Naruto: Throne of the Holy Hand
Chapter 136: Shadow of the Water City
In the water city, the bustling streets were filled with water vapor, and the sun shone through the clouds, casting mottled shadows. Robin stood beside a sculpture, her fingers gently stroking the cold stone, as if she was recalling the past. Namikaze Hades stood beside her, his eyes deep, as if he was thinking about something.
"Are you still thinking about that?" Namikaze Hades broke the silence, his voice low and gentle.
Robin was slightly startled, turned his head, and a complex emotion flashed in his eyes. "I wonder if we would be freer without CP9's surveillance?"
"Freedom?" A sneer appeared on Namikaze Hades' lips. "In this world, true freedom has never existed. We are just struggling, looking for a glimmer of hope for survival."
"But we can't give up." Robin's voice was firm, and his eyes showed an unyielding determination. "I don't want to be a pawn in someone else's hands anymore."
At this time, footsteps were heard in the distance, and several CP9 members approached quietly, their eyes as sharp as hawks, staring at the pair of "fugitives". One of the tall men said coldly: "Your secret will not be covered by your will."
Robin's heart tightened, knowing that these people could reveal her identity at any time. She took a deep breath and tried to stay calm: "We have no secrets, only the desire for freedom."
“Freedom?” The tall man laughed contemptuously. “What you call freedom is nothing but ignorance of reality. You are just escaping from the fate that you cannot change.”
Namikaze Hades looked at him coldly, with a flash of anger in his eyes: "You think you are in control of everything, but true power does not lie in oppression, but in understanding and tolerance."
The tall man was slightly stunned, then burst into laughter: "You are so naive. Understanding and tolerance are never worth mentioning in this world. Only strength can make people surrender."
"Strength is not the only option." Robin's voice rang out again, with a hint of trembling, "We can use wisdom and courage to change the status quo."
“Wisdom and courage?” The tall man’s laughter turned shrill. “In front of you, I only see a pair of ignorant lambs. Your resistance is futile.”
"Enough!" Namikaze Hades could no longer hold back, his voice as loud as thunder. He took a step forward, approaching the tall man, his eyes burning with anger, "You are not worthy of insulting us here. We will fight for freedom in our own way, not let you manipulate us."
The tall man was shocked by his aura, then he took a step back with a sneer: "Hmph, don't think you can escape from my grasp. Your fate has already been determined."
"Destiny?" Robin's eyes flashed with a hint of provocation, "We can change our destiny, no matter how difficult it is."
Just then, another CP9 member suddenly appeared behind them, with a cunning gleam in his eyes: "It seems that you need a lesson."
"Lesson?" Namikaze Hades smiled slightly, not seeming to care, but showing a hint of provocation, "Do you think you can defeat us easily?"
"Don't be too confident." The CP9 member said coldly, and immediately attacked Namikaze Hades. Namikaze Hades reacted quickly, dodged sideways, and then launched a counterattack, punching out like thunder.
"Robin, hurry up!" Namikaze Hades shouted to Robin while fighting.
"I won't abandon you!" Robin responded firmly, with an unyielding fighting spirit in her heart. Her figure flashed in the battle, trying to find an opportunity to counterattack.
"Stupid girl!" the tall man roared and quickly pounced on Robin, trying to catch her.
At this critical moment, a black flower suddenly appeared in Robin's hand and flew towards the tall man. The flower pierced his arm like a sharp blade, causing him to step back in pain.
"You...how dare you!" The tall man gritted his teeth, his eyes full of disbelief.
"I'm not afraid of you!" Robin's voice was as loud as a war drum, and the fear in her heart was dispelled by anger. Her figure was looming in the mist, as if she had turned into a spirit in the water, agile and tenacious.
Namikaze Hades seized the opportunity and quickly approached Robin: "We must leave here and can't continue to entangle!"
"I know!" Robin nodded, with a firm light in his eyes.
The two quickly ran towards the exit of Water City, but the CP9 members behind them did not give up easily and chased them relentlessly. The tall man shouted: "Don't let them escape! Stop them!"
On the streets of Water City, the chaotic scene attracted many passers-by, who were whispering and watching the scene in horror. Namikaze Hades and Robin shuttled through the streets, dodging the attacks of the pursuers, with an unyielding fighting spirit in their hearts.
"We can't stay here for long." Namikaze Mingdi thought about how to escape while running, "We must find a safe place."
"I know a place." A gleam flashed in Robin's eyes. "To the north of Water City, there is a hidden port where we can hide temporarily."
"Then go!" Emperor Namikaze quickened his pace and prayed secretly in his heart, hoping to escape successfully.
The two ran northward with all their might, and the roars of CP9 members could be heard behind them, as if a beast was following them. Robin's heartbeat accelerated, and she felt an invisible pressure, but her eyes were always shining with determination.
"Emperor Ming, there seems to be something moving ahead!" The voices of his companions behind him interrupted his thoughts. Emperor Ming looked back and saw ripples on the sea surface. Then, a beautiful mermaid jumped out of the water. Her scales sparkled with colorful light under the sunlight.
"Hello, I'm Kami!" She stopped gracefully beside the boat and greeted them with a smile, her voice as pleasant as the sound of waves gently hitting the rocks.
"Kami? Are you a mermaid?" Hades asked in surprise, with curiosity flashing in his eyes.
"Yes, I'm a mermaid. I heard that you were looking for the Shampoo Islands?" Kami blinked playfully, as if telling them some secret.
"Yes, we are planning to go there." Hades nodded, his heart full of curiosity about this mysterious creature.
At this moment, another figure walked out of the cabin, and the starfish Papak hurried over. His eyes were shining, and he obviously wanted to join in the conversation.
"Wait a minute! Kimi, I want to introduce myself too!" Papak said loudly, trying to get everyone's attention.
"Oh, Papak, you're here." Kimi turned around, the smile on his face did not diminish, but there was a hint of contempt in his tone, "I was talking to them about the Chambord Islands. Do you know what a beautiful place it is?"
"Beautiful? But it's also a dangerous place!" Papak interrupted eagerly, obviously unhappy that Kemi had stolen the limelight. His voice was full of warnings, "I heard that the currents in the Chambord Archipelago are very complicated, and there are many pirates. We must be careful."
"Pirates? I'm not afraid of them!" Kimi raised his chin, his eyes flashing with provocation, "I can take you there safely, don't worry."
The Hades felt nervous, and he realized that the atmosphere between the two partners had become subtle and tense. "Everyone, calm down, what we want is to reach our destination safely, not to argue about who is more powerful." He tried to mediate the conflict between the two.
"The Hades is right, Papak, you shouldn't be too nervous." Kemi smiled slightly, and his tone became softer. "I have lived in this sea for a long time, and I am familiar with every undercurrent and reef."
"But I still feel that... the situation in the Chambord Archipelago is very complicated." Papak insisted, with uneasiness in his tone.
"I can help you find a safe route." Kemi's voice became firm. "I will use the school of fish to guide the direction so that you will not get lost again."
"Are you sure you can do it?" Papak frowned, obviously doubting Kami's ability.
"Of course!" Kami said confidently, turned around and waved towards the sea. A group of colorful little fish instantly emerged from the water. They danced in the water, forming a shimmering route.
"Look! These fish are my friends. They will lead you to the Shampoo Islands." Kami said proudly, with anticipation in his eyes.
The Hades was deeply attracted by this scene, and he couldn't help but trust Kemi. "Okay, Kemi, we decided to follow you." He nodded, his tone firm.
"Thank you, Hades! I will definitely bring you there safely." Kami's smile was as bright as the sun, instantly dispelling the doubts in Papak's heart.
"I hope so." Papak was still a little worried, with a hint of worry in his eyes.
As the boat sailed towards the Chambord Islands, the sea breeze blew gently and the waves hit the hull, as if telling the secrets of the ocean. Kami swam beside the boat, looking back from time to time to communicate with them and tell them about her wonderful experience on the seabed.
"I've seen giant sea turtles with corals growing on their backs, like the ocean's moving treasures." Kemi's voice was full of yearning, "And the mysterious shipwrecks, which contain countless treasures and stories."
"Shipwreck? That must be very dangerous, right?" Papak interrupted, and couldn't help but think of those legendary pirates.
"Dangerous? Yes, but it's also full of adventurous fun." Kami smiled slightly, with a gleam in his eyes. "In the ocean, only the brave can find the real treasure."
The Hades listened quietly and thought to himself. He understood that Kami's adventurous spirit was not completely consistent with their goals, but he also felt a call from the ocean, an impulse to explore the unknown.
"Perhaps we should consider exploring those shipwrecks." Hades suddenly said, with excitement flashing in his eyes.
"Emperor Hades, are you kidding?" Papak asked in surprise, clearly uneasy about the suggestion.
"Why not? This is the meaning of our adventure." The Hades' voice was firm and full of passion.
"I want to go too!" Kami responded excitedly, with anticipation gleaming in his eyes.
"But we must be careful, pirates and dangerous ocean currents may appear at any time." There was uneasiness in Papak's voice, he knew he had to dissuade the Hades.
"I will protect you!" Kami said confidently, his eyes firm and gentle.
"I believe you, Kami." The Hades responded with a smile, his heart full of anticipation for the unknown adventure.
"Master, can you take me to the Chambord Islands?" There was a longing gleam in Kami's eyes and his tone was full of pleading.
Starfish Papak frowned slightly, put down the conch in his hand, and said in a deep voice: "Kami, the Shampoo Islands are not a place you should go."
"Why?" Kami asked unwillingly. The smile on his face disappeared instantly, replaced by a hint of loss.
"You can't imagine the dangers there, especially for a young merman like you." Papak's voice was firm and calm, as if he had made a decision that could not be questioned.
Kemi bit her lower lip, the disappointment in her heart turned into unwillingness: "I just want to go and take a look, Master, can't you take me there once? I will be careful!"
"This is a decision I cannot compromise on." Papak's eyes became serious, as if reminding Kimi that her insistence would only make things more complicated.
Kimi lowered her head, her heart filled with disappointment. Her eyes drifted out the window, and countless dreams in her heart flickered in the blue waters of the Chambord Islands. However, the master's rejection was like a huge rock, weighing her down and making her breathless.
