Rocot: Reborn

Chapter 172

Renault was stunned as if struck by lightning, and his heart was filled with turmoil. He never thought that Rokod's target was Ling'er. But why? She was just a simple and kind girl. What did she do to provoke Rokod's crazy revenge?

"Impossible." Renault recovered from his shock. He gritted his teeth and said word by word, "I will never do any harm to you."

"Really?" Roccod seemed to have anticipated Renault's reaction. He slowly put the potion back into the box and tossed it casually. "Then there's nothing we can do. Then this can only be used on others."

Others? Renault was shocked, and he suddenly thought of Avril, the proud elf girl, or more innocent people. He knew that with Roccod's cruel methods, he could definitely do what he said.

"Wait, you bastard!" Renault rushed forward, grabbed Roccod's collar fiercely, and angrily pushed him against the wall, "You shameless man, why do you have to let Ling'er die?"

"Because, she must die." Roccod's eyes were fearless and even had a hint of pity. "Reno, remember, sometimes, living is far more painful than death."

"You..." Renault felt an ominous premonition from Rocot's words, but then his movements froze because he felt a powerful magical power coming from Rocot, quickly binding him.

"Oh, right." Roccod gently pushed Renault away. His seemingly weak hands were like iron clamps that made Renault unable to move. He leaned against the cold wall and whispered, "I forgot to tell you that the entire North District is under my control."

"Are you fucking crazy?!" Renault was completely enraged by Rocot's casual words. He struggled to break free from the restraints, but found that the force was like a leech attached to his bones, firmly locking him in place.

"Calm down, my friend." Roccod straightened his collar that was wrinkled by Renault, still with that disgusting smile on his face, "I said, this is just a deal, you can refuse it."

"Fuck your deal!" Renault yelled, "If you want Ling'er's life, you have to walk over my dead body!"

"Oh, my friend, I am so touched by you," said Rocot, with a sigh, "but I have no interest in your corpse."

"You..." Renault was furious, but there was nothing he could do.

"How about this, I'll give you three days to think about it." Roccod patted Renault's shoulder, and his tone suddenly became cold. "After three days, if you still haven't figured it out, I will go pick Ling'er up in person. Don't blame me for being rude then."

After saying that, Rocot no longer paid any attention to Renault and turned to walk out the door.

"Wait!" Renault shouted unwillingly.

Roccod stopped and looked back at Renault, a playful smile on his face: "Why? Changed your mind?"

"What do you want?" Renault took a deep breath. He knew that now was not the time to act on impulse. He had to figure out Rocot's purpose before he could find a solution to the problem.

"I said, I just want Ling'er's life." Lokod's tone was cold, leaving no room for negotiation.

"Why?" Renault asked through gritted teeth, "She is just an ordinary person, not a threat to you. Why do you want to kill her?"

"There are some things you don't need to know." Roccod's eyes became mysterious. "You just need to remember that what I say is never a joke."

"You..." Renault wanted to say something else, but was interrupted by Rocot.

"Enjoy these last three days, my friend," Rocot said, and left the room without looking back.

Renault sat on the ground helplessly, his heart filled with despair and anger. He knew that with Roccod's strength and means, it would be easy for him to kill Ling'er, but he could do nothing.

No, he couldn't just sit there and wait for death!

Renault stood up suddenly, his eyes flashing with determination. He must find a way to protect Ling'er's safety no matter what!

At this moment, the door was suddenly kicked open, and a woman with a hot body and beautiful face walked in angrily. Her long wine-red hair flew like flames, and she was holding a half-drunk bottle of wine in her hand.

"Renault, you bastard! I was really blind to fall in love with you!" The woman smashed the bottle in her hand to the ground, glass fragments flew everywhere, and the aroma of wine filled the air.

Renault looked at the familiar yet unfamiliar woman in front of him, feeling mixed emotions.

"Avril, why are you here?"
