Hogwarts in the shadows
Chapter 304: Fly! Take me to the Riddle Mansion
Voldemort's heart was torn between fear and rage.
He tried hard to suppress the waves in his heart and forced himself to remain calm.
Then a smile appeared on his face.
"Okay, okay." He whispered to himself.
Since Hephaestus and Dumbledore want to duel, let them do it.
It would be best if both sides suffered losses, and he could reap the benefits.
It was then that he felt Harry's invasion of his brain once again.
The discomfort made his smile more twisted and cruel.
Time passed quickly, and in the blink of an eye it was August 1st.
This day is destined to go down in the history of magic as the final battle between the two legendary figures is about to take place.
"Harry, let's go!" Draco, wearing a dark green robe, looked at Harry excitedly.
Today, they would witness their king, Hephaestus, ascend to the pinnacle of glory.
Harry was about to respond when he suddenly felt a sharp pain in the scar on his head as if it was burning.
His consciousness was instantly pulled into a cold, dark room.
There were only a few candles in the room, emitting a faint blue light.
From time to time there was a rustling sound. It was Nagini.
The sound of the giant snake, at least twelve feet long, slithering across the floor.
On the floor of the room, a figure was moving with difficulty, like a wounded animal.
This is Voldemort's perspective, and Harry is once again connected to Voldemort's brain.
His stomach twisted with fear and excitement.
Voldemort's voice was sharp and cold, without a trace of human warmth.
"Tell me the secret of Lily Evans."
The dark figure on the floor moved slightly.
Voldemort's long, white-fingered hand clenched his wand tightly and held it high in the air.
He said in a sharp and cold voice,
"Heart-breaking and bone-cutting!"
The man on the floor screamed in pain and tried to stand up, but could only twist and struggle on the ground.
Voldemort's laughter echoed through the room, full of evil.
He raised his wand, the spell stopped, and the figure groaned and stopped moving.
The man on the ground, his arms trembling, struggled to support his body with his shoulders and raise his head.
His face was covered in blood, haggard and distorted, but there was still an unyielding light in his eyes.
"Kill me." Blake's voice was weak but firm.
"I have no doubt that I will do so eventually." Voldemort's voice was cold as ice.
“But you’re going to tell me Lily Evans’ secret.
Blake… do you think this is all the pain you feel?
Think about it again... When I come back from the duel, if you still don't tell me, I will send you to see the god of death."
Harry woke up at the cruel scene and fell to the ground.
Draco quickly caught him and prevented him from falling completely.
He asked anxiously, "Harry, what's wrong with you?"
"I've connected to Voldemort's brain again." Harry gasped heavily.
Draco looked at Harry who was a little tangled. He asked softly, "What did you see?"
Harry told Draco what he had seen.
"You're saying that Black knows something about your mother, and Voldemort is pressing him for information?"
Draco concluded in amazement.
Harry nodded, feeling very conflicted.
He knew that what he saw could be a trick of Voldemort.
But when it comes to his mother, it's hard for him to just ignore it.
"Harry, this is most likely a trap set by Voldemort, isn't it?" Draco reminded.
Harry lowered his head and remained silent.
Draco sighed, "You mean Voldemort will leave, right?"
Harry's head snapped up, a gleam in his eyes.
"Do you know where they are?" Draco asked.
"I saw him plenty of times in my fourth year at the Riddle House. I can't mistake him," Harry said firmly.
Draco shook his head helplessly, "I knew you would want to go."
A determined look appeared on Harry's face.
Draco could guess that there must be something fishy behind this.
Otherwise the timing wouldn't be so coincidental.
But he didn't dare to take the risk and didn't want Harry to regret his life because of his persuasion.
So he took out the communication coin and started to prepare.
Draco did not disturb Hephis, after all, Hephis still had to prepare for today's duel.
He contacted his father Lucius instead.
After some discussion, they finally came up with a plan.
"Harry, are you ready?" Draco looked handsome in a dark green combat uniform.
He rode on the Thestral's back and turned to look at Harry, who was dressed in the same outfit as him.
Harry nodded, his eyes full of determination and courage.
There was one time when Lucius let something slip.
A prophecy was mentioned.
He and Voldemort chose each other in destiny, it was a fatalism.
Today is their second official meeting.
Harry patted the Thestral's gleaming neck gently.
It was shaking its reptilian head, its long black mane blowing in the wind.
Harry found a more stable sitting position by pressing his knees tightly under the joints of the Thestral's wings.
"Fly! Take me to the Riddle Mansion."
The Thestral stood quietly for a moment.
Then suddenly it spread its wide wings so violently that it nearly threw Harry off its back.
It first squatted down slowly, and then rushed into the sky like an arrow on a string.
The speed was so fast and the angle was so steep that Harry had to hold on to its body tightly to avoid slipping off its bony tail.
They flew over the treetops and rushed straight towards the flaming red sun.
Harry squeezed his eyes shut and pressed his cheek against the Thestral's silky mane.
He never thought he could fly so fast.
The Thestral flew rapidly over Malfoy Manor, its large wings beating the air vigorously.
The cold air slapped Harry's face like a knife.
He squinted his eyes against the fierce wind, turned his head and saw Draco following closely behind him.
In order to avoid Harry's wake, Draco bent down as much as possible and hid behind the Thestral's neck.
Harry looked out over the hills and valleys below.
They flew over village after village.
Below is a lone car speeding along a winding mountain road, crossing hills along the winding road...
I do not know how long it has been.
Harry felt his body slowly going numb.
Suddenly, the Thestral's head jerked downward, and Harry slid forward a few inches along its neck.
They were finally reaching their destination.
As the Thestral descended, Harry could vaguely make out the familiar graveyard.
But it has been completely unrecognizable and has almost become a ruin, with a bottomless pit in the middle.
The Thestral landed on the dark ground silently like a shadow.
Harry slid off its back and gazed at the familiar yet unfamiliar Riddle House not far away.
