American comic Gotham, the sheriff of Arkham

Chapter 172 Superman, Preparation for Departure

Robinson Park has now become a happy city.

There are three circuses stationed here, and the one in the middle is the famous Zatara Circus.

Lions and tigers roam around in iron cages, and sturdy strongmen stand shirtless on the roadside, performing a frying pan-tearing show.

Small vendors selling hot dogs, popcorn, and ice cream stood on both sides of the stalls, preparing food for the customers.

Although some places are still covered with snow, there is a bustling atmosphere here. Many parents bring their children here to play and watch a circus performance to relax.

"Look, Cornfield Boy, it's an elephant!"

Louise, who received an interview assignment from the Daily Planet, pointed happily at the elephant in the circus's fence tent, stretching out its long trunk to steal bananas from a roadside fruit stand.

Clark, the sunny and warm-hearted man standing nearby, took prompt action, picked up the camera hanging around his neck, and took two pictures of the elephant.

"Okay, a real thief."

Louise watched the elephant take away a bunch of bananas, then quietly closed the fence of the tent, lay on the ground nonchalantly, secretly eating bananas, and couldn't help laughing.

Clark, wearing glasses, secretly looked at Louise's smile, and a happy look appeared on his face as well.

When we were on the boat this morning, Louise looked as bad as if a relative had come over and she was dissatisfied with everything.

There is no other reason. Today is the day when Lex Luthor, the president of LexCorp, is released from prison after his trial.

Lois was planning to put the microphone in the robber's face and ask him what he was thinking about robbing a bank and making comments about the threat of Superman in prison.

But just as Louise was getting ready, the boss of the newspaper gave her an interview assignment and threw her on a ferry to Gotham, asking her to interview the circus of a famous escape magician.

It is called a welfare vacation prepared for Louise.

But everyone could see that this was a choice made by the Daily Planet because it did not want to offend the Lex Corporation.

After all, everyone still has to eat. If they offend LexCorp, the Daily Planet might have to change owners and fire them.

It’s not that Louise couldn’t see it, so she came over with her nose pinched, simply because she wanted to out of sight, out of mind.

However, Lois quietly turned her head and looked at Clark who was looking at her, and snorted with a smile, "What are you looking at?"

"Uh...elephant." Clark turned his head with a blush.

Although he has a body stronger than steel and invincible strength, at heart he is still a kind and simple boy who grew up on a farm.

Well... a little too simple. Maybe it's because nothing can hurt him, so he has a kind heart.

Otherwise, you see Batman is always covered with wounds, and in a fight he hits the most vital parts. Being mean and insidious, not firing guns is his greatest martial virtue.

"Our interview plan...Have you bought the ticket?"

Louise just remembered that the Zatara Circus doesn't start performing until 6pm. Maybe all the tickets are sold out?

Just by looking at the crowd queuing over there, one can feel that Gotham citizens welcome the Zatara Circus mainly because it is a rare celebration, and they also have the support of the Wayne family behind them.

The Zatara Circus is well-known in Gotham and even in the surrounding cities.

"Sure, two tickets. It's 6pm, there's still some time before the show starts, so we can go shoot some footage."

Clark took out two circus tickets from the travel bag on his back. After deciding to come to Gotham, he used the excuse of going to the bathroom on the ferry and flew here directly.

I queued up to buy a ticket, and then flew back at super speed. The whole journey took less than three minutes, and no one even noticed.

"You've thought of everything, but we can go meet a friend. You forgot that your fan, Officer Naegi, is also in Gotham."

Lois reminded Clark with a smile.

Kondinstein, dressed like a detective in a brown coat, was passing by with a cigarette in his mouth. When he heard Naegi's name, he stopped and looked at Louise.

This glance was not a big deal. When Kondinstein's eyes fell on Clark, his face changed instantly. He quickly quickened his pace and fled away from here.

"What kind of world is this? What kind of monster is this..."

Kondinstein muttered to himself, and the stinging sensation emanating from the tattoo-like Hell Mark on his wrist made him frown frequently.

He never put down the cigarette in his mouth, and there was a whole pack of cigarettes stuffed in the pockets on both sides of his coat. He had smoked three packs today.

The good news is that his lung cancer has healed and he can continue to smoke as much as he wants.

The bad news is that his life is tied to Gotham, and when Gotham becomes part of Hell, he will die...

The point is, there are not just him, but two others... maybe even more, who have turned Gotham into hell.

Kondinstein recalled the crazy and uncontrollable clown and his final actions, and was not worried about what he would do.

However, the Lord of Hell made it very clear that his subordinates were rushing to Gotham, and that Faust, that guy was obviously working for another Lord of Hell.

And...Kondinstein turned his head and looked at the people behind him. Who was that guy he just saw?

That soul was as powerful as a god. Because of the mark of hell on his wrist, Kantinstein could see people's souls.

But he didn't want this thing at all. This brand was like a dog chain. Although he could use the magic of hell, his life was also in the hands of the devil of hell.

Compared with Kondinstein's previous experience, this time he was at a disadvantage, but it was not difficult to remove this brand. At most, he could find a good friend to help him replace him.

The key point is... hell is about to be connected to the world. This is extremely explosive news, no less than the second war in heaven.

Even Kondinstein wanted to know whether those angels sitting leisurely in the church would be scared to pee their pants after knowing this.

Well, he was certainly evil at heart, as when he once considered breaking the wings of his immediate superior, the Archangel Gabriel.

"Maybe I should go to Los Angeles."

Kondinstein turned around and looked at the small flags on the top of the circus tent behind him. He really should prepare more.

A magical bar in Los Angeles is the territory of Midnight Daddy, and he just happened to be going home to prepare something.

Using Midnight Daddy's portal, he would be able to sit in a restaurant on the streets of New York and have a proper breakfast tomorrow morning.

Bronze Tiger, who left Gotham, did not fly far away.

Instead, they took a speedboat that had been prepared in advance and sailed along the coastline towards Star City.

Tonghu skillfully controlled the speed and direction of the speedboat. The cabin was filled with gasoline barrels, enough to support him on a long journey.
