Hogwarts in the shadows
Chapter 180 Malfoy Seeks Good Fortune and Avoids Danger
But Hephis was also a little confused.
He has killed several people so far, why doesn't he feel his soul split?
It's not like he had any idea about Horcruxes.
It's just that he can't figure it out.
Killing a person will split the person's soul. That person's soul is too fragile!
If you can't figure it out, then forget it. You have to kill him anyway.
Hephis continued to take out shadows and erase the consciousness within them.
Theodore had previously sorted out the memories of 172 prisoners.
Except for some special ones that need to be kept, other shadows can be used at will.
Hephis used this relatively free time to continue expanding the Shadow Legion.
It was a lot of work, though, and he only managed to finish half of it by the time the Quidditch World Finals arrived.
On Monday morning, Hefice arrived at his home in South Kensington.
He picked up Hermione who was already ready and set off for the competition camp.
Hermione was obviously dressed up carefully today.
Her fluffy brown curls were carefully combed and fell softly on her shoulders.
She was wearing a white chiffon top and blue jeans.
Perfectly showing off her long, straight legs.
She put on some light makeup on her face, and her fair skin had a pink glow.
Hephis also noticed that a certain part of Hermione was noticeably different from yesterday.
It's a lot bigger, probably because it's been padded.
He certainly wouldn't point this out to make himself look boring.
He raised his left hand and a golden halo formed.
He held Hermione's hand, stepped into the circle of light, and instantly arrived at a deserted swamp.
The air was thick with fog and visibility was extremely low.
Fortunately, Hephes' eyes have evolved, so he can see the road ahead clearly.
They walked along a winding path.
About two minutes later, a large fence gate appeared in front of them.
At this time, the gate was open and there was a small stone house in front of it.
When Hephis passed by the stone house, he looked at the man at the door in surprise.
There wasn't a trace of magic on this man, he was obviously a pure Muggle.
Hephis frowned slightly, but didn't say much. He just led Hermione and continued to walk inside.
Hundreds of tents were set up behind the stone house, forming a huge camp.
Many of the tents are oddly shaped.
Some tents have chimneys on top, while others have weather vanes that rotate with the wind.
And this is relatively normal.
What's more, it actually looks like a four-story building with corner towers on the side.
There is also a garden in front of one of the tents, with a bird bath, sundial, fountain and other facilities.
The camp was already noisy at this time, with wizards gathered in groups of three or five, discussing the upcoming game.
The children were playing happily near their tents.
Some soared through the air on toy broomsticks.
Some of them held mini Quaffles and threw them among each other.
Others held wooden sticks and imitated hitting the Bludger.
"It's so lively here!" Hermione was also feeling the cheerful atmosphere around her.
"About a hundred thousand wizards came to watch the World Cup," Hephis added.
"So many people! The Ministry of Magic will be very busy."
Hermione looked at a particularly eye-catching tent in the center of the camp.
The tent was decorated extremely luxuriously, with large amounts of striped silk spread out, making it look like a small palace.
Even more eye-catching is that there are several live peacocks tied at the entrance, proudly displaying their feathers.
"That tent is really..." Hermione hesitated.
When Hephis saw the white peacocks at the door, he knew it must be the Malfoy family's tent.
"Showoff." He finished speaking for Hermione and without further explanation, he pulled Hermione towards the tent.
Hermione looked at the tent that was getting closer and closer, her eyes becoming more and more strange, "This... belongs to Draco's..."
Hephis nodded and pointed to the peacocks.
"That's the White-Feathered Dragon Bird, the signature pet of the Malfoy family. They have the ability to bring good luck and avoid evil, and are the symbol of the Malfoy family's bloodline inheritance."
Hermione looked at the white-feathered dragonflies carefully.
I didn't find any difference between them and ordinary white peacocks.
"How did you recognize it?"
"If you look closely at their crowns, you'll see an imperceptible red dot. That's actually their third eye," Hephis explained.
At this time, Lucius came out from the tent and said, "I am honored that you accepted my invitation, Hephis."
He looked at Hermione next to him and said enthusiastically, "Welcome, Miss Granger."
"Thank you for the invitation." Hephis shook hands with Lucius. "Where's Draco?"
"He's with Hagrid," Lucius replied.
"Oh, are they all here?" Hephis asked.
"Yes, they are all inside. Narcissa is entertaining them." Lucius smiled and welcomed them into the tent.
The entire interior of the tent is decorated luxuriously and tastefully, and every detail reveals the unique style of the Malfoy family.
Snape, Flora and Narcissa were chatting in the living room.
After they greeted each other, they sat together and chatted for a while.
After a while, Hermione went to look for Hagrid in the suitcase.
It was obvious that she was not interested in such meaningless small talk.
"Lucius, the person outside the stone house is a Muggle, right?" Hephis asked softly.
"Yes." Lucius nodded, "He is in charge of looking after this camp."
Hephis was a little puzzled, "Aren't they afraid of being exposed?"
Lucius explained, "That's why he is still in charge. I heard that there are people watching him and casting the Oblivion Charm on him more than a dozen times a day to ensure that he doesn't notice anything unusual."
Hephis no longer wanted to complain about the Ministry of Magic's outrageous actions.
If you don't want to be exposed, why not just change someone else?
The venue for the Quidditch World Cup final was decided several months ago.
Just find someone and replace that Muggle a month ago.
Why not just use the Oblivion Charm to bring the person back after the World Cup? Why do you have to keep this Muggle?
There were those strange-shaped tents outside and the wizards who didn't look like they were dressed normally.
How could a fool not be suspicious?
"How's the progress in finding the key?" Hephis pointed out the problem directly without telling Freya and Narcissa.
Lucius looked at Hephis before answering.
"Except for Lestrange's minor trouble, everyone else's keys have been found."
"What trouble?" Hephis asked curiously.
"After the Lestrange family was arrested, their old house was left unattended and now it has become a ruin. The key is hidden by their family's blood magic, making it difficult to locate."
Lucius paused and continued.
"But Theodore has already determined the approximate location of the entrance, and we should be able to find it in a day or two."
"Okay." Hephis nodded.
