Rocot: Reborn

Chapter 180

"Weapon? Oh, you think too highly of yourself." Roccod's lips curled up with a mocking smile, his deep eyes seemed to be able to see through everything, "Why do you think you are qualified to be my weapon?"

Avril was not angered by his contempt. Instead, she took a step forward and approached Rocot. The two were so close that they could feel each other's breath. She looked into his obsidian-like cold eyes without fear and said word by word: "I know that what you desire deep in your heart is not just revenge."

Roccod's eyes narrowed slightly, and a dangerous aura emanated from him. He grabbed Avril's wrist and pulled her towards him, saying in a cold tone: "You know too much."

Avril frowned in pain, but she did not struggle. Instead, she met Rocot's gaze with a provocative arc at the corner of her mouth: "I know that you want to establish a new order, a kingdom of dark night controlled by you."

"How dare you!" Roccod shouted angrily, increasing the strength of his hands, and Avril's wrist turned white from being pinched by him.

"You want strength, power, and to be at the top of the world," Avril said, enduring the pain, but her tone was very firm, "and I can help you achieve all of this."

Looking at this seemingly weak but in fact very determined girl, Roccod felt a little disturbed. He let go of her hand, took a step back, and asked coldly, "What do you want?"

"Me?" Avril rubbed her red wrist and chuckled, "I want to witness the rise of an era, an era that belongs to you."

Rocot turned and walked to the window, looking at the brightly lit city outside. His eyes were so deep that it was impossible to tell what he was thinking.

"You know what? You look like someone I know." After a long time, he spoke slowly, with a barely perceptible loneliness in his tone.

"Oh? Really? Who is lucky enough to be cared for by the King of Darkness?" Avril walked to his side and followed his gaze to look out the window.

"What a foolish woman." Roccod laughed at himself. "She was once just like you, naively thinking that she could change me and the world."

"And then?" Avril asked.

Roccod was silent. He turned around, his back to Avril, and said in a low voice: "She is dead, died at the hands of my enemies."

Avril could feel the sadness and anger in his tone. She didn't say anything, but just stood quietly behind him, waiting for his next words.

"From now on, I swear that I will make those who betrayed me and hurt me pay a thousand times the price!" Rocot turned around suddenly, with rage burning in his eyes, "I will make them surrender at my feet and beg for my mercy tremblingly!"

"So, you chose me?" Avril asked.

"Maybe." Roccod looked at her deeply, "But if you dare to betray me, I will make you live a life worse than death!"

Avril smiled, her smile was bright and charming: "Don't worry, I will never betray you." There was a strange light in her eyes, "Because, my fate, as early as the moment I met you, has been destined to be tied to you..."

"Tied together? Ha, what do you want? Power? Wealth? Or eternal life?" Rocot turned around and looked Avril up and down with a scrutinizing gaze.

"Those things are nothing but passing clouds to me." Avril chuckled, walked to the table, poured two glasses of wine, and handed one to Roccod, "What I want is far more interesting than these."

Roccod took the wine glass but didn't drink it. He just put it to his nose and sniffed it. A faint smell of blood mixed with a strange fragrance entered his nose. "Interesting? You're not trying to say that you're in love with me, are you?"

"Love?" Avril laughed as if she had heard something funny. "Don't be silly, Rocco, I don't need that cheap stuff. What I want is everything about you, your ambition, your revenge, your...soul!"

Avril suddenly approached Roccod, and the two were so close that they could feel each other's breath. Roccod could even feel the hot air Avril exhaled gently spraying on his face, with a hint of dangerous sweetness.

"You want my soul?" Rocot raised his eyebrows and drank the wine in his hand. "Do you know what you are talking about, little girl?"

"I know, I know more than you think." Avril's fingers gently stroked Roccod's Adam's apple, her eyes blurred, "I know you desire power and revenge, but you desire more someone who understands you, someone who can stand at the top of the world with you, right?"

Roccod grabbed Avril's hand, squeezed it hard, and said in a cold tone: "Who are you?"

"Me? I'm just someone who is willing to help you realize your ambition." Avril's wrist turned pale from being pinched, but she didn't show any pain on her face. Instead, she smiled more charmingly, "Someone who can make you crazy."

Rocot looked at the mysterious woman in front of him, and for the first time he felt a little hesitant. He had never seen such a bold woman, and no one had ever dared to provoke him like this.

"How do you want me to help you?" Rocot asked coldly, letting go of his hand and sitting on the sofa.

"It's very simple," Avril rubbed her red wrist, walked behind Roccod, and put her hands on his shoulders, "Submit to me, let me be your queen, and we will rule the world together and become the masters of this dark night!"

Roccod stood up suddenly, grabbed Avril's arm, and pushed her against the wall, saying in a cold tone: "You seem to have made a mistake, Avril, I am the king here!"

"Really?" Avril was not afraid at all. Instead, she stood on tiptoe and blew gently into Roccod's ear, saying in an ambiguous tone, "Then how about giving it a try and see who is the real master?"

Roccod's eyes darkened, and he was about to speak when suddenly, there was a violent knock on the door.
