Traveling through the Naruto world to become the God King
Chapter 119 The Price of Power
As night fell, the moonlight was like silver, spreading over every inch of the valley. The bonfire jumped in the wind, making crackling sounds, reflecting the tense faces of the people. Qianye sat by the fire, silently wiping the long sword in his hand, which still had traces of the enemy's blood on it.
"Qianye, don't you really think your power is too terrifying?" Catherine broke the silence with a hint of trembling in her voice.
Qianye raised his head and looked at Catherine with cold eyes, "Without my strength, we would have been wiped out today."
"But your power..." Jax interrupted, his voice low and worried, "It's so unnatural, so... evil."
Qianye sneered, "Evil? You would rather die under the enemy's knife than accept my help?"
Catherine's eyes flashed with complex emotions. She walked closer to Qianye and whispered, "Qianye, we are all grateful that you saved us, but you know that your power comes from dark magic. This power will devour you sooner or later."
Qianye's hands trembled slightly, and then he regained his composure, "So what? As long as I can protect you, I don't care what I become."
"Do you really think so?" Jax stood up dissatisfiedly, "Do you know what the consequences of this power will be? You will lose yourself and become a monster!"
"Enough!" Qianye stood up suddenly, pointing the long sword in his hand at Jax, with a dangerous light flashing in his eyes, "If you think I'm scary, then leave me! I can deal with the enemy alone!"
Catherine quickly grabbed Qianye's arm, trying to calm his anger, "Qianye, calm down. We are not going to abandon you, we are just worried about you."
"Are you worried about me?" Qianye's voice was full of sarcasm. "You are worried about yourself! Afraid that I will lose control, afraid that I will become your enemy!"
"We are a team!" Jax exclaimed. "We should trust each other instead of doubting each other."
"Team?" Qianye sneered, "If you really trust me, you won't question my strength."
At this moment, Emily came over. She had been watching all this silently. She had a firm look on her face, "Qianye, we are not questioning you, but we are worried that you will be swallowed by the darkness. You are our friend, and we don't want to lose you."
Qianye's expression relaxed slightly. He looked at Emily with a hint of tenderness in his eyes. "Emily, I know you are doing this for my own good, but sometimes, strength is the only thing that can protect us."
"But this is not the only option." Emily said softly, "We can find other ways without relying on such dangerous power."
Qianye was silent. He knew that what Emily said made sense, but he also knew that facing a powerful enemy, they didn't have many choices.
"Qianye," Catherine spoke again, her voice soft but firm, "Let's face it together. No matter how dangerous the road ahead is, we will never give up on you."
Qianye's eyes gradually softened. He took a deep breath and nodded, "Okay, let's face it together."
Everyone finally breathed a sigh of relief, and the light of the bonfire seemed to become much warmer. Qianye sat back by the fire, with the long sword lying quietly on his legs.
"Tomorrow, we will continue to move forward." Jax looked into the distance, his voice firm, "No matter what lies ahead, we will not retreat."
"Yes," Katherine nodded, "We fight together and face all challenges together."
Emily looked at Qianye with a smile, "No matter what happens, we will be by your side."
A warm current surged in Qianye's heart, and he knew that he was not alone. He gripped the sword tightly, and his eyes flashed with determination.
"Thank you," Qianye whispered, "I will do my best to protect you."
The bonfire continued to burn, reflecting everyone's determined faces. In this quiet night, their hearts were more closely connected. No matter how dangerous the front was, they would no longer be afraid, because they knew that with each other's company, they could overcome everything.
The next morning, the sun rose from the east, casting a warm glow. Everyone packed up their bags and prepared to move on. Qianye walked at the front of the team, with a determined look in his eyes.
"Let's go," Qianye said, "We still have a long way to go."
"Chiba," Senju Tobirama said, his voice low and powerful, "Do you really think that your space-time ninjutsu has surpassed mine?"
Chiba turned around, his eyes flashing with disdain. "Lord Tobirama, times are changing, and ninjutsu is also improving. Your time-space ninjutsu is indeed admirable, but I no longer need any techniques to move huge objects."
Tobirama frowned, obviously dissatisfied with Chiba's confidence. "No need for a ritual? Then how did you do it?"
Qianye smiled slightly, stretched out his finger, and pointed to a mountain in the distance. "Watch it, Lord Tobirama."
Before he finished speaking, Qianye's fingers moved slightly, and the mountain began to slowly disappear, as if it was swallowed by an invisible force. A few seconds later, the mountain completely disappeared in the night sky, leaving only a huge hole.
There was a flash of shock in Tobirama's eyes, but it was quickly replaced by calmness. "This is indeed amazing, but do you know what consequences such power will bring?"
Chiba's smile gradually disappeared, and his eyes turned cold. "Consequences? Lord Tobirama, I pursue the limit of power, not the consequences. Only by constantly breaking through can we truly protect the village."
Tobirama shook his head, a hint of worry in his tone. "Power is not everything, Chiba. You should understand that a ninja's duty is not only to pursue power, but also to protect peace."
Qianye snorted coldly and turned away. "Peace? In this world full of war and betrayal, peace is just an illusory dream. Only with absolute power can we truly control everything."
Tobirama looked at Qianye's back, his heart filled with mixed emotions. He knew that Qianye's power had indeed surpassed his own, but he also understood that if this power was not controlled, it would bring endless disasters.
The next morning, some uneasy noises began to be heard in the village. The villagers were discussing the strange phenomenon of last night, and the conversation between Qianye and Tobirama gradually spread.
"Can Lord Chiba really move huge objects without the help of techniques?" asked a young ninja, his eyes full of awe.
"Yes, I saw it with my own eyes," another older ninja replied, "but is such power really good?"
While the villagers were talking about it, Chiba and Tobirama met again, this time at the village training ground. The two stood face to face, the atmosphere tense and solemn.
"Chiba," Tobirama said, a hint of pleading in his voice, "let go of your obsession. We can find a better solution together."
Chiba looked at Tobirama coldly, with a flash of anger in his eyes. "Master Tobirama, you don't understand at all. I have surpassed you, and you want me to stop? Are you afraid?"
Tobirama took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down. "I'm not afraid, I'm worried. Your power is too strong. If you lose control, it will destroy everything."
Qianye's expression became even gloomier. "Out of control? That's just your imagination. I have completely mastered this power. You don't need to worry about me."
At this moment, a figure suddenly appeared. It was Chiba's good friend, the village's genius ninja, Aoki. He ran over in a hurry, his face full of anxiety.
"Chiba, Lord Tobirama, you can't keep quarreling like this!" Aoki said loudly, "Everyone in the village is worried. Everyone needs your leadership and protection, not infighting."
Qianye glanced at Qingmu, and his expression softened a little. "Qingmu, do you also think I'm wrong?"
Aoki shook his head, his tone full of sincerity. "It's not a question of right or wrong, but your fighting will bring chaos to the village. We need unity, not division."
Tobirama nodded, agreeing with what Aoki said. "Aoki is right. Chiba, we should work together instead of opposing each other."
Chiba was silent for a moment, and finally nodded. "Okay, Master Tobirama, Aoki, I am willing to put aside the dispute for the time being. But I hope you can understand that my power is to protect the village, not to destroy it."
Tobirama smiled and patted Chiba's shoulder. "I understand, Chiba. Let's work together to make the village stronger and safer."
Aoki also smiled, and the three of them stood together, as if all the disputes had disappeared.
However, just as they were about to leave the training ground, a violent tremor suddenly struck, and the whole village seemed to be shaking. In the distant sky, a black crack was rapidly expanding, as if it was going to swallow everything.
"What is this?" Aoki exclaimed, his face turning pale instantly.
Chiba and Tobirama looked at each other, and a trace of fear flashed in their eyes. "This is a crack in time and space," Tobirama explained, "It may be caused by the strange phenomenon last night."
Qianye clenched his fists tightly, with determination flashing in his eyes. "No matter what, we must stop it."
Tobirama nodded, quickly formed a seal, and prepared to perform his own space-time ninjutsu. However, Chiba stopped him.
"Let me do it," Qianye said firmly, "It's my responsibility."
Tobirama hesitated for a moment, but finally nodded. "Okay, but I will support you from the side."
Qianye took a deep breath, concentrated all his energy, and quickly formed seals with his hands. As he moved, powerful chakra fluctuations began to fill the air. The black cracks gradually slowed down their expansion, but they continued to wriggle, as if resisting Qianye's power.
"Hold on, Chiba!" Aoki encouraged loudly from the side, his eyes full of worry.
Qianye gritted his teeth, sweat oozing from his forehead. He knew that this challenge was not only a test of his strength, but also a test of his soul.
At this moment, Tobirama suddenly stepped forward and put his hand on Chiba's shoulder. "We'll do it together," he whispered, with a firm light in his eyes.
Qianye nodded, feeling the power coming from Tobirama, the chakras of the two began to merge, forming a more powerful force. The black crack finally stopped expanding and began to slowly close.
"Success!" Aoki shouted excitedly, his eyes full of joy.
Chiba and Tobirama breathed a sigh of relief at the same time and sat down on the ground tiredly. Chiba looked at Tobirama with a hint of respect in his eyes.
"Thank you, Master Tobirama," Chiba whispered, "I understand now that strength is not just about the individual, but also about the team."
Uchiha Madara stood on a huge rock, staring at Chiba in front of him with a cold gaze. Chiba stood on a broken piece of land, and the forest behind him was torn to pieces by the aftermath of the battle. The eyes of the two met in the air, as if they could ignite sparks in the air.
"Qiye, you really didn't let me down." Uchiha Madara's voice was low and powerful, with a hint of admiration that was difficult to conceal, "In this era, you are the only one who can fight with me."
Qianye smiled slightly, his eyes full of determination and confidence. "Ban, the same goes for you. Your strength and will are indeed the strongest in this era."
The atmosphere between the two suddenly became tense, as if a world-shattering battle would break out in the next second. The surrounding ninjas held their breath and watched nervously at the upcoming peak showdown.
