Shuichi and Yuki were already staggering under the fierce attack of Hatake Sakumo, their bodies were covered with scars left by the battle, and every breath was accompanied by severe pain. Their clothes were cut and their skin was crisscrossed with blood, all of which were witnesses of the ruthless blade under Sakumo's white teeth.

Shuichi's puppets, once his pride, were now scattered fragments, each of which reflected the desperation of their battle.

Yuki's jutsu, which had been her support, was now unable to reach Sakumo's nimble form, her chakra slowly drying up as her jutsu became ineffective.

Facing Shuichi and Yuki who were already close to their limits, Hatake Sakumo did not relax at all, but attacked more fiercely. The white fang in his hand flashed with cold light, and every swing was full of resolute power. For a moment, there were swords and shadows everywhere, and Sakumo's figure shuttled through them, like the dance of death.

Click!

In the face of this series of powerful moves, Shuichi's last puppet was not spared and was chopped into pieces. The pieces flew in the air, just like the collapse of their last hope, and Shuichi and Yuki's hearts were filled with despair.

Shuichi and Yuki looked at each other, their eyes showing determination. Even at the last moment, they would not give up easily.

They drew their kunai, ready for a final resistance; this was their dignity and honor as ninjas.

Hatake Sakumo said nothing, he knew that showing mercy on the battlefield would be a disservice to himself. He swung the short knife in his hand to kill the opponent, each strike was accurate, cold and deadly.

Just when Hatake Sakumo's white fang was about to decide the fate of Shuichi and Yuki, a loud shout of "Spare their lives!" broke the tense atmosphere on the battlefield.

Shuo Mao's eyes flashed, and he saw a flash of blue light. It turned out that Yanagishita suddenly appeared in front of them.

Shuo Mao's heart tightened. He knew it was too late to stop the attack, but he still tried his best to change the trajectory of White Fang and try to divert the fatal blow away from Liu Xia. His arms suddenly burst out with amazing strength, his muscles tensed, and every adjustment was a challenge to his limit.

clang!

At this critical moment, Liuxia showed his extraordinary strength. The red blood sword in his hand appeared out of nowhere and met Shumao's white fangs with a graceful arc.

The crisp sound of metal colliding resounded across the battlefield, sparks flew, and the confrontation between the Red Blood Sword and the White Fang was not only a contest of strength, but also the greatest test of the quality of the weapons.

Before Hatake Sakumo could speak, Yanagishita had already turned around quickly. His movements were as fast as lightning, and he knocked out Shuichi and Yuki before they could react. His movements were fast and professional, without any unnecessary movements.

"Captain, wait a moment. I'll do some small preparations for these two people!"

Under Sakumo's shocked gaze, Yanagishita conducted a meticulous examination of the two men, removing all of their ninja tools and even examining their mouths carefully.

Sakumo thought to himself that if he didn't know Yanagishita's character, he would almost suspect that Yanagishita was a ninja from the Anbu. His professional techniques and meticulous mind were astonishing.

"Well, the dangerous goods inspection is complete, but as a ninja, who knows what strange suicide ninjutsu there might be, so we have to add some insurance."

Liuxia looked at the large pile of Senbon and shurikens he had searched out, his brows slightly frowned, and he was obviously thinking of a more reliable method.

"Five Elements Seal!"

Chakra flowed out from Yanagishita's fingers and slapped on the two men's stomachs, forming complex sealing patterns to ensure that they could not use any ninjutsu.

"I still feel unsafe. Never mind. Since I'm here, I might as well go up one level!"

"Four Symbols Seal!"

He then cast another seal, the power of the Four Symbols Seal further reinforcing the Five Elements Seal, ensuring that the two could not harm themselves or perform any form of ninjutsu even while unconscious.

Shuo Mao's eyes looked a little complicated after Liuxia completed the seal. He shook his head slightly, with a hint of teasing in his tone: "Uh, Liuxia-kun, you don't have to go to this extent."

Yanagishita's behavior might seem a bit excessive to him, but Sakumo had to admit that this was where Yanagishita's genius lay—he was able to master such a complex sealing technique at such a young age.

"Are you sealing the ninja or the tailed beast?" Sakumo added half-jokingly. His words revealed his surprise at Yanagishita's cautious character, as well as recognition of Yanagishita's abilities.

Hearing this, Yanagishita just smiled softly, "Senior Sakumo, you don't know, I just cut off all the limbs of that Jonin, and I thought I had completely subdued him. But he still had poison in his mouth, how abominable!"

"Why are you so persistent in catching him alive?"

Hatake Sakumo was puzzled by Yanagi's obsession. If killing people was not enough, why did he even cut off the limbs? He was so obsessed with capturing prisoners. Ninjas could obtain information as long as they got the corpses.

"Captain, they know our intelligence. This is not a simple encounter, but a carefully planned ambush! We have been betrayed!"

His words were like a hammer, hitting Sakumo's heart.

Those who knew about their actions were all Konoha's top brass. Logically speaking, these elites among the elites should never have any information leaked. If there really was a traitor, then the problem would be much more serious than they imagined.

"End the battle quickly!" There was an unquestionable command in Sakumo's voice, "Take these two people and go back to the village! We must find out who the spy is." His eyes flashed with firmness and determination, and he was obviously prepared to face possible internal crises.

Yanagishita and Sakumo each picked up a captive, their actions were swift and methodical, ready to join the battle between Uchiha En and Hyuga Suzuran. However, when they arrived, they found that the battle had already ended with the help of Rope Tree. The bodies of the ninjas were scattered on the ground, proving the brutality and speed of the battle.

"Well done, Ropetree."

Sakumo gave a brief compliment, his eyes sweeping across the battlefield, confirming that the enemy had been completely eliminated.

Shuo Mao stood in the ruins, his eyes firm and far-reaching: "Let's prepare to return to the village."

Sheng Shu gently adjusted the child on his back. The child lay quietly on his back with a hint of naive calmness on his face.

Rope Tree's voice was filled with a hint of request: "Captain, can you wait for me to send this last survivor back to the village? I can go alone."

Sakumo shook his head slightly, his eyes flashing with his determination for the team: "No, we can't act separately now. Let's go together, so that we can have a beginning and an end."

"It won't take long," Sakumo added.

In the process of bringing the last surviving child back to the village, the villagers learned that their children had died at the hands of the Sand Ninja, and the whole village fell into deep sorrow. The pain of losing a loved one is like an invisible wound engraved on everyone's heart.

The child was gently put down, his eyes were full of confusion and fear, but when he saw the sadness of the villagers, a glimmer of understanding flashed in his eyes. He knew that although he survived, many children like him were no longer there.

Yanagishita, Sakumo and others stood aside, their hearts also filled with grief, but they knew that as ninjas, there were more important things waiting for them to do.

They stepped forward and comforted the villagers in a firm but gentle voice: "We understand your pain, but we can't let this pain go to waste. We must be strong, for the children's sacrifice and for the future of the village."
