Naruto: Sasuke and Naruto Hot Heaven
Chapter 50 Brother, do you want some curry?
Sasuke never dreamed that after waking up from a nightmare and wandering the streets trying to calm down, he would come to Naruto's residence.
But here he was, leaning against Naruto's shabby bed, staring sharply at the wall, letting Naruto tend to the wound on his arm.
Naruto was unusually quiet, which made Sasuke feel very uncomfortable. He didn't ask Sasuke why he was chasing him, and Sasuke was very grateful for that, because he himself didn't understand what was wrong with him at the time, and what was wrong with him to do such a thing.
In return, Sasuke did not question the reason for Naruto's previous sadness and anger.
As a result, a strange atmosphere of tranquility formed between the two of them, which was incredible to the usually noisy Naruto.
But while the silence was a little strange, it was surprisingly comfortable and Sasuke found himself not wanting to break it.
He stole a glance at Naruto who was busy with him, trying not to think about the other question he hadn't asked yet.
He now had wounds of all sizes all over his body, while Naruto only had some bruises that were almost disappearing, as if they were healed by some invisible energy.
"Could it be some kind of bloodline limit?" Sasuke thought.
But on second thought, even if Naruto really had a bloodline limit, it would be none of his business.
Apart from fighting, bloodline limit is a family secret, and Sasuke and Naruto are not very familiar with each other, so he is not qualified to ask about such things. The only thing he knows is that Naruto is an orphan.
In order to divert his attention, Sasuke began to look around Naruto's room, trying to find some clues from the details.
He noticed that the room was a little messy but clean. The strangest thing was that the room was full of scrolls, of all sizes, with all kinds of seals and words, filling every corner of the room. The table was piled with scrolls, and the floor was neatly stacked with scrolls, like small hills.
"I didn't expect you to like reading so much, you slacker." Sasuke said nonchalantly, picking up one of the scrolls beside him. At this time, Naruto was bandaging the wound on his other hand.
"Yeah, that's ridiculous." Naruto muttered under his breath, "I always have trouble understanding what other people say, so I just have to figure it out on my own. It's more efficient this way."
"Well, you win," Sasuke drawled, unrolling the scroll in his hand.
That was the instruction for training a C-rank wind-style ninjutsu.
"Were these scrolls stolen from the archives?" he asked.
Students of the Ninja School were not allowed to enter the Ninjutsu Library, let alone borrow C-rank scrolls.
Naruto's shoulders trembled slightly.
"Technically, no," he faltered. "I copied them all."
He lowered his head and squinted his eyes, like a wary little animal.
Sasuke noticed for the first time how deep the bruises were around Naruto's eyes, and how he looked like he hadn't slept in days.
"If he fought me with a tired body at that time..." Sasuke thought, "How strong will he be after he is fully rested?"
He shuddered and realized he didn't like the answer.
This meant that if Naruto hadn't been so exhausted at the time, the outcome of that battle might have been completely different.
"You're not going to tell on me, are you, bastard?" Naruto asked in a low voice.
Sasuke snorted and tossed the scroll back.
"As long as you are willing to share with me, I won't tell anyone."
The information stored in these scrolls is a huge treasure, and Sasuke doesn't want to miss it easily. If it can make him stronger, he doesn't mind making a deal with Naruto.
Just then, Sasuke's stomach suddenly began to protest, reminding him that he hadn't eaten since yesterday afternoon.
"Do you have anything to eat?" he asked without hesitation.
"Hey!" Naruto retorted instinctively, but he didn't look angry. "I think I still have some ingredients for curry here." He said and stood up.
Sasuke raised an eyebrow.
"can you cook?"
Naruto rolled his eyes at him.
"I live alone, have you forgotten?"
"So you eat anything else besides Ichiraku Ramen?"
"Shut up! Do you want to eat or not?"
“That depends on whether what you make is edible.”
"You..." Naruto snorted in annoyance, "If you're so worried, why don't you just do it yourself?"
And so they argued for nearly half an hour over whether the curry should be sweet or savory.
Obviously, the correct answer should be salty, but they were too tired to argue any further, so the curry they made tasted a bit weird.
However, the taste was still acceptable, at least Sasuke was too tired to care now.
After the previous battle, he now just wants to have a good sleep. As for other things, he will deal with them after he has rested well.
"What a strange day," he thought.
******
The next morning, Sasuke was awakened by a chaotic scene.
This day also set the tone for most of his and Naruto's interactions from then on.
Before Sasuke fully woke up, he saw Naruto swaying in front of him like a gust of wind, mumbling something.
Sasuke rubbed his neck, which was extremely sore. It was obvious that he had a stiff neck from sleeping leaning against the head of the bed last night.
"What are you doing, so mad so early in the morning? You're the last one in line?" he said unhappily, rubbing his neck with his hands, trying to ease the pain there.
Naruto paused in his act of getting dressed and turned to glare at him.
"It's time for class, idiot!"
Sasuke's eyes snapped open and he glanced around the room, searching for the clock.
"what time is it now?"
Naruto finally got his clothes on.
His hair was wet, and Sasuke noticed that he seemed to have taken a shower but didn't dry it at all.
"It's eight forty-five!"
A chill rushed down Sasuke's spine to the top of his head.
He is never late, ever!
Sasuke forced himself to sit up, but his legs felt like they were made of paper and were limp.
As he stood up, his shoulder hit the door frame.
"I need to use your bathroom," he said unhappily.
He felt terribly sick, was sweaty, and his hair was a mess and stuck to his face. He absolutely could not go to class in this state.
"The water pressure is very low!" Naruto warned as he went into the kitchen with a roll of bandages in his mouth.
Sasuke knew full well that this was all very strange.
He and Naruto had almost no interactions in school until last night, and almost all his perceptions of this last-place student were overturned.
However, he was right about one thing.
He and Naruto did have something in common, in that they had both experienced pain beyond their years.
******************
"This is too intimate and disturbing," said the nine-tailed fox.
"That's right." Naruto thought.
He barely made it to class, just a few seconds behind Sasuke.
