Hogwarts in the shadows
Chapter 107 Laughter from the Tower
Laforne was obviously very familiar with Dumbledore, "Albus, how have you been lately?"
"It's great to see many children's smiling faces every day." Dumbledore responded with a smile.
Laforn looked at the castle getting closer and closer and joked, "It's been all these years, and you're still not tired of it!"
"Perhaps I'll never get tired of watching it." Dumbledore's eyes flashed with warmth.
Laforn tapped the ground lightly with his cane, his face becoming serious. "Austria has been a little bit unstable lately."
Dumbledore's eyes flickered. "What happened?"
Laforn sighed, "Nothing happened, but some old guys, for some reason, became active again."
Dumbledore was silent for a moment. "Can you tell me why?"
"I did ask, but they only asked because of the sound of that person's laughter that could always be heard in the tower."
LaFouin paused and continued, “He didn’t leave, and he didn’t allow anyone else to go up.”
"Laughter..." Dumbledore's beard seemed to tremble slightly.
Laforne glanced at Dumbledore, a hint of meaning flashing in his eyes.
"Yes, I could hear that laughter every night. It was as if he was very happy, very, very happy."
Dumbledore fell into deep thought.
Laforn did not continue speaking, but tapped the ground with his cane again.
Elsewhere, Miss Delacour was commenting on the Hogwarts castle.
She frowned in dissatisfaction and said with disgust.
"This castle is really old and outdated, and the decoration is not aesthetically pleasing at all."
Minister Fudge smiled and looked at Dumbledore and Laforne from time to time.
Although he couldn't hear the conversation between the two, he was silently observing Dumbledore's expression.
Pollachi agreed with Delacour's words and nodded repeatedly.
This made Miss Delacour very proud.
Everyone soon came to an empty classroom that had been prepared.
Delacour asked unhappily, "Principal Dumbledore, when can we meet that so-called 'genius'?"
When she mentioned the word "genius", her tone was full of disdain and sarcasm.
Dumbledore smiled and explained, "I have sent someone to notify them. I believe they will arrive soon."
"Humph, a genius is a genius. He is so arrogant that he even wants us to wait for him." Delacour continued sarcastically.
Dumbledore still kept smiling: "After all, he is only a second-year student. He should still be in class at this moment."
Pollachi made a tut-tut sound and said sarcastically, "You are so studious!"
Just then, Snape strode in.
He did not even glance at Pollach and Delacour, but simply nodded to Minister Fudge and Ms. Laforne, then stood aside.
No one present noticed that there seemed to be a subtle inconsistency between Snape's shadow and himself.
"Snape, it's really not easy to see you!" There was a hint of coldness in Delacour's voice.
"I didn't want to see you." Snape responded indifferently.
"You..." Delacour's face turned ugly in an instant, and she pulled out her wand angrily.
But before she could raise her hand completely, Laforn gently held it down.
"You two should deal with your issues separately later, so as not to make fun of you in front of the younger generation."
Laforn's eyes went to Hephis who was walking towards them.
Delacour glared at Snape fiercely and said through gritted teeth: "Snape, just wait for me!"
Snape seemed not to have heard her words and didn't even give her a glance.
Hephis walked in front of the crowd, bowed slightly and greeted everyone.
Snape then walked up to Hephaest and introduced the members of the review team to him one by one.
When introducing Delacour, he added lightly: "This is just to make up the numbers."
This caused Miss Delacour's eyes to widen.
Laforn looked at Hefeth with admiration in his eyes.
"What a handsome boy you are. You are much more handsome than Albus was when he was younger."
Hefeth smiled, "Thank you for the compliment, Ms. Laforne."
He had a good first impression of the old lady.
Because her smile unconsciously gives people a warm feeling.
Delacour suddenly interrupted: "Are you Snape's student?"
Hephis nodded, "Yes, I am honored to have such a potion master to teach me potions."
Delacour snorted. Although his tone was unhappy, he looked at Hephis with satisfaction: "Snape is so lucky!"
Hephis smiled slightly, "I should say I'm really lucky."
Pollachi said in a gloomy tone, "We have wasted a lot of time. Should we start as soon as possible?"
Hephis glanced at him and shrugged: "I'm available anytime."
In the following time, Pollach's questions continued to fall on Hefes.
Pollachi still has the real stuff, or rather, he is very well prepared.
Questions have even been raised as to why lovage can only be used within three days of being picked.
If Snape had not had the foresight to let Hephaestus swallow his shadow in advance, he would have been stumped by the question.
Now he only needed to search a little in his mind to easily find the answer.
So even though Pollachi mentioned a lot of issues that were not related to the Transfiguration Potion.
Hephis was still able to cope with it.
Every time Hephes answered the previous question, Delacour would always say something like a supporting role.
"So this is ah!"
"I do not even know."
"Not bad."
Hephesus looked at Delacour strangely. There was something wrong with this woman!
Laforn, on the other hand, smiled more kindly, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
She interrupted Pollachi's questioning and said, "Okay, Pollachi, you've asked enough questions. I think we should have the answers by now."
Although Pollachi was unwilling, he nodded and stepped aside.
Laforn praised: "Hephis, you are really great. With your current knowledge, I believe that in the near future, the magic world will welcome another outstanding potion master."
Hefeth responded modestly, "Thank you for the compliment, Ms. Laforne."
Delacour suddenly looked at Minister Fudge who was just standing by.
"I think Hephis deserves a Knight of Merlin, Second Class."
Minister Fudge nodded quickly in agreement: "Of course, of course, the British Ministry of Magic will apply for him as soon as possible."
Snape said coldly, "Hephis, you should go back to class."
He was about to take Hephes away.
"Snape, stop right there!" Delacour shouted.
Snape didn't even turn his head and continued walking forward.
