Harry Potter and the Beginning: Azkaban

Chapter 40 Ravenclaw Common Room

After the singing, it was already very late.

Those excited little wizards, led by their respective prefects, walked towards the lounges of their respective branches.

Not long after, under the leadership of the class leader Penelope, Megan and other little wizards arrived at the characteristic building of Hogwarts - the moving staircase.

Penelope turned sideways, stretched out her hand and introduced the freshmen:

"Children, you have to be careful and pay attention to the steps under your feet. They can change positions at any time and sometimes even disappear out of thin air."

These little wizards were all surprised after hearing this. What kind of staircase is this? It is specially made to make things difficult for those with poor sense of direction!

Seeing the shocked expressions on the faces of these little wizards, Penelope was very satisfied and continued:

"Of course. I believe that our smart Ravenclaws will find the rules and will not lose their way."

After saying this, Penelope turned around and walked straight forward.

The young wizards were afraid of getting lost, so they did not dare to delay and followed Penelope's footsteps towards the stairs.

As the stairs kept changing, the little wizards walked and stopped, observing the changes along the way and remembering the changes in their minds.

Soon, everyone, led by Penelope, reached the top of the tower.

After standing firm, all the little wizards breathed a sigh of relief, fortunately nothing unexpected happened.

This is also thanks to Victoria's existence. If she hadn't been communicating with Megan, Megan would probably have deliberately pushed down a little wizard to see what the result would be.

After a moment, seeing that all the little wizards had arrived, Penelope walked towards an old, bare wooden board.

There is also an eagle-shaped bronze ring on this old wooden board. This is the gatekeeper boss for entering the Ravenlock Lounge.

Only after passing its test can you enter the lounge.

Penelope turned around and introduced the little wizard again:

“This is the entrance. If you want to pass through here and enter the lounge, you must answer the questions on the eagle-shaped bronze ring.

I believe this will not be a problem for the clever Ravenclaw.

If it's those stupid, unthinking Gryffindors, that's a problem."

It was obvious that Penelope had some prejudice against the little lion of Gryffindor.

At this moment, the eagle-shaped door knocker moved, opened its pointed beak, and asked:

"Which came first, the fire or the phoenix?"

This question instantly stunned many young wizards, even Megan was no exception.

Megan frowned and looked at the eagle-shaped bronze ring in front of her. What the hell is this question? Isn't this the same question as asking whether the chicken or the egg came first?

If one day, this door starts asking how many stars there are in the sky, how should we answer?

Glancing at the older wooden board, Megan wondered whether she should replace it with a new one.

Fortunately, Penelope knew that this question was difficult, so she answered it directly for the little wizards:

“It’s a cycle with no beginning.”

After Penelope gave her answer, the wooden door slowly opened, revealing the Ravenclaw common room.

Before entering the common room, Penelope turned around, blocked the young wizard's way, and said:

“Before entering, I have to warn you.

You don't have to worry about being turned away because you can't answer Eagle Ring's questions, as this is not uncommon.

Ravenclaws are good at learning, and this is a good opportunity to meet other Ravenclaw seniors and learn from them.

However, I would still like to remind you not to leave Ravenclaw Tower in a hurry when you are not smart enough.

I suggest you check your bag again and again before you go out, to make sure you don’t forget anything and get locked out.”

After Penelope finished speaking, the group of young wizards finally entered the Ravenclaw common room.

It was a large round room, with elegant arched windows in the walls, and blue and bronze silks hanging on either side of the windows.

Above is a semicircular dome dotted with many stars, and the ground is covered with a dark blue carpet also dotted with stars.

There were tables, chairs, bookshelves in the room, and a white marble bust of Rowena Ravenclaw in a niche opposite the door.

The door next to the statue leads to the dormitory above.

After all the young wizards entered the common room, Penelope began to introduce them.

“Okay, this is our common room.

Our Ravenclaw common room is located at the top of the tower. The scenery here is quite beautiful. Through the windows of the common room, we can have a panoramic view of the Hogwarts campus, including the lake, the forbidden forest, the Quidditch field and the greenhouse. "

After hearing this, the little wizards all started looking around.

Megan was very satisfied with the scenery here. The view was very good from the high vantage point and she could see the college very clearly.

After a while, Pelosi clapped her hands, attracted the attention of the little wizards, and said:

"Well, it's getting late, you should get some rest, as classes will start tomorrow morning.

Your luggage has been delivered to your dormitory. Go upstairs from here. The boys' dormitory is on the left and the girls' dormitory is on the right. Each dormitory has a public bathroom. "

After hearing this, Megan walked towards the girls' dormitory on the right without hesitation, ambiguity, or timidity.

I didn't express it, so you can't blame him.

After all, before entering Hogwarts Academy, he registered as a female, and even his appearance did not reveal any clues.

Ravenclaw's dormitory is a standard dormitory with four people in a room. This year, a total of ten girls were assigned to Ravenclaw, and the remaining eight occupied two dormitories. Megan and Victoria were assigned to a dormitory one year older than them.

There was only one person living in this dormitory last year. Her name was Zhang Qiu. She was a very rare Chinese American and one year older than Megan.

After arriving at the dormitory, Megan saw Zhang Qiu who was still studying, and went up to greet him.

"Hello, senior, I'm this year's freshman, Megan Helen."

Then, Megan pointed at Victoria and said:

"This girl is a freshman this year, just like me. Her name is Victoria Helen."

After hearing these two names, Zhang Qiu was a little surprised and asked:

"Hello, my name is Zhang Qiu, are you from the same family?"

Before Megan could answer, Victoria stepped forward and said uncertainly:

"Hello, Senior Zhang Qiu, Megan and I may be from the same family, but I'm not sure yet."

Zhang Qiu raised his eyebrows and asked doubtfully:

"Oh why?"

Victoria spread her hands and said helplessly:

"My family situation is a bit complicated. Many people were scattered during the early years of war."

"Oh, sorry, that's too bad!"

Zhang Qiu expressed his sympathy for this.

Megan smiled and said indifferently:

"Nothing, this happened a long time ago. I need to talk to Victoria to confirm certain things. You see..."

Zhang Qiu is a witch with a good personality. She is gentle to others and doesn't put on airs.

After learning about what happened to Megan and the others, Zhang Qiu said very sensibly:

"Well, I'll go to the common room for a while, you guys can communicate among yourselves!

But it’s getting late, you should go to bed early, as you still have classes tomorrow!"
