"You big fool." Ai murmured softly, her voice revealing an unconcealable emotion, tears rolling down her cheeks.

Vermouth was not panicked. She walked over calmly, picked up the pistol that was kicked away, and blew gently on the muzzle, as if mocking Conan's futile efforts. "I knew you would come, little detective."

She brushed her long black hair back, a hint of coldness flashed in her eyes, then she raised the pistol again and pointed it at Conan and Haibara Ai.

Conan had already run to the side of Haibara Ai, he quickly squatted down, and protected Haibara Ai who was slumped on the ground behind him. He stared at Vermouth closely, with an unyielding light flashing in his eyes, ready to deal with the upcoming crisis.

"Vermouth, your target is me, don't hurt her." Conan's voice was firm and powerful. He used his body to build a protective wall to guard Haibara Ai behind him.

Vermouth shook the gun in her hand lightly, her eyes fixed on Conan's determined look. She took a deep breath, as if she had made some kind of decision. "Hmph, boy, I'm just here to test the waters today. See you later."

As she finished her words, Vermouth turned and left, leaving Conan and Haibara Ai looking at each other, their hearts filled with complicated emotions.

Vermouth walked out of the warehouse and lit a cigarette. The afterglow of the setting sun shone on her stern face, and the flame on the cigarette swayed in the breeze. She took a deep puff of the cigarette, then got on the motorcycle, and without looking back, she walked away in the company of the setting sun.

Inside the warehouse, Conan and Haibara Ai were in a state of panic. Haibara Ai's body was still shaking, and Conan immediately took off his coat and gently put it on her shoulders. Haibara Ai looked up at Conan, and his bright eyes gave her strength and courage.

"How is it? Ai, are you feeling better?" Conan's voice was gentle and concerned.

"Yeah, much better." Haibara Ai answered softly, her eyes flashing with gratitude and trust towards Conan.

"Stop isolating yourself and stop thinking that your existence will bring danger to those around you. I am also one of the organization's targets. If you are in danger, I will also be in danger. Face the future, Ai." Conan said softly.

Ai Huihara stared at Conan's face, her emotions surging like the waves. She had a lot to say, but in the end, she just sighed.

"What's wrong? Ai, you still look pale. Are you still shaking?" Conan asked with concern.

Haibara Ai nodded slightly, seeming a little hesitant.

"If you have anything to say, just tell me. I'm here, ready to listen." Conan looked at her gently, waiting for her response.

"I..." Huibara Ai started to speak, but then stopped.

"Don't be afraid, the doctor and the others are very worried about you. They are all safe." Conan tried to comfort her. He gently held Haibara Ai's hand and conveyed warmth with the temperature of his palm.

"Edogawa." Huihara Ai called softly.

"Hmm?" Conan responded.

"Don't be so nice to me." Haibara Ai's voice trembled slightly.

"Why? Because I will protect you and I won't let you get hurt." Conan looked at Haibara Ai firmly.

"No matter how great the danger, I will protect you." He emphasized again.

Haibara Ai's pupils trembled slightly. She avoided Conan's direct gaze, but her heart was full of gratitude.

"Thank you, Edogawa." Although Haibara Ai's voice was trembling, it was full of sincere gratitude.

She held Conan's hand tightly, as if to hold the warmth firmly in her palm. She repeated softly: "Thank you."

Afterwards, Conan carefully carried Huihara Ai out of the warehouse and sent her to the doctor's car, which was rushing over. On the way with her on his back, Huihara Ai hugged Conan tightly, feeling this rare warmth and sense of security.
