Naruto: Sasuke and Naruto Hot Heaven
Chapter 69 Hidden secrets
This was the first time Sasuke had seen Sakura in a real ninja costume, and he had to admit, she looked pretty good in it.
She wore a mesh chakra long sleeve over a black sleeveless short top with a pocket on each side for shurikens and senbon.
The short top partially covered a pair of dark ninja pants, which had a kunai pouch on each outer thigh.
On her feet she wore a pair of matching ninja sandals and leggings that went all the way to her ankles.
In addition, Kakashi also gave her a pair of fingerless gloves and a special medical bag with many small pockets and leather loops that could be used to hold medicine bottles or poison bottles.
But the most obvious change was her hair. That morning, after taking a shower, Sakura carefully combed her long, smooth rose-colored hair, then looked at Sasuke and asked him to help cut her hair.
A full twenty centimeters was cut off!
Now, her hair is shoulder-length and tied into a neat ponytail instead of hanging down her back like before. She has gathered all her bangs to the right side of her face and braided them into three thin braids, which are fixed at the back of her head.
Sasuke thought with both pride and embarrassment: Sakura now looked more mature than him and Naruto combined.
He decided that after this mission was over, he would definitely take Naruto with him to go shopping.
Speaking of Naruto, he became surprisingly quiet after the old man's first round of verbal attacks. On the way to escort Dazna out of the village, Naruto changed his usual recklessness and his eyes became alert.
"What's wrong?" Sasuke asked.
He asked after they were out of the village and were sure that Dazna couldn't hear their conversation.
"I think that old man is hiding something." Naruto frowned and whispered, which was his habitual action when he was confused.
If Sasuke knew anything about Naruto, it was that Naruto's intuition was always spot on. If he felt something was wrong, then there was something wrong.
Sakura glanced furtively at Dazna.
"Should we tell Kakashi-sensei?"
Naruto shook his head. "No, he probably already knows."
The three of them remained alert for the next few hours, taking turns scouting around the group and eyeing Dazna suspiciously.
Just as they were about to stop for lunch, Naruto suddenly raised his head and looked around warily.
Sasuke was about to ask what happened when he caught a glimpse of a dark shadow flashing through the woods out of the corner of his eye.
Xiaoying also noticed something unusual, she noticed a puddle of water on the side of the road. The three of them realized almost at the same time: something is wrong!
"Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto yelled.
"What's wrong, Naruto?" Kakashi replied lazily. "It looks like we have a chance to practice combat, what do you think?"
"It's better than being bored like this all the time." Sasuke said lightly, while remaining alert, listening carefully to the movements around him and guarding against other enemies.
"Leave it to us," Sakura said confidently, flexing her wrist.
To outsiders, this was just a careless movement, but Sasuke knew that she was stretching her muscles in preparation for the upcoming battle.
Kakashi snorted nonchalantly. "Then I'll leave it to you."
Dazna looked at them in confusion, not understanding what these four kids were up to.
Naruto and Sasuke were standing in front of him, one on each side, while Sakura ran behind him, pretending to observe the plants on the roadside while slowly approaching him.
Although the old man is annoying, they will still complete their tasks diligently.
Dazna knew very well that with his meager salary, it would be impossible for him to hire any powerful bodyguards.
But he didn't expect that the people who came to carry out the mission would be three children.
Three twelve-year-old kids and a lazy-looking teacher made up his escort team.
Dazna felt that if he relied on these few people to reach the Land of Waves safely, it would require more than just luck, it would be a miracle.
Just when they were halfway through their first day's journey, the children's attitude suddenly changed.
If he hadn't been there, Dazna probably wouldn't have noticed. It was an indescribable feeling, as if there was an invisible pressure in the air. He heard the blond boy say something to his teacher, but couldn't make out the specifics.
A few minutes later, the atmosphere suddenly changed. The two boys seemed to have transformed into two phantoms and moved quickly in front of him.
Before he could react to what was happening, he saw two masked men in black appear before him.
Then the pink-haired girl behind him grabbed him by the collar and pulled him behind her effortlessly.
Then, the two children started fighting with the enemy. In his eyes, they were just two afterimages, one gold and one blue, moving at an astonishing speed.
One of the enemies had a chain weapon in his hand, wielding it like a whip and slashing at his companions.
At this moment, the blond boy waved the kunai in his hand, picked up the chain from bottom to top, and the blade at the end of the chain flew past his companion's back.
The black-clad boy turned quickly, thrust the kunai into the connection of the chain, and pulled hard, pressing the blade against the enemy's neck. The other man was pinned down by the blond boy with the kunai, unable to move.
Their teacher walked over slowly, clapping his hands and whistling.
"Well done, very quick. Sakura, go keep an eye on those two guys, don't let them get away."
Dazna stared at the scene in amazement: the pink-haired girl responded happily, "Okay, teacher!", then took out some ropes from somewhere and skillfully tied the two adult ninjas to the tree.
The two boys high-fived each other triumphantly.
Kakashi-sensei smiled and said:
"Alright, you three, be quiet. Naruto, tell me, how did you first discover them?"
Naruto smiled sheepishly and scratched his head.
"I just felt their chakra, they don't hide it very well."
Kakashi-sensei nodded.
"Very good. Your chakra sensing ability is getting stronger. Where's Sasuke?"
"I saw them moving in the woods," Sasuke shrugged.
"Very observant, even when they try to hide themselves. Well done. Where's Sakura?" Sensei Kakashi said approvingly.
"Puddle," Sakura answered simply.
Kakashi-sensei couldn't help but laugh, while Naruto and Sasuke complained in dissatisfaction.
"Why didn't we see it?" Naruto muttered quietly.
"It hasn't rained in weeks," Sasuke said grimly.
It seems that Dazna's luck is not as bad as he thought.
