Hogwarts: The Wizarding World's First Capitalist

Chapter 174 The advantage is mine

The heavy iron chain rubbed against the floor, making a harsh friction sound.

With four international Aurors pointing their wands, Carl was escorted to the building on the basement floor of the Ministry of Magic.

This is a standard parliamentary-style building, with the lower half of the building forming a perfect cylinder.

On the top is a hemispherical dome, with 10 huge pillars standing on the edge of the cylinder, and many seats arranged in a stepped manner from top to bottom.

Right in front of the center of the garden stood a high platform, with the flag of the Wizengamot Council hanging just below the platform.

Carl was taken by four international Aurors to the center of the entire building, where there was a chair reserved for prisoners.

After he sat down, four international Aurors removed the chains on him and fastened all the buckles on the chair.

After fixing all his limbs on the chair, he retreated expressionlessly to the four directions of Carl's seat.

During the whole process, the four people cooperated well and always kept two wands aimed at him.

"You are really going too far." An angry voice rang out as Carl just sat down in his seat.

Professor McGonagall, sitting in the parliamentary seat to Carl's left, roared angrily.

"He's just a child. You can't do this to him. Besides, he hasn't been convicted yet. He's not a criminal."

"Your behavior has seriously violated the regulations. We want to protest to the judging panel."

"That's right, we want to protest, Mr. Hohenzollern is not a criminal!!"

"You can't do this to him, he is not guilty at all, he is just defending Hogwarts!!"

"It is obvious that the British Ministry of Magic is incompetent and unable to protect Hogwarts. Why should my classmates be put on trial?!"

After Professor McGonagall spoke first to protest, the professors and students behind her immediately stood up and protested at the same time.

For a moment, the entire conference hall was filled with excitement and noise.

"Dong Dong!!"

Just as the voices of protest were about to blow away the ceiling of the conference room, Cornelius Fudge stood in the chief seat on the podium.

Finally, he couldn't help but knocked the wooden hammer on his left hand hard. After two dull sounds, he said angrily.

"Professor McGonagall, please keep those students under control and do not allow them to act wildly in this solemn occasion."

"And the other professors, the presidium of the parliament only considers that you are witnesses who have seen the whole incident."

"As a supplement to the witness, we have made an exception to allow you to participate in this trial. If you are openly roaring in the courtroom."

"I can only ask someone to kick you out."

After saying that, Cornelius Gee sat back in his seat and glanced at the still angry Professor McGonagall with lingering fear.

As well as the professors and students behind him, he had not originally planned to invite these people to the trial.

But after the meeting two days ago, old Crouch suddenly informed him that he would invite Hogwarts students and professors to attend.

The reasons given are also very plausible.

"This case is very unusual. The entire British and European wizarding communities have shown great concern about this case."

“So I proposed that this case be heard in public to avoid unnecessary speculation and slander after the trial.”

"Moreover, as the deputy presiding judge, I cannot testify or comment on what happened at Hogwarts that day during the trial."

"We also need some witnesses who were present."

When Cornelius Fudge heard this, he looked as uncomfortable as if he had eaten a fly, but he really couldn't think of any reason to refuse.

Besides, just now in the meeting, we specifically emphasized the principle that rules are above all else. You can't just pick up what you said and then take it back.

He could only agree reluctantly, but he never imagined that Mr. Hohenzollern was so popular in Hogwarts.

After receiving the notice, almost all professors and students expressed their willingness to appear in court to testify for him.

Looking around now, half of the seats in the entire parliament hall are occupied by Hogwarts professors and students.

Just looking at it gave people a bad feeling, but fortunately after searching the crowd, he had not yet found the figure that worried him the most.

Fortunately, "Dumbledore" was not there. As long as the old guy was not present, those students and professors could not cause much trouble.

But even so, he was already a little impatient, looking at the empty seats on the other side, he couldn't help but complain to old Crouch on his right.

"Why haven't those old guys come yet? Go and have a look. Maybe they died at home because of old age."

Old Crouch's expression didn't change on the surface, but he felt a sense of disdain in his heart.

He looked at the impatient Cornelius Fudge in front of him and knew that the other party was panicking, after all, in the entire courtroom.

Half of the seats are in support of Mr. Hohenzollern, even though these people do not have the right to vote.

But the comparison in numbers alone is enough to scare this weak guy.

So as the other party's "new confidant", old Crouch made a very considerate suggestion.

"Minister, we can actually let all the officials of the Ministry of Magic come together to listen to this trial."

"Also, according to the regulations, although they do not have the right to vote, they can form a jury and let them sit in the seats wearing uniform uniforms."

"It is also a deterrent to certain criminals and the people behind them."

Upon hearing this, Cornelius Fudge's eyes lit up. At first, he did want to handle this matter in secret.

After all, it was a private transaction, which could better preserve the dignity of both parties, but Lucius two days ago, and the teachers and students of Hogwarts today.

It has been shown that a private solution is impossible. Since they don't want dignity, there is no need for me to save face for them.

They must know who is the Minister of the British Ministry of Magic and who has the final say.

So he nodded slightly, and after getting consent, old Crouch took out his "Magic Spiritual Passage".

He was about to send a message to notify other Ministry of Magic officials, but before he could press the first button.

Umbridge, the pink toad on Cornelius Fudge's left, immediately reminded in a low voice.

"Mr. Minister, I think this is inappropriate. There are already so many irrelevant people in the trial venue."

“If we call those officials in again, I’m afraid the situation won’t be good.”

"Won't it be good?" Old Crouch asked deliberately, "My dear lady, you might as well make your words more clear."

"All you're saying is that those officials may not be on our side."

"I still want to say that they are unwilling to support our minister."

"I didn't mean that, I just wanted to say..." Umbridge retorted quickly.

"Okay." Cornelius Fudge felt ashamed when he saw that two of his men were about to quarrel among themselves before the trial even started.

Stop it immediately.

"You two stop arguing, Mr. Barty Crouch. I'd better trouble you to inform me about today's incident."

"There's no need for you to be too nervous. After all, this guy used an Unforgivable Curse, no matter what the situation is."

"The truth can never be tampered with. It's better to let those who have second thoughts come and see it, so that they won't gossip about it behind my back."

"No matter what, the facts are here, the advantage is mine!!"
