Chapter 50: Dragon! Dragon! Such a big egg
Professor Flitwick had just dismissed the get out of class.
Hephis stood up suddenly as if his butt was on fire, grabbed Hermione's hand and rushed out.
Theodore was very calm. He calmly sorted out their belongings.
The other young wizards and Professor Flitwick looked at the two men in astonishment as they left.
Are you in such a hurry?
I can only pray secretly that no one will be killed.
Hephis was too fast and made Hermione out of breath. She didn't have as much physical strength as Hephis.
"Stop... stop." Hermione shouted with difficulty.
Hephis finally reacted and stopped quickly.
He looked at Hermione panting, and his anxious heart calmed down instantly.
Hephis said apologetically: "I'm sorry, Hermione, I..."
"No...it's okay, just let me catch my breath."
Hermione held her knees with her hands, gasping for breath, trying to calm her breathing.
Hephis was a little overwhelmed for a moment, so he had to gently stroke Hermione's back to help her calm down.
"Hephis, I'm fine. You go first, I'll catch up after I rest for a while." Hermione said considerately.
Hephis rolled his eyes, picked up Hermione and ran towards Hagrid's Villa.
Hermione's face turned red instantly, and she screamed, "No, put me down, I can walk by myself!"
"Haha, haha." Hephis didn't listen at all and continued to run forward holding her.
Soon the two arrived in front of Hagrid's villa.
The villa is surrounded by various flowers, plants and vines, which gives it a unique charm.
Hephis gently put Hermione down and asked with concern: "Hermione, are you feeling better?"
"You bastard." Hermione punched Hephis in shame and turned her head away.
Hephis walked forward with a smile and pressed the doorbell.
"Who? Who is it?" Hagrid's slightly panicked voice came from inside the house.
"Hagrid, it's me, Hephis." As soon as Hephis finished speaking, he heard a clanging sound coming from the house.
The door was cracked a little, and Hagrid was instantly relieved when he saw that it was Hepherdess and Hermione.
He quickly opened the door a little wider and said, "Come in quickly."
Hephis pulled Hermione's sleeve and squeezed in.
Hagrid nervously glanced outside the door again, and after making sure that no one was there, he quickly closed the door.
As soon as Hephis entered the house, he felt surrounded by heat, as high as 40 degrees.
All the windows in the house were closed and covered with thick curtains.
The flames in the fireplace were more than half a person's height, and a large pot was placed on top of it.
In the pot was a giant oval egg, nearly half a meter long.
"Hephaestus, Hermione told you, didn't she?" Hagrid said with a little nervousness in his tone.
"Well, Hagrid, are you sure it's a dragon egg?"
Hephes' eyes were fixed on the dragon egg, thinking about how to start.
"Of course I won it at the Hog's Head Inn." Hagrid said proudly.
"The Hog's Head Bar? Can I win dragon eggs there? What kind of game is that? I want to try it too." Hephes was a little excited when he heard that.
Hagrid shook his head. "It wasn't a game. I just went there to drink. I won it playing cards with a stranger inside."
"What a pity." Hephis was a little disappointed.
"Hephis, please don't tell anyone else about this, okay?" Hagrid said worriedly.
Hephis waved his hand, "I'm not sick."
"Cough cough..."
As soon as Hephis finished speaking, Hermione started coughing as if she was choked.
"Hermione, what's wrong with you?" Hephis hurried to her side and wanted to pat her on the back.
Hermione slapped his hand away.
"It's illegal to keep dragons! The relevant law was enacted in 1970." Hermione bared her teeth and glared at Hephis.
Uh……
Could it be that he had hinted at Hermione just now?
Hephes' heart skipped a beat. As long as the little lion bared its teeth, it meant it was really angry.
"Yes, yes, Hagrid, it is indeed illegal to keep dragons." Hephis quickly tried to divert the conflict.
He also gave Hermione a look: Look, we are in the same group and we are united in facing the outside world.
"But I really want to have a dragon." Hagrid was a little conflicted and kept pulling his messy beard.
"Stop, Hagrid. It's illegal to keep a dragon if someone discovers you. And you haven't been discovered yet, have you?"
Seeing that Hagrid was about to pull out a handful of his beard, Hephis hurried to persuade him.
Hagrid's mind was a little confused, "But...but you have already seen it..."
"As long as we don't tell anyone, who would know, right, Hermione?"
Hephis looked directly at Hermione, signaling her to save Hagrid's beard quickly.
"Of course, I agreed last time." Hermione said firmly.
"Thank you, thank you." There were tears in Hagrid's eyes.
"Why should we be polite to each other? How long will Hagrid's egg take to hatch?" Hephis asked the question he wanted to know most.
"It will take a week at the earliest."
"A week?" Hephis thought to himself, fortunately there was enough time.
"Hephis, do you like dragons too?" Hagrid asked curiously.
"Of course, who wouldn't like it?" Hephis pulled Hermione towards the table.
"Hermione, sit down and rest for a while!"
Hermione held her little head high, snorted, and then sat down.
"Hagrid, come over too, let's sit down and talk. Tell us something about raising dragons."
He deliberately arranged Hagrid to have his back to the fireplace so that his body could block Hermione's view.
perfect.
"Raising a dragon is actually my first time too." Hagrid scratched his head and said a little embarrassedly, "I only learned it from books."
"Can you tell what species it is?"
"Ron said it was a Norwegian Ridgeback."
"Then I am the fourth one to know!" Hephis joked.
"Hephis, I wanted to tell you earlier, but I was afraid you would object." Hagrid explained hurriedly, "The three little guys discovered it themselves."
"Hagrid, I don't blame you. It's right to be cautious. For things like this, the cost of trial and error is too high." Hefeth said subconsciously.
Hagrid didn't understand the second half of the sentence, but he understood the first half.
Hephis didn't blame him, so he happily talked about raising dragons.
At the beginning, he would turn his head from time to time to look at the dragon eggs in the pot, but after they got so excited chatting, he no longer cared about it.
It was getting dark, and Hephis and Hermione had to say goodbye to Hagrid and prepare to return to the castle.
Hagrid really loves dragons, or rather, magical creatures too much.
If only he could become a teacher of Care of Magical Creatures.
He will definitely be a very good teacher.
Hagrid promised that when the dragon was about to be born, he would invite them to come and watch.
Before leaving, Hagrid stuffed Hephes with a sack of things he had picked up from the Forbidden Forest.
There are all kinds of things, but they are all valuable.
Hephis didn't want it at first, but then he heard Hagrid say that he had originally planned to keep it for the fire.
He accepted it decisively.
