Hogwarts: The Wizarding World's First Capitalist

Chapter 463: Professor Snape's New Office and the Strange Soul Potion

Hogwarts basement, interior of Professor Snape's new office.

Carl sat in the chair and looked at everything around him. For the first time, he felt that this gloomy and dim little room in front of him was so pleasing to the eye.

The scene next to the Black Lake was so embarrassing, so when Professor Snape found him.

Without a moment's hesitation, he followed the other party directly here. This was a newly set up office of Professor Snape.

Used to organize information and study some inconvenient magic, the decoration style of the entire office is still so special.

As soon as you step into this space, the first thing that hits your nose is the pungent smell of potions, a strange mixture of various herbs and unknown ingredients, which makes it almost impossible to breathe.

The walls were covered with bottles and jars filled with colorful liquids and floating unidentified objects, and occasionally some dried animal specimens could be seen.

They are preserved in glass containers in distorted postures, as if they will wake up at any time.

Dim light emanated from an old oil lamp on the ceiling, barely illuminating the small space.

Shadows danced on the walls, adding a sense of mystery and fear to the entire room.

The desk was littered with books, scrolls, test tube racks, and a crucible that seemed to be always boiling.

More unsorted materials were piled in the corner, looking like they were waiting to be processed or to be part of some complex future recipe.

There is a sense of oppression in the air, making people involuntarily want to escape from here.

But for Professor Snape, such a challenging and slightly dangerous environment is his ideal workplace.

Here, he could study his most dangerous formulas undisturbed while providing shelter for his beloved godson.

That's right, Mr. Malfoy, who was kicked out of the dormitory, lives in the small room behind this office.

Originally, Professor Snape arranged him in his original office.

But due to well-known reasons, the atmosphere among Hogwarts students is very bad now, and Slytherin House is being targeted.

Professor McGonagall and other professors were extremely troubled by this, but they did not have a good way to deal with it. They could only use constant verbal lecturing and threats such as deducting house points.

But Professor Snape is completely different. He is the most protective dean of the entire Hogwarts.

How could he allow Slytherin House to be targeted, and those students who came out to cause trouble for no reason or deliberately.

I was immediately assigned to Professor Snape's office, two nights of confinement and the job of professor's assistant.

So poor Mr. Malfoy not only lost his dormitory, but also lived in it for two weeks.

Suffering from insomnia, every time he lay down in his small room to sleep, he could hear screams coming from the office next door.

In Malfoy's later recollection.

"It was an unbearable torture. You could hear 100 ghosts howling in the room next to you."

"Their screams penetrate the walls and go straight into your mind. I really can't imagine the pain they must have endured."

"To make that kind of sound."

After being unable to sleep well for nearly a month, Draco's spirit was at its lowest point.

Seeing that his godson might die suddenly in his office, Professor Snape took him to his new office.

He arranged a new residence for the other party and demonstrated his love for the other party with practical actions, but the environment was a little worse.

Just as Carl was recalling in his mind, Professor Snape came in from behind and just gave him a cold look.

Then he began to spray venom with an expressionless face.

"Mr. Hohenzollern, please pay attention to your own behavior. You have made Hogwarts a mess."

"But at least we have to stick to the bottom line. I don't want to be in a situation where the conflicts among students are so serious."

"I also saw some debauched things happening. The relationships between men and women in the senior grades are already difficult to handle, and you actually messed around with a sophomore student."

"When you do something like that, can't you just go back to your own dorm?"

Karl was completely confused. He wanted to explain but couldn’t say a word. In the end, he could only say helplessly.

"What on earth do you want me to do here? If there's nothing else, I'll go back."

"Go back?" Professor Snape remained expressionless. "Go back to your dormitory to continue? You haven't taken off your clothes yet."

"The previous actions should only be regarded as drills."

"What on earth do you want to say!!!"

Karl was really angry. He stood up and stared at the other person, wondering what was wrong with him.

Others may not know what Kevin Lestrange is, but how could this guy not know?

You already know the truth, why do you still say such things?

Facing the angry Carl, Professor Snape showed no intention of retreating. Instead, he waved his hand gently, and a wave of magical power appeared.

The bricks on the wall next to Carl suddenly retreated to both sides, and a secret room appeared in front of him. In the secret room, two students in Gryffindor uniforms were lying quietly.

It looks like he was hit by a sleeping spell and won't be able to wake up in a short time.

"What does this mean?" Carl looked at the two students in the secret room in confusion.

Then he looked at Professor Snape and asked tentatively.

"What did you do?"

Professor Snape nodded slightly, and then an undisguised anger rose in his eyes.

He looked at the two students viciously and spoke in a cold tone.

"The two of them triggered the protective spell of Harley's dormitory this morning, so they have been unconscious until now."

"It's what we found on them."

As he spoke, Professor Snape placed a bottle of potion that was shining with a strange silver-gray light on the desk in front of the two people.

"The power of the soul? What kind of strange potion is this?"

The moment he saw the bottle of potion, Carl almost blurted out that he was too familiar with that light. You know, he might be the only one in this world.

The only wizard who can actually bring the dead back to the world of the living, that strange silver-grey light, and that indescribable feeling.

It was certain almost immediately upon encountering it that it was a special power coming from the human soul, but what was the purpose of creating such a thing?

He was a little confused for a moment, so he picked up the bottle and looked at it carefully, and finally put it down and asked.

"What is the effect of this potion? I can feel that it has a certain spiritual power, but this kind of thing is useless to living people."

"It has no other uses except making people drowsy and allowing them to see the dead in their dreams."

"You are right. This thing is for the dead. So use your smart brain and think about who is a dead person in Hogwarts Castle."
