Rocot: Reborn

Chapter 142

After Rocot and Aurelia were engulfed by the black fog, the world in front of them suddenly became pitch black, with only the sound of their footsteps echoing in the endless darkness. Suddenly, the air around them became icy cold, and Rocot felt a chill running up his spine to the top of his head. He tilted his head slightly and whispered to Aurelia, "Be careful, this is not an easy place."

Aurelia nodded, holding the staff tightly in her hand. The magic light flickered slightly at her fingertips, providing them with a little light. The two walked slowly forward, full of vigilance. Suddenly, a deep voice came from the darkness, as if from the ancient abyss: "Welcome to the trial land, Rokod, Aurelia."

Rocot turned quickly, trying to find the source of the voice, but there was nothing to see in the darkness. The voice continued, "Your courage is commendable, but this is only the beginning. Once you pass this point, you will face the real challenge."

As soon as the voice fell, the darkness around them suddenly dissipated, and Rocot and Aurelia found themselves standing in a desolate wilderness. The sky was gloomy, with dark clouds, and lightning roared in the distance. Countless broken bones were scattered on the ground, and the air was filled with the smell of death.

"Are you ready?" Rocot asked in a low voice, his eyes fixed on the front.

"Always ready," Aurelia answered firmly, the fire of battle burning in her eyes.

At this moment, the ground suddenly shook, and a huge monster emerged from the ground. It looked like a demon, with blood-red eyes and a deep roar. Rocot swung the Blade of the Dead without hesitation and rushed towards the monster, his movements as fast as thunder. At the same time, Aurelia began to chant a spell, and rays of light flashed around her, gathering into a powerful magic attack.

The monster's claws came at him, but Rocot dodged flexibly and found the right moment to slash with his sword. A streak of blood appeared on the monster's body as the cold light flashed. The monster roared, swaying its body in pain, trying to sweep Rocot with its tail. Rocot rolled over, avoiding the fatal attack, and quickly stood up to fight back.

"Aurelia, hurry!" Rocot shouted, giving her a clear signal.

Aurelia seized the opportunity, raised her staff with both hands, and chanted the spell faster and faster. Her eyes flashed blue light, and a huge energy ball gathered on the top of the staff. As the last spell fell, the energy ball turned into a blazing beam of light, hitting the monster's head directly. The monster screamed miserably, and its huge body fell to the ground with a bang, splashing a cloud of dust.

"Well done!" Rocot breathed slightly, looked at Aurelia and showed a satisfied smile.

Aurelia wiped the sweat from her forehead and responded, "This is just the beginning. We must be more careful."

Just as they were about to move forward, a sudden gust of wind blew from the sky, and a dark shadow vaguely appeared in the dark clouds. Roccod and Aurelia looked up alertly, only to see the dark shadow approaching quickly, with a pressure that could not be ignored.

"What is this?" Aurelia asked nervously.

Rokod clenched the Blade of the Dead, a cold light flashed in his eyes: "Whatever it is, be prepared for battle."

The shadow circled above them, and gradually a figure in a black robe emerged. His face was hidden under the hood, revealing only a pair of cold eyes. Roccod felt a strong sense of oppression, and he knew that the real trial had just begun.

"Can you pass the trial and prove your strength and determination?" The black-robed man's deep voice echoed in the wilderness.

Rocot and Aurelia looked at each other and nodded at the same time. Their hearts were filled with unyielding fighting spirit, ready to meet the upcoming challenge.

The black-robed man's words echoed in the empty wilderness, and his black robe was like a shadow, covering the heads of Rocot and Aurelia.

Rokoa clenched the Blade of the Dead in his hand, fearing that the black-robed man's next move would be a fatal attack. His eyes met with Aurelia again, and determination flashed in the eyes of both of them.

"No matter what lies ahead..." Rocot said, "I will not retreat."

The air around me seemed to freeze, and every sound was clearly audible. If the world stopped at this moment, perhaps there would be no more pain.

The man in black robe looked at them with a smile, and suddenly a pitch-black sword appeared in his hand. The trembling sound of the sword filled the entire wilderness.

"It seems that you are very determined." The man in black robe said, "Then let me see how strong you are." After saying that, he rushed towards them as fast as a bolt from the blue.

A hint of determination flashed in Rocot's eyes, and he faced the attack of the man in black robes with a clanging sword. Aurelia chanted a spell and turned the strange bones on the ground into sharp arrows that attacked the man in black robes.

However, their attacks were like kites in front of the prepared black-robed man. Their meteor-like attacks were directed at the black-robed man, but he easily dodged them and missed. The black-robed man turned around, and a black light forced the arrows on the ground that were heading towards him back, directly hitting Aurelia.

Rocot pushed Aurelia away, and the strong impact made him spit out blood.

"Easy off, if you keep fighting like this, he will tire himself to death." The black-robed man commented sarcastically. But Rokod did not reply, he only had eyes for the black-robed man in front of him.

The pain was overwhelming, and Roccod felt like every cell in his body was burning. He stopped the bleeding palely and took a step, as if he was walking on spikes.

"You are indeed quite strong." The man in black robe spoke again, his tone was filled with a hint of coldness, "But, this trial... has just begun." After saying that, the black sword in his hand slashed from the front. Rokod roared and met the challenge...

Just as they were about to fight to the death, a flame suddenly appeared in the sky. The air became extremely hot at that moment, and Aurelia had to stop casting spells and stared at the sky in amazement.

In the flames stood a huge tree, the blazing flames on the tree seemed to light up the entire sky, and under the tree stood a figure, quietly overlooking the villain in the wilderness. His appearance seemed to lead the situation to an unknown climax...
