Be in low spirits

Chapter 27 Doctor Friend

When Kong Zhixi arrived, it was a hotel. She called Tian Tian again. After answering the call, she leaned against the car door and waited for nearly an hour before Tian Tian came down from the hotel. After seeing her, she threw her sunglasses to her.

Tian Tian was really rude. She told Kong Zhixi the address and asked her to drive.

After they drove, the driver of the car parked behind them also drove away. When they arrived, Tian Tian asked the waiter to order a bunch of dishes. Kong Zhixi wanted to refuse, but the waiter took the menu and left.

She took off her hat, spat the chewing gum into the tissue, and said lazily, "What's wrong?"

"Do you know Zhao Xuanli?" Kong Zhixi asked in a serious tone, hoping that she could correct her attitude.

"I know her, what's wrong? Come to think of it, she hasn't replied to my message for a long time." She still had an indifferent attitude.

"She's dead." Kong Zhixi said with a serious face.

"What? But didn't their family go to some party a few days ago? Why didn't I hear about it?" She must have come to her senses this time and asked a series of questions.

"When was the last time she contacted you?" Kong Zhixi did not answer her question and continued her inquiry.

"It was...it was only two weeks ago. What happened to her?" She opened her big eyes and looked innocent.

"Do you know who she usually contacts?" She wanted to find clues about the murderer from these traces.

"She... changes men every few days. I know some of those men, but... I don't know some of them. Her private life is actually quite messy." She thought for a while and said.

"Do you know Pan Yu?" Kong Zhixi thought of the person who died today.

"Lily introduced us to Pan Yu. I'm a salesperson in a bar, and they often introduce business to me. Did something happen to both of them?" Tian Tian is quite smart.

"Has he contacted you recently?" Kong Zhixi did not answer her question.

"Uh... He called me a few days ago and asked me to reserve a booth for him." Tian Tian's attitude began to become nervous. The waiters brought the dishes one after another, and the two of them tacitly kept silent about the case while the waiters were serving the dishes.

The topic should have continued, but Kong Zhixi found that the man sitting diagonally behind them seemed to be observing them all the time. His gaze made Kong Zhixi very uncomfortable, and she began to restrain her questioning.

"Do they have any other common friends besides you?" She knew that the man who had been watching them might be the murderer, and she couldn't alert him.

"Uh... let me think about it, their relationship is just average. Lily doesn't think highly of Pan Yu, and Pan Yu doesn't like Lily either. But the two of them often introduce men to each other. How can I describe their relationship? It's very strange."

"You mean Pan Yu is a?"

"Yes." Tian Tian confirmed her guess.

"Besides you, are there any other places or people that they often go to together? Or is there any common connection? Like a secret base or something like that?"

"Apart from the bar, I haven't heard of other places. In fact, people like them have little access to the circle of rich people," Tian Tian confessed.

"When Pan Yu contacted you to reserve a booth, did he tell you who he was going to be with?" Kong Zhixi was a little discouraged. She was afraid that she would not be able to get anything out of Tian Tian.

"Uh... he said he just met a gangster boss, but he didn't tell me his name."

Tian Tian looked really hungry and ate a lot, but Kong Zhixi didn't eat a single bite, fearing that she would be asked to pay.

"However, they all seem to go to the same hospital, which is a private clinic." She suddenly remembered this and said it.

"Is the doctor's surname Liu?" Kong Zhixi felt that if it was, that would explain the doctor's reaction.

"It seems so. I don't know the details, and they won't tell me such private things." Tian Tian felt that this was all she could say.

After she finished her meal and paid the bill, she made a phone call. Within a few minutes, a luxury car appeared in front of them and took Tian Tian away.

Kong Zhixi drove the car to the back of the restaurant, avoiding the sight of the restaurant door, and then saw the man driving away. She wrote down the license plate number and followed him.

The man drove to the clinic and took off his hat. It was indeed Dr. Liu. Kong Zhixi quickly got out of the car and chased after him. She patted his shoulder and asked sharply, "Dr. Liu, long time no see."

Doctor Liu shuddered, turned around and saw that she was the only one there. He was obviously relieved and smiled awkwardly: "Who are you?"

"Kong Zhixi, Li Li and I came here together to deal with Shu Botian's matter." She stared at him sharply, as if she had determined that he was the murderer.

Of course he knew, but because of his behavior just now he had to pretend that he didn't know.

"Ms. Kong, why don't we go in and talk?" He was a little flustered, afraid that someone would see them arguing here.

"Okay, let's have a good chat." Kong Zhixi pressed his shoulders hard and emphasized the tone when she said "let's have a good chat".

When they arrived at the clinic, there was no one there, so Kong Zhixi asked, "Aren't you going to work today?"

"I have something to do, so I gave them all the day off." He walked in front without turning on the lights. The curtains were drawn in the corridor, making the entire clinic a little dim.

"Holiday?" Kong Zhixi began to worry. She glanced at her cell phone and wanted to call Li Li.

"Ms. Kong, please come in." Doctor Liu pushed open the door of his office, stood sideways at the door and gestured for her to come in.

Kong Zhixi stopped what she was doing, looked at the office solemnly, then looked at Dr. Liu who was standing at the door with his head lowered, and after hesitating for a long time, she finally stepped in.

She sat on the sofa, trying to calm herself down. She stared at Dr. Liu who was busy looking for tea and said, "Tell me, why did you kill them?"

The hand that opened the cabinet and took the cup paused in the air, then turned around and said, "I didn't kill anyone, they are all my friends!" He didn't know if it was because of nervousness or because of the enclosed environment, but beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.

"No, why are you panicking?" Kong Zhixi didn't know whether what he said was true or not. She looked at the phone in her hand from time to time, hoping to call Li Li when she had the chance.

"What did Tian Tian tell you?" He stopped pouring tea and sat opposite her, asking with great concern.

"Do you know Tian Tian?" Kong Zhixi looked at his approaching body and subconsciously leaned back.

He suddenly lost his temper, his body drooped, and he said hunched over: "We knew each other, but they are all dead. What if... the murderer finds me one day?"

"You know all of them? Including Pan Yu?" Kong Zhixi suddenly let down his guard, it turned out that he might also be one of the murderer's targets.

"What? Something happened to Pan Yu too? I knew it!" He slapped his thigh, very annoyed.

"So you know who killed them?" Kong Zhixi was still a little confused.

"We all know a gangster who is popular with both men and women. Most of them like him and think he has social status, so they take a group of people with them when they go out." He was still very scared when he talked about this and looked around.

"Social status? With your family background, do you need to curry favor with others to improve your social status?" Kong Zhixi didn't understand.

"Hey, you don't understand. Although our family is rich, look at who is valued by our family? Except for Pan Yu's mother who spoils him, no one cares." When he said this, his face was full of sorrow and he shook his head.

"What about you?" Kong Zhixi still didn't understand.

"Me? I'm the same as them. Do you think those gimmicks in the corridor are real? They were just bought by my family." He pointed at the things in the corridor.

"So you suspect that this gangster boss killed them?" Kong Zhixi still didn't hear him confirm the murderer.

"I was just suspicious, so I wanted to follow you to see if you had anyone to suspect." He felt a little relieved.

"Gangsters wouldn't plan their murders so carefully." Kong Zhixi felt that this was not very logical.

Suddenly, more people were involved in this matter, and she was confused. She thought that maybe she could talk to Li Li and draw some new conclusions. She stood up and wanted to say goodbye, but when she walked to the door, someone blocked her mouth with anesthetic and she fainted.
