Naruto: Sasuke and Naruto Hot Heaven
Chapter 89 The rest of the summoned beasts
"Shikamaru," he introduced calmly.
"I've always wanted to meet the Nara clan," Vilan said easily, and Shikamaru could feel its warm breath on his skin.
"Do you know my family?"
The deer shrugged, making a human-like motion.
"I know a little bit. Our previous contractor was from the Nara clan, but that was a long time ago." Willan twisted his neck and looked directly at Shikamaru.
"I'm the Ghost Deer, if you're wondering. My clan is extremely powerful and can transform chakra into elemental forms and illusions. We're very fast and can even run on water."
It paused, then added:
"Oh, by the way, when my horns grow out completely, they will be very sharp!" Weilan said proudly, as if this was its most boastful advantage.
Shikamaru couldn't help but laugh as he leaned down and gently stroked the space between Vilan's growing antlers, just like he would a fawn in his family's herd.
The fawn's fur was a little prickly to the touch, but Vilan seemed to enjoy the attention as he hummed comfortably and rested his head on Shikamaru's lap again.
"I'm hungry." After a while, it suddenly said. "Do you have any flowers?"
"Uh..." Shikamaru looked at Naruto hesitantly.
Naruto shrugged.
“There’s cabbage in the fridge.”
Vilan hummed thoughtfully.
"What is that? I've never eaten it before. Is it some kind of grass?"
"It's a vegetable with very long leaves," Shikamaru explained.
"That sounds very filling." The deer nodded in approval. "Okay, give me some then."
"I'll get it." Inuzuka Kiba volunteered to jump off the bed, ran to the kitchen, came back with a bag of dark green leaves, and handed it to Weilan.
The summoned beast took a tentative bite, then began to eat in big mouthfuls.
"It's my turn!" Inuzuka Kiba shouted.
Sasuke stood up and offered his place to him, carefully holding his scroll so as not to disturb the Chikuri that was still perched on his shoulder.
Naruto didn't seem to want to move, but considering that Shikamaru was being enveloped by the huge Kurama, he understood Naruto's thoughts.
"Akamaru, you choose one." Inuzuka Kiba said to his ninja dog. The puppy barked excitedly, jumped out of his arms, and sniffed the remaining nine scrolls one by one.
It stopped in front of several scrolls, sniffing them carefully, and finally stopped in front of a black scroll decorated with crimson and gold spots and edged with ivory white.
Akamaru cried out, biting one end of the scroll and dragging it hard to Inuzuka Kiba's feet.
"Good vision, man! I like this one, too," Inuzuka Kiba said with a grin, reaching out to help ease the burden on his comrade.
The scroll immediately responded to Inuzuka Kiba.
Shikamaru couldn't help but wonder if these scrolls would choose their masters based on the ninja's traits, because so far, the summoned beasts they chose were very compatible with them.
The inside of the Inuzuka Kiba scroll depicts several dark-furred canines running across a dry plain dotted with tall trees, seemingly chasing some invisible prey.
When Inuzuka Kiba pressed his fingerprint and wrote his name, a burst of red smoke appeared out of nowhere along with a violent crash, and a furry figure threw itself into his arms.
Akamaru let out a disgruntled cry as he was nearly pinned beneath the black mass, and he nimbly jumped into Inuzuka Kiba's jacket to avoid being knocked away again.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" The summoned beast apologized, frantically adjusting his sitting position on Inuzuka Kiba's legs. "I didn't mean to, I didn't notice you!"
The creature resembled a wolf, with short, shaggy black fur speckled with dark red and golden brown spots.
"Hello!" it said excitedly, circling Inuzuka Kiba's knees a few times. "I'm Sasha!"
"Wow." Inuzuka Kiba was surprised and reached out to touch its ears. "I am Inuzuka Kiba, your fur is so beautiful."
The summoned beast combed its own hair.
"Thank you! I'm the Bloody Jackal, so my hair can be electrified and even catch fire, and it's also resistant to chakra attacks!"
"So cool!" Inuzuka Kiba exclaimed.
Akamaru called out, and it must be asking something, because the summoned beast replied:
"Well, I can see really well in the dark. And I'm pretty agile and fast. My sisters are bigger than me, so they're better at one-on-one combat than my brothers. My mom is the biggest, and she's really awesome."
"Moms are amazing," Inuzuka Kiba agreed with a smile. "Nice to meet you, Sasha."
---
Sakura smiled in delight as her scroll opened with ease.
She had been watching with envy as her companions opened scrolls and summoned fairy beasts with unique abilities and personalities, and this feeling only grew stronger as more summons filled the room.
Chikri was flying around the room curiously, obviously confused by the small living conditions of Sasuke and indignant that his summoner did not live in a palace.
Sasha was playing with Akamaru in the limited space of the room, and having a three-way conversation with Inuzuka Kiba and his ninja dog.
And Vilan seemed wary of all the predators in the room, not leaving Shikamaru's lap.
So far, all of the summoned beasts have gotten along well with their summoners, and Shikamaru even summoned the Nara clan's family guardian beast.
Sakura couldn't help but wonder, what kind of creature would choose her as a partner?
Sakura could feel the blood gushing out, soaking the scroll as a sharp stinging sensation shot through her thumb.
She wrote her name, pressed her fingerprints, and then a miracle happened.
Accompanied by a burst of mist, a humid air mixed with the scent of tropical rainforest and a faint smell of sea salt filled the entire room. Tiny water droplets fell on Sakura's face and turned into a layer of mist.
A small snake coiled in the center of the scroll, its body was slender and shiny, and its scales sparkled like hundreds of sapphires.
Its smooth, rounded head rose from its coiled body, and a pair of emerald green eyes looked at Sakura curiously. The sides of the snake's head were decorated with feather ruffles of the same color as its eyes, adding a touch of elegance.
But that’s not all - about a third of the way down the creature’s body, there grew a pair of curled emerald-colored wings, the feathers of which shone as brightly as its scales.
"Ah, I see." Kurama's voice came from a distance, and it said to Sakura, while the summoned beast was staring at her intently, as if it wanted to see through her. "The Teng Snake clan is matriarchal, and they will only respond to female summoners."
"Hello." The little snake whispered softly, his voice like the gurgling of water. "Are you my master?"
Sakura smiled.
"I'm Haruno Sakura, nice to meet you."
The little snake bowed its head, spread its glittering wings, and saluted.
"I'm Lavia, from the Teng Snake Ocean Tribe." It said softly, raised its head again, flapped its wings slightly, and leaned forward slightly, as if trying to touch Sakura's arm. "May I?"
