Harry Potter and the Rebirth

Chapter 189 Breaking the Shell

The sound of the collision became louder and louder. After Hagrid glanced at the three people, he shifted his gaze to the source of the sound.

Then he seemed to remember something, and hurried over, removing the covering, revealing a huge egg with mottled patterns and bright colors, and it was still shaking.

The three little ones immediately surrounded her. Hermione was thinking, confused. She had just entered the magical world and lacked a lot of common sense. What on earth was this?

She looked at Ron beside her.

Unfortunately, Ron is also a fake. His memory is vague and he is not sure whether this type of egg is a dragon egg. If the plot develops normally, there should be nothing wrong.

Hagrid placed the egg on the table and put a towel underneath it, his face full of anticipation and nervousness. Looking at the blank expressions on the three little ones' faces, he sighed heavily and then compromised and said, "Don't tell anyone else. I exchanged this with a masked man at the Three Broomsticks. He told me it was a dragon egg."

"Dragon eggs!" Hermione began to scream. "Hagrid, this is -"

Hagrid waved his hand nonchalantly, scratched his beard, and looked at the egg on the table expectantly. "It's okay. You won't tell anyone anyway."

This heavy trust suddenly made Hermione shut her mouth, but then she became excited again. This is a dragon. She had only seen it in novels before, but she didn't expect to see it in the real world now.

"Hagrid," Harry, who had been silent all this time, finally spoke, "Well, can I invite Draco Malfoy to come over? He likes dragons very much."

Then his cheeks immediately turned red, as if he felt that his request was too difficult for Hagrid, and then he began to make amends.

Hermione tugged at the corner of Harry's clothes, and Ron pursed his lips, obviously not very happy. That guy always looked down on others, and except Harry, he looked down on all the Gryffindors present.

"if you--"

"Of course!" Hagrid agreed before Harry could finish his words.

Obviously, although this result shocked Harry, it was in line with his wishes. After a moment's silence, he glanced around and began to use a large number of cleaning spells to help Hagrid clean up the house.

Hagrid's face was hidden in the shadow at this moment. No one could see the unpredictable expression on his face. Sometimes it was full of resistance, sometimes fierce, sometimes clear, and sometimes full of calculation.

Harry folded the quilt on Hagrid's bed neatly, and Ron and Hermione also started to act. After all, they were also intruders, so it was always good to do something.

When Hermione was cleaning the fireplace, she added more firewood into it and found some green powder underneath. It was slowly decreasing and disappearing. She rubbed her eyes again and found that the green powder was completely gone, as if everything just now was an illusion.

Harry found an exquisite envelope on the bed, its exquisiteness at odds with the rough style of the scene.

Hagrid seemed to have just realized that the three of them had been helping him pick up the things for most of the day.

"Come here quickly, it looks like he's about to break out of his shell."

The three people hurried over when they heard it. Harry turned his head to look at the bed again, feeling a little strange, but did not ask any more questions, as this was a matter involving privacy after all.

He turned his head to look out the window again. The sky was gradually darkening. Not far away, the brilliant sunset covered the entire sky, gently adding a bit of life to the picture. Not far away, birds flew by, and a beam of fire flew straight towards the principal's office.

Why hasn't Draco come yet?

The egg on the table began to tremble violently, and then, as if in an instant, a crack appeared, and then slowly more and more cracks appeared, and the shape of the entire egg became irregular. First, a small piece of skin was exposed, and then two round corners could be seen, like two raised dots, and gradually the entire head emerged.

At this moment, there was a sudden violent knock on Hagrid's door.

Ron was the closest, and before Draco could react, he had already opened the door subconsciously. Draco's face was flushed, his platinum hair was flying irregularly, and his clothes were disheveled from running. Ron looked down and saw that his shoes were covered with grass clippings and dirt.

A gust of wind blew past him and Draco rushed into the house. With years of good upbringing and adult restraint, Draco greeted Hagrid, who was flattered.

"Come on, come here." Harry pulled Draco to his side and sandwiched him between him and Hagrid.

Draco frowned as he watched the animal gradually reveal its entire body. He placed his hands on the table and moved forward cautiously. While the little guy was not paying attention, he cut a piece of eggshell and placed it in front of his eyes to study it carefully.

Hagrid's face was also full of confusion. This didn't look like a dragon. Instead, it looked like some strange creature that he had never seen before in all his years of experience.

The creature on the table has revealed its full appearance. It is long and narrow, like a wide loach, covered with fine black scales. It has two long whiskers hanging down from its mouth. Its eyes are particularly large, dotted on both sides of its head, distinctly black and white. Its eyeballs are constantly changing, sometimes round, sometimes turning into vertical slits. The two bulges on the top are white.

It opened its mouth, took the broken eggshell into its arms, and began to eat it bite by bite, completely ignoring the gazes of the people around it, as if it didn't see them, and had its own independent little space.

Draco looked at it for a long time but couldn't figure out what was going on, so he put the eggshell down helplessly. The little guy glanced at it, didn't care at all, and continued to chew the eggshell.

Hermione had already stepped aside, far away. She didn't like this long, slippery creature very much. It reminded her of some bad creatures that also looked like this.

Because of the angle, the little guy looked into Harry's eyes the first time he came out of the eggshell and opened his eyes to see the world.

Harry froze in place for a moment, then unconsciously stretched out his hand, wanting to touch the little guy's head.

"Harry," several people present shouted at him at the same time, trying to stop his dangerous behavior. It was not a wise move to touch an unknown creature easily.

Harry finally came to his senses. This little guy reminded him of his three pets and the basilisk that appeared out of nowhere and became friends with the phoenix.

Qinggang and Ziluan, no, they were pets from another time and space who had not met each other yet. When he took them back from Dumbledore, he released them back into the Forbidden Forest. There were already many magical creatures in that place anyway, and they wouldn't make a difference if they had two more. They would meet again.

Harry thought of this and touched his waist. Apparently the memory of being bitten was still vivid. The main purpose was to create a shadow, and now he didn't really want to see them.

They would go back to where they came from, and they would meet again, Harry thought.
