Hogwarts in the shadows

Chapter 16: Defeating Slytherin

Hephis directly used the shadows of the eight people in the field, transformed them into black snakes, and bit their calves fiercely.

For a while, screams could not be heard.

Hephis seized the opportunity, fired his wand quickly, and the spell poured out, and seven or eight people were petrified instantly.

The rest of the people were also confused by the rapidly changing situation on the field.

Hephaestus took advantage of the victory and pursued the remaining people, turning their shadows into small snakes that bit their calves.

They hurriedly cast the armor spell to block the black snake's attack.

However, the Hephis spell continued to be fired, not giving them any chance to breathe.

The few who wanted to dodge found that the black snake seemed to have taken root, restricting their movements.

"Everyone, attack with all your might!" Marcus shouted loudly, enduring the severe pain in his calf, and at the same time desperately shot spells at Hephes.

Others responded.

Hephis easily dodged the curse of their poor accuracy and defeated all of his living targets one by one.

The battle finally ended here.

Some fainted, some were petrified, and two had their faces swollen from being stung, lying on the ground groaning in pain.

Hephis was breathing heavily, and the magic power in his body was almost exhausted.

He felt a little exhausted and he really couldn't ejaculate a single drop.

But I have to continue pretending, after all, Shadow's ability is still useful.

Hephis struggled to stand still and took a deep breath.

"Who else?"

The dozen or so senior students still standing outside the circle had solemn expressions on their faces. This was denying them a chance to survive!

They all took out their wands and pointed them at Hephis, but no one dared to attack first.

"Pa pa pa." A burst of crisp applause sounded at an inopportune time.

Professor Snape walked out from the darkness, his face gloomy, his eyes sweeping across the room like a sharp sword.

He waved his wand, and a dozen senior students lying on the ground climbed up.

Even the two students who were hit by the stinging curse stood there in pain, not daring to make a sound.

"It's really exciting! A group of senior students besieged a freshman. Where is your glory?"

The Slytherin snakes all lowered their heads, speechless.

Hephis quietly moved to the side and leaned against a stone wall created by magic. He really couldn't hold on any longer.

"Hephis Dam, I didn't expect this! It seems that just entering the medical wing at the start of school cannot satisfy your pursuit of fame." Professor Snape turned his gaze to Hephis and continued to spray venom.

"Professor, I..."

"Hephis Dam, how about I help you promote it again? Defeating Slytherin alone? It seems that you don't take Slytherin House seriously."

"Professor, I didn't. I just think that Slytherins nowadays have forgotten their due honor."

Hephaestus forced himself to look at Snape. He was pretending to be so tough. If he got scared, the fight would be in vain.

"Slytherin doesn't need an evaluation from a freshman who has just entered school or even just learned about the wizarding world."

Hephis did have some prejudices against Slytherin House.

After all, in the movies, many crazy people are from Slytherin.

Plus, Draco Malfoy has been lowering the bottom line of Slytherin.

This undoubtedly deepened the negative image of Slytherin in Heffies' mind.

However, Professor Snape's words reminded him that movies are just movies, and there is a world of difference between them and reality.

As a newcomer to the magical world, he really shouldn't jump to conclusions.

"Hephis Dam, considering your excellent performance just now, I think you need to be detained on Monday and Thursday nights, how about that?"

"Okay, Professor."

"As the invisible prefect of Slytherin, you will have a separate room. Dum, follow me."

The little snakes all looked at Snape in surprise. Where did Slytherin come up with such a rule?

Hephis was even more puzzled. He had originally planned to cut out the shadows of his roommates while they were sleeping at night to speed up his learning.

This sudden single dormitory caught him off guard.

"Two people, take these two idiots to the medical wing. As for the others..."

Snape glanced around.

"Don't you need to eat lunch?"

The little snakes seemed to have been pardoned and came out one after another from the hole in the lounge.

Two more students came forward to support Derek and Marcus.

Snape walked straight to Hephesus, grabbed him by the back of his collar and led him into a private room.

"Hephis Dam, bring your things here."

After saying that, he threw a small bottle of potion on the bed, turned around and left, not giving Hephis a chance to speak.

Hephis collapsed directly onto the bed, picked up the potion, and drank it directly.

Damn, that’s so bitter.

As the medicine took effect, his depleted magic power began to recover rapidly.

Well, Professor Snape, it seems that this fight was not in vain.

With Snape's awkward personality, he actually took the initiative to give him the potion.

Instead of sending him to the medical wing, it was enough to show how much they cared about him.

Now Hephis really didn't want to move, so he called An An directly.

An An was so nice. Not only did she help him carry his luggage, she also brought him a sumptuous lunch.

Hephis also asked An An to deliver a note to Hermione, explaining his situation to Hermione and that the afternoon "date" would have to be cancelled.

An An soon brought Hermione's reply, asking Hefeth to have a good rest.

While An An was clearing the dishes, he brought the castle map he asked for.

To his surprise, this was not an ordinary map.

It can display his location in real time. As long as he points to the destination, the map will quickly plan the best route and two alternative routes.

This made Hefes very happy, and he praised An An a lot.

An An's face became redder and redder, as if she was drunk, and finally she couldn't help but run away with a "puff".

Snape cleaned up the Potions classroom and walked into the Great Hall to enjoy lunch.

However, he glanced across the Slytherin table but did not see any students.

"What a bunch of bastards." Snape cursed under his breath and quickened his pace towards the Slytherin common room.

As soon as he entered the lounge, he saw a group of senior students firing spells at Hephis, some of which even hit Hephis' body.

Snape wanted to stop it, but Hephis was like nothing had happened. He was still frantically transforming into cover and handling the situation with ease.

A bunch of question marks floated above Snape's head, two fainting spells, three petrifying spells, and a curse that he couldn't even see.

Is Hephis a giant monster? Is his skin resistance so high?

Snape didn't think that the spells cast by those senior students were just for show.

The appearance of those little black snakes made Snape squint his eyes.

He was certain that it was neither a summoning spell nor a transfiguration spell, although it bore a strong resemblance to them.

Apparently, Hephes has more secrets hidden in him.

These black snakes are non-venomous, but they attack extremely quickly, have high resistance to magic, and are very powerful.

When they appeared, Snape knew that Hephaestus had won.

The biggest taboo when multiple people are casting spells is to lose their composure. Once someone starts to panic, it will be like a black nail, infecting two people.

Ultimately, Hephis did win the duel, but Snape could see that he was at the end of his rope.

Seeing that another group of senior students were ready to take action, Snape had no choice but to stand up.

A student who loves potions and is skilled in it is still very rare.

Well! More importantly, Hephis's green eyes and delicate features are more like Lily than Harry Potter.
