Genshin Impact: The Sharpshooter of Teyvat

Chapter 10 Knights of the West Wind

"So you're here, Noelle."

Just as Shao Yun and Noel finished helping the last affected Mond citizen and sat down to rest, a cold, steady, and slightly distant male voice came from behind them.

"Captain of the Cavalry!" Noelle was startled and quickly stood up, turned around, grabbed her skirt with both hands, and performed a maid's salute.

This voice, plus the cavalry captain that Noel addressed, was definitely Kaia.

Shao Yun stood up and turned around. He saw a handsome man with blue hair, gorgeous clothes and an eye patch on his right eye standing there, looking at him with a smile.

"Noel, I saw that you helped the citizens of Mondstadt. You are still so kind-hearted. Good, good." Kaeya clapped his hands.

"Captain of the Cavalry, you are too kind. This is what I should do." Noelle blushed and mentioned Shao Yun's contribution. "In fact, Mr. Shao Yun also helped me a lot. The two of us helped the citizens of Mondstadt together. We cleaned the alchemy shop and cleared the garbage on the street."

"Oh, is this Mr. Shao Yun?" Kaia pretended to be surprised and exclaimed: "Hello, your travel companions Ying and Paimon told me about you. You are indeed a heroic and charming man."

It seems that the plot has reached the point where Ying goes to the Knights, but because of the addition of myself, the plot is stuck here, and Kaeya comes to find me.

Shao Yun folded his arms over his chest, nodded slightly, and said nothing. Kaiya coughed lightly and gave a very standard smile.

"My name is Kaia, and I'm the cavalry captain of the Knights of Favonius." He walked over and stretched out his hand.

The two shook hands, and Shao Yun replied in a neither humble nor arrogant manner: "Hello, you can usually call me Shao Yun, I am also a traveler."

"Considering being a traveler..." Kaia murmured, his voice was very weak, but Shao Yun still heard it.

"Maybe one day I will stay in a certain country. Although I have been wandering since I was born, a stable life is so attractive." Shao Yun withdrew his hand and answered meaningfully.

"Haha, if you are tired, Mond welcomes tired travelers to settle down." Kaeya opened his arms, indicating Mond's tolerance and freedom, but his eyes never left Shao Yun's eyes, and he added one sentence.

"Of course, Mond also welcomes 'friendly' people." He emphasized the word "friendly".

Kaeya tried to test Shao Yun, but Shao Yun was also following the character template of Red Dead Redemption, so he was not a pushover.

Shao Yun raised his eyebrows, leaned forward, and said with undiminished momentum: "I am very friendly. Of course, my friendliness is only for friends."

The two of them had the same aura, and in the end, Kaia laughed and turned the page to continue the conversation.

"Hahaha, Mr. Shao Yun is really straightforward. I like your character." Kaiya stretched out his hand and made an invitation gesture.

"Your travel companion is waiting for you in the Knights, come with me." Kaia looked at Noelle and waved at her. "Ms. Noelle, you should come as well. There are some urgent tasks that require your help."

"Okay, Captain of the Cavalry," Noelle replied stiffly.

Kaiya didn't care about the title of cavalry captain. If he said it too much, it would seem strange. "Just call me Kaiya. There's no need to be so serious."

“Okay, Mr. Kaia.” Noelle finally added the honorific.

At this moment, the mission is updated.

Current mission: Follow Kaeya.

Shao Yun followed Kaiya and began to review what happened after he and Ying separated.

Overall, I now know Noel better, am more familiar with the layout of Mondstadt, and get to know more people. Other than that, there is nothing else.

Didn’t we start by looking for a place to live? Where did the reward of changeable clothes go?

After climbing a few flights of stairs, we passed the Mondstadt Adventurer's Guild Headquarters and finally arrived at the Knights of Favonius Headquarters.

The headquarters of the Knights of Favonius is a magnificent building with an imposing appearance. It is made of solid stone and gorgeous decorations, demonstrating the majesty and glory of the Knights.

The emblem of the Knights of Favonius was carved on the door, and two knights were standing guard at the door. They had serious expressions and were always vigilant.

"Welcome to the headquarters of the Knights of Favonius." A knight saluted and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw it was Kaeya. "It's Captain Kaeya and Miss Noelle. Who's the one next to them?"

"This is the guest invited by the Knights Templar, Mr. Shao Yun." After introducing Shao Yun, he became familiar with his face. I guess he can go in directly in the future without being questioned.

"The people led by Captain Kaeya are unlikely to be in any danger. Go in. Captain Qin has been waiting for a long time." The knight let them in.

Upon entering the headquarters, the first thing that catches your eye is a spacious hall with smooth stone slabs on the floor and shields with the logo of the Knights of Favonius hanging on the walls.

There are multiple rooms and areas inside the headquarters, including the head of the group's office, the detention room, the library, and so on.

Kaia first called Noel aside and whispered a few words to him. Then Noel looked surprised, covered his mouth, and immediately ran out of the Knights to carry out an urgent mission.

Shao Yun couldn't help but twitch the corners of his mouth twice. Noel was so easy to be deceived and his mind was too naive. No wonder he couldn't become a knight for a long time.

"What did you arrange for her?" Shao Yun asked puzzledly.

Kaiya put his index finger in front of his mouth and said with a grin, "It's an emergency mission."

“……”It’s the same as saying nothing.

There is no need to worry about what task to give Noelle. It will probably be something small like delivering goods.

Pushing open the door of the head of the group leader's office, Kaiya said to the people inside: "I have brought the people here."

As soon as I stepped into the office, I heard a soft and cute voice.

"Shao Yun, are you okay?" Paimeng then flew over hurriedly, circled around Shao Yun, and checked if he was injured.

"Don't worry, I'm not hurt." He stopped Paimon who was spinning around him, "If you spin again, I'll get dizzy."

"I'm glad you're not hurt. The Wind Dragon attacked Mondstadt just now and I was almost scared to death." After saying that, he flew back to Ying's side. "Thanks to Ying for chasing it away, otherwise it would have been very dangerous."

"Well done, Ying. If it weren't for you, we would be in big trouble." Shao Yun blinked his left eye and praised Ying.

"Thank you for the compliment." Ying felt a little embarrassed.

Then, while Kaeya explained the situation in Mondstadt in detail, Shao Yun glanced at the other people in the room. In addition to Kaeya and Amber, there were two others.

The first one came from the librarian Lisa, who was wearing a purple witch hat and a unique wizard robe with purple rose as the main color. Lisa showed off her slender thighs wrapped in black stockings, and was looking at Shao Yun seductively.

Shao Yun lowered his head slightly, nodded gently, and then set his gaze on the piano on the other side.

Her long blond hair was tied into a neat ponytail, which made her look neat and tidy. Her eyes were clear and firm, her face was beautiful, her features were delicate, her skin was fair, and she looked approachable and gentle.

Her clothing style is elegant, with ink, blue and white as the main colors. White high-heeled boots, ink-colored shawl and swallowtail dress complement her noble temperament.

After understanding the general situation, the atmosphere in the room became a little depressed. After all, the storm outside had only weakened, not disappeared. Qin thought for a moment and straightened her expression.

"Mondstadt welcomes you, wind-bound travelers."

Shao Yun livened up the atmosphere, "It's not like we were blown away by the wind, at least we weren't blown away by the hurricane, haha."

"Haha, you are really good at joking, funny and handsome man." Lisa smiled, then looked at Ying, "My little cutie, your travel companion is really a happy person."

This livened up the atmosphere, and Qin's tense nerves relaxed a little. She briefly introduced herself and Lisa, and then looked at the three of them apologetically.

"I'm sorry, Mondstadt is facing a Wind Dragon crisis right now, so we can't entertain you properly."

Lisa also sighed and spoke lazily about the current situation.

"The flow of elements and the circulation of earth veins throughout Mondstadt have become like a ball of string that a cat has scratched."

After saying this, he touched his delicate face and said, "For a magician, this is the worst situation. Both the skin and the mood have become worse."

Qin took over the topic and looked at Ying. "Please stay in Mondstadt for now. You have helped us a lot by helping us drive away the wind dragon. Now it's our turn to help you."

Having said this, Qin showed an embarrassment on her face and she forced a smile.

"In fact, if it weren't for the Wind Dragon crisis, our Knights would have a better way to help you find your relatives than the missing persons notice, but now..."

Shao Yun helped her speak out.

"But the Knights are now overwhelmed by their own difficulties. This is what you want to say."

Everyone's eyes turned to Shao Yun. Qin's inner thoughts were spoken out, and she nodded somewhat awkwardly. Right now, Captain Falga had taken most of Mond's people on an expedition. Mond was now weak, and had been exhausted after dealing with the Wind Dragon for a long time.

"Don't be so reserved. If you have something to say, just say it directly. Don't think too badly of us. Some things can be more effective if you say them directly rather than hinting at them in a coy way."

Shao Yun went straight to the point. Lisa looked at Shao Yun curiously. Such a clean and neat answer greatly increased her curiosity about Shao Yun.

"This tall and handsome man is so direct." Lisa, leaning on the railing, rested her chin on her hand and turned to look at Qin.

"Qin, I don't think there's any need to beat around the bush. They've already made it clear, so just say it straight."

"Okay, since Mr. Shao Yun has made it clear, I'll just say it straight." Qin took a deep breath and looked at Ying and Paimeng who were still a little confused.

"We need help, can you two help us?"

Shao Yun felt something was wrong. Why did Ying and Paimon help the Knights of Favonius, but not me? Did they look down on me because I didn't drive away the dragon? It seemed true. He was just following Noelle to help the disaster-stricken residents in Mondstadt. At best, he was just an enthusiastic citizen. If he was asked to fight the dragon, it would be embarrassing in the eyes of these people.

"Even if Captain Qin really tells us not to worry, we will still lend a helping hand." Ying placed her right hand on her chest and assured Captain Qin that she would help Mond solve the problem of the Wind Dragon.

After receiving such an answer, Qin thanked Ying from the bottom of her heart.

"Thank you so much, I really don't know what to say."
