Hogwarts: The Wizarding World's First Capitalist

Chapter 184 Arrested as I got off the plane

"The sun shines like tiny pieces of gold foil, gently sprinkling on the Manhattan skyline, and the steel forest wakes up in the morning light."

"Each skyscraper is like a giant tree, stretching its muscles in the sun."

"I and Carl were standing at one end of the Brooklyn Bridge, holding a tourist map of New York City."

“As we planned our next travel route, the air around us was filled with a mixture of seafood and gasoline.”

“It’s a special flavor of New York, with a bit of American ruggedness and a hint of glamour.”

Cedric, who was staying in a small dark room with Carl, recalled the fantasies he had in his mind when he first came to New York.

But now everything has become a bubble. When he found that the plane was landing, there was no other plane landing at the same time around the airport.

Cedric knew that something was wrong. Sure enough, when they got off the plane, they were not greeted by an enthusiastic tour guide or a taxi driver anxious to pick up customers.

Instead, it was a group of Aurors from the Magical Congress of the United States wearing long trench coats. The first words they said when they saw Carl were so familiar.

"Mr. Hohenzollern, you are under arrest."

In this way, the two people were taken to a building in downtown New York City, and those who were required to memorize the course materials were asked to enter this small dark room.

He stayed here for a full hour, and two Aurors with stern faces began to interrogate Carl.

The content was varied, but Carl's answers were so consistent.

"I don't know. I'm not sure. If you ask me, who should I ask?"

After a whole hour of arguing, the two Aurors looked at Carl, who had an indifferent expression, and Cedric, who was anxious beside him.

He said quite angrily.

"Mr. Hohenzollern, why did you come back to America again? Haven't you caused us enough trouble?"

"The thousand-year-old balance between the wizarding world and the Muggle world is gradually being broken because of you. You are not welcome here."

Carl raised his eyelids slightly and looked at the two Aurors with contempt.

"Gentlemen, first of all, according to the nationality classification of the wizarding world, I should be a British wizard."

"The Magical Congress of the United States has no jurisdiction over me. Secondly, according to the laws of the Muggle world, I am an American citizen."

"You have no right to govern what I do, if the two elites think that what I have done before on this land."

"If your interests are damaged or if it involves a crime, you can file a lawsuit in a Muggle court."

"This is America. Isn't everything subject to the law?"

Having said that, Karl simply ignored the two guys, pulled up Cedric who was still in a daze, stood up and prepared to leave.

Instead, the two Aurors blocked the doorway, held out their hands, and spoke sternly.

"Hand over your wands. We have no right to regulate what you do in the Muggle world."

"But you are not allowed to do anything reckless. As long as you stay in this land, you are not allowed to use magic privately."

"10, 9, 8,......." Carl counted down softly.

Seeing that the other party did not take them seriously, the two Aurors were about to warn Carl again, but the other party had already received the last number.

Just as he finished counting, the door of the small dark room was hurriedly opened by someone from the outside.

A person dressed as a secretary came in hurriedly, and when the other party saw Karl, he hurriedly shook the other party's hand and said.

"I'm sorry Mr. Hohenzollern, we made a mistake. You are free to leave. We apologize for our mistake."

"I am terribly sorry."

"No need." Carl shook off the other person's right hand that was holding his, then pulled up Cedric's right hand and pushed away the two Aurors.

He walked straight towards the door, but when he reached the door, he suddenly turned around, looked at the two guys and smiled.

"If the balance you mentioned is so important, but can be broken by me alone, then it means that this balance is not solid in the first place."

"Before you leave, I want to remind you that even though you are Americans and wizards, you still need to study hard."

"This country has only been established for 216 years. There is no so-called millennial balance. Pay attention to cultural cultivation."

"I don't want to see that the law enforcers of the magical world and the law enforcers of the Muggle world are illiterate in some sense."

"As for me, you may rest assured that I am a pure egoist and businessman, and that I am here like all the others who come here throughout the world."

“I’m just here for business.”

After saying that, Carl took Cedric away directly, leaving the three staff members of the Magical Congress of the United States standing there staring at each other.

After several minutes of silence, an Auror roared with a red face.

"What does he mean? Why let him go? He is an extremely dangerous man. Haven't you heard about what happened in England?"

"He used the Unforgivable Curse to kill more than 10 people. How could such a dangerous person escape supervision?"

Faced with the roar, the secretary glared at the other party unhappily, and then said with disdain.

"If you have a temper, go talk to the chairman. Anyway, he just received a call from Mr. Hohenzollern."

"It's not as simple as we thought. He came to the United States at the invitation of someone."

"Who invited you?" another Auror asked.

"It's a call from the Arkansas Governor's office," the secretary said calmly.

"He's from the Muggle world, how can he call the Magic Congress?"

The two Aurors were shocked and asked questions in unison.

Hearing this, the secretary's disdain grew even stronger. He sighed and shook his head.

"You really don't care about those Muggles at all, Mr. Governor. This is not just because of the federal officials."

"He has another identity this year, the Democratic presidential candidate. You are just like those old stubborn people."

"You still think that wizards are superior to Muggles because they have magic. Go out and see more. Or it's just like what that gentleman said."

"Read a little more, otherwise you will appear ignorant."

These words made the already red faces of the two Aurors even redder, and one of them pointed at the secretary in exasperation.

"Clapham Carter, you are a pro-Muggle guy. The Magical Congress of the United States has been messed up by guys like you."

"I don't believe that Mr. Hohenzollern is really here to do business. What kind of business is so attractive?"

Carter, who was scolded by the other party, did not refute and turned around to leave, but just talked to himself as he walked.

"What a bunch of stupid people! With a little deduction, you can figure out what the business Mr. Hohenzollern is talking about is."

"It's a big business that only happens every four years, the US presidential election."
