Harry Potter and the Beginning: Azkaban

Chapter 93: Telling Draco about Immortality

Watching Megan's departing figure, Draco fell into deep thought.

Although Draco didn't know what Megan wanted him to do, he followed her anyway.

After all, he must only follow his father's requirements and listen to Megan.

Along the way, Megan just kept walking forward with her head down and had no intention of explaining to Draco at all, which made Draco, who was following behind him, feel uneasy.

Draco wondered what Megan wanted him to do, was he going to play poker?

Thinking of this, Draco secretly glanced at Megan's back. Although Megan still looked undeveloped, this did not affect her charm.

Draco was thinking about good things, and a lewd smile gradually appeared on his face.

After an unknown amount of time, the two walked through the corridor and came to the Room of Requirement on the eighth floor again.

When Draco saw the door suddenly appear on the wall, he was shocked.

However, Draco quickly thought of something and buried his seriousness deep in his heart.

After all, Draco was from a big family and was born into a pure-blood family. He was very clear about some of the secrets of Hogwarts.

I guess this is the Room of Requirement in Hogwarts!

Draco thought as he followed Megan into the Room of Requirement.

After entering the room, Megan suddenly turned around, looked at Draco seriously, and said to him:

"Do you understand what the meaning of life is?"

This sentence immediately calmed Draco, whose mind was still wandering.

Draco blinked. Who could answer what the meaning of life was?

But he had never thought about this question, and no one had ever asked him this question.

But after thinking about it, Draco was still not sure what the meaning of life was.

In the end, Draco shook his head helplessly and said with a blank look on his face:

"Sorry, I don't quite know how to answer this question."

A hint of amusement appeared in Megan's eyes, and he knew Draco couldn't answer it.

Such a profound philosophical question cannot be answered casually, and it has troubled many people in the past.

Megan asked this for the sake of mystery.

Looking at Draco who looked confused, Megan continued to ask:

"So, what do you want most in the future?"

Hearing Megan's question again, Draco blinked. He knew the answer to this question. Of course, he wanted you the most in the future!

But Draco was afraid of being beaten, so he didn't say this.

Draco didn't say anything, which led Megan to mistakenly believe that Draco didn't know how to answer the question.

Fortunately, Megan didn't think of asking Draco to answer this question, but continued to ask:

"Do you want powerful and invincible strength, supreme power, or endless money in the future?"

At this time, Draco was confused. He couldn't understand why Megan asked so many questions. Why did she ask such questions? Only children had to make choices. Of course, she would take both.

However, looking at Megan's serious expression, Draco didn't dare to say so and only chose one.

"I want supreme power."

After all, in Draco's opinion, having power is equivalent to having money, but having money does not necessarily mean having power.

As for strength, I think these two are dispensable.

Megan was not very surprised to hear Draco's answer. After all, in terms of personality, Draco was very suitable to be a leader.

After thinking for a moment, Megan continued to ask:

"Have you ever thought that even if you achieve your wish and gain the greatest power in the world, you will still grow old and die one day?"

Draco rolled his eyes and thought to himself, isn't this nonsense? Who in this world can guarantee that they will not age or die?

Thinking of this, Draco was also a little annoyed by the question, and said directly:

"Yes, we will all grow old and die, even someone as powerful as Professor Dumbledore will grow old and die.

But isn’t this normal?”

There was something odd in Draco's tone when he said this.

Because Draco knew clearly that the one in front of him was a pure-blood witch. According to legend, every pure-blood witch possessed an enviable long life.

Megan smiled nonchalantly, of course he also heard the sour tone in Draco's voice.

"Have you ever thought about becoming an immortal and having eternal life?"

Hearing this, Draco subconsciously raised his head, stared, and asked in disbelief:

"Whatever you say, I can have eternal life too."

Is this question still necessary to ask? Since the birth of mankind, we have been looking for solutions to this problem. Unfortunately, no one seems to have succeeded so far.

Even Merlin, the most powerful wizard in history, could not withstand the test of time and eventually died under the butcher knife of time.

What does Megan mean by this? Does she mean that she can also have endless life? This is simply nonsense!

Thinking of this, Draco shook his head and denied:

“No, that’s impossible. Megan, why did you ask me to come here today? Stop teasing me, okay?”

"Ugh!"

Megan sighed and didn't continue talking, and started to act.

Megan simply snapped her fingers and summoned Harry's parents from her own ghost space.

Megan then pointed at the two of them and introduced them to Draco:

Although you have never seen these two people, you must have heard of their names. They are Harry's parents, James Potter and Lily Potter.

Looking at the ghost that suddenly appeared, Draco swallowed hard and said:

"How is this possible? Didn't they die a long time ago?"

Seeing Draco's serious look, Megan smiled with satisfaction and said:

"Yes, they are dead, but no one says the dead can't be resurrected!

Master Malfoy, what do you think?

Draco's eyes almost popped out when he heard that Megan could resurrect these two people who had been dead for many years.

The dead can be resurrected, which directly breaks his long-held cognition. Who will be afraid of death from now on?

Draco didn't believe what Ming said at all, nor was he willing to elaborate on this fact.

Unless he saw it with his own eyes, he would never believe it.

Draco shook his head vigorously and stammered:

"No, no this is impossible, you must be lying to me, right?"

Seeing that Draco still didn't believe it, Megan said helplessly:

"Why would I lie to you? I lied to you about whether I had candy or not.

If you don't believe me, then just find a little wizard and I'll revive him for you right on the spot. It's not that difficult."

Hearing that Megan could actually resurrect a person directly, Draco had to reconsider whether the eternal life that Megan mentioned really existed.

But before that, he still wanted to witness whether Megan could really resurrect someone.
