The Buddha does not tell lies.

Her five fingers gently stroked various parts of Xishengyi's body. The touch of her fingertips was so soft that it seemed almost imperceptible, but Xishengyi felt every moment that she could not hold on for another second.

It's not pain, but another kind of panic that drives me crazy.

It's like a person with acrophobia standing on a skyscraper, or a patient with thalassemia being thrown into the abyss and facing the huge mysterious creatures in the deep sea. For Xishengyi, it's like being locked in a small room and feeling suffocated.

But the feeling of suffocation and dizziness now is more than a hundred times that.

She felt something in her body being pulled out bit by bit, leaving every pore untouched. Zufo's fingers were like daggers tempered with poison, gently and unquestioningly turning over every inch of the girl's flesh, and then torturing her.

Within a few minutes, Xishengyi began to convulse uncontrollably, and sobbed like a small animal.

But those five fingers did not restrain themselves at all, instead they added some strength.

Xisheng Yizhi could only comfort himself that his ancestors wanted to end the battle quickly and that a short pain is worse than a long one.

But it's clearly not a short-term pain.

It was unknown how long it had been, but when she felt she was about to die, the Buddha finally showed mercy and withdrew his hand.

The girl with her clothes disheveled was still shaking unconsciously, her eyes were unfocused, and faint cries and moans came out of her mouth.

"Woo..."

The ancestor Buddha held the person in his arms, and lightly tapped the sweaty forehead of the person in his arms with his fingers. The four senses returned, and the girl suddenly trembled violently, like a dying swan, raising her neck, and the next second she curled up her body fragilely, wishing she could stuff herself into the ancestor Buddha's arms.

The clothes of the ancestor Buddha that were emitting holy light were wrinkled by her.

But the Buddha didn't seem to mind at all, and a smile of joy and compassion appeared on the corner of his mouth:

"Don't cry, don't cry, it's over."

His voice never had any direction to it. Xishengyi just thought that he was still in that huge palm. He felt that his position was rising, and he also thought that the palm was taking him somewhere.

But she had no time to think.

It was not until Chu Lin carried her to the bedroom and placed her on a lotus in the lotus pond that Xi Shengyi's vision became clear again.

She propped herself up in panic, the lotus swayed left and right on the water, and a few pigeons fluttered past the girl's eyes until they disappeared into the invisible darkness.

Above the ocean-like lotus pond, candlelight flickered on countless lotus flowers. Xishengyi used all his strength to steady his body with his weak limbs.

There were still tears in her eyes. After the lotus platform became a little more stable, she breathed a sigh of relief and looked around.

Not far away, the Buddha was sitting cross-legged on the largest lotus platform in the vast lotus pond, with his eyes closed.

His lotus platform was right at the foot of the big lotus platform. Xishengyi raised his head slightly and could barely see the appearance of the ancestor Buddha completely.

He was wearing a bright yellow monk's robe with patterns woven with lustrous white silk threads on it. His face was fair and handsome, but as everything goes to the extreme, it turned into a dazzling color.

The lotus pond under my feet suddenly lost its luster.

"woke up."

No matter how many times she heard it, Xishengyi could not get used to this voice. She raised her eyes with a startle, and it was clear that the ancestor Buddha did not speak a word.

Her heart was beating fast, her voice was a little weak, her limbs were as soft as cotton, and she almost couldn't hold on:

"Ah."

Zufo remained motionless: "Go to sleep."

“....Ah, okay.” Xishengyi said this with an unknown mood, but she didn’t dare to say no.

The lotus platform was about two meters in diameter, and it would sway from side to side when Xishengyi moved. She had no doubt that if she turned over in the middle of the night, she would fall into the bottomless pool.

"That..." Xishengyi mustered up the courage to speak, looking pitifully at the Buddha on the platform.

The Buddha opened his eyes and looked down at her.

"Will I fall into the water?... I mean, my sleeping posture is not good, and I'm afraid of waking you up in the middle of the night," Xishengyi said as he swayed left and right, indicating that the bed was too unstable.

"will not."

It was hard to tell whether the voice was gentle or cold. Zufo just glanced at her and closed his eyes.

Xishengyi: "......"

She was a little speechless. The anger of having her bones removed rose up belatedly, suppressing her timidity a little.

"What do you want to do by bringing me here?...Will you kill me in the future?" Xishengyi asked.

She didn't have time to adjust her expression, as Zufo opened his eyes unexpectedly and met Xishengyi's dissatisfied eyes.

“Killing without teaching is cruelty.”

Xishengyi couldn't see the Buddha's expression clearly, but judging from his tone, he should not be angry.

Xi Shengyi held the hem of her skirt with one hand, mustered up the courage to ask again: "Why didn't you save those evil bones before?"

The hall fell into silence.

Drops of water fell and landed right on Xishengyi's forehead. Because of the height, the soft drops of water became extremely lethal. Xishengyi covered his forehead.

"what..."

Her subconscious reaction shed all the pretended timidity and cowering, and her wrinkled face was like that of a pet that had been teased. Because it had been spoiled, its first reaction was to retaliate a thousandfold.

There was some secret interest in Zufo's eyes.

Everything in the world is as transparent as water in front of him. The filth and the good can almost be quantified by him, and then he can easily control it.

But the evil bones in the form of a girl in front of him were different.

——Different from everything, and also different from the evil bones of the past.

He couldn't see her kindness or malice.

Just like when he first saw this evil bone standing in the Heavenly Palace, for some reason, the expression on Xishengyi's face was not fear or anger, but curiosity and some kind of dissatisfaction.

Who is she upset with?

Zufo hasn't been interested in anything for a long time.

Xishengyi raised his head to take a look at the palace ceiling that was so high that it was hidden in the darkness, and he had strong doubts about whether he could survive safely tonight.

The ancestor Buddha spoke in a calm voice. Then he said: "I only save those who are destined to be saved."

Xishengyi: “…Ah?”

Zufo closed his eyes after he finished speaking and changed the subject:

"Tomorrow you will go to listen to the sutra with the other disciples. Sleep here tonight and your body will recover."

Xishengyi was silent, then said "oh".

Zufo did not respond.

The lotus lanterns suddenly dimmed collectively, and the surroundings fell into complete darkness. The figure of the Ancestral Buddha was submerged in the darkness. Xi Shengyi did not dare to ask any more questions, so he carefully adjusted his posture and lay down.

She originally thought that she would have a hard time falling asleep, but she didn’t know whether it was because the lotus was swaying slightly, or because she had just gone through a catastrophe and was exhausted, but Xishengyi fell asleep quickly.

But falling asleep is one thing, sleeping soundly is another.

The dream was bizarre and strange, and because his brain had been in a state of tension for a long time, Xishengyi slept very uneasily.

In the middle of the night, she suddenly woke up from her dream. She gasped for a moment and suddenly felt a dense itch all over her body.

The itching became more and more intense. Xishengyi's head was still dizzy. She had no time to think and subconsciously whispered:

"...Ancestor Buddha."
