Rocot: Reborn

Chapter 119

Rocot stood with his hands behind his back, his deep eyes reflecting flickering flames. Looking from above, the entire base was charred black, with broken walls and smoking reinforced concrete all indicating the catastrophe that had just erupted.

He calculated the time silently. The seal of the suppressor had already loosened. If nothing unexpected happened, it wouldn't be long before the real threat would awaken.

His prediction was proven true. As a howl of pain and joy pierced the sky, the earth began to shake violently, and even he felt the dark power that corroded his will.

"Here I come." Rocot whispered expressionlessly, and with a flick of his body, he leapt to the side of the woman.

The woman stared at the soldiers in front of her who were in chaos due to fear, and her voice trembled: "You...you are also from the future?"

Rocot did not answer directly, but instead asked a counter-question: "When have you ever seen people from the future?" There was a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

The woman's face changed. Indeed, even if the person from the future really showed up, who could guarantee that it wasn't another scam or trap?

The road ahead had been destroyed, but the remaining soldiers were still fighting tenaciously. Rocot looked at the black giant shadow gradually taking shape in the distance, knowing that this would be a duel with no chance of winning.

"Take them and leave here." Rocot said suddenly, leaving no room for negotiation in his tone.

The woman was stunned, then frowned and asked, "Are you crazy?"

"I'm not crazy, this is an order." Roccod lowered his head, hiding the complex emotions in his eyes, "This is an order for the future."

The woman stared at him for a while, finally gritted her teeth, drew her sword and rushed towards the awakening giant shadow.

Rokod shook his head and watched the woman fighting with the giant shadow. He knew very well in his heart that it was a battle that could not be won.

The woman pursed her pale lips slightly, a complex expression flashed in her eyes, but she finally turned around and ran towards Rocot.

Behind him, a huge black shadow was grinning. It stretched out its long and sharp claws and easily tore the soldiers who rushed over. Roccod narrowed his eyes, and an indescribable pain surged in his heart. He knew very well that all these sacrifices would eventually seal the power of darkness.

The woman ran in front of Rokod, but before she could speak, a black tail flashed past her. Rokod landed steadily behind her, his long sword as powerful as a mountain, but he had no intention of attacking.

"What are you doing?!" the woman shouted in a low voice. Obviously, she didn't think Rocot's swordsmanship was enough to compete with the monster.

"Guess?" Rocot's voice remained calm.

"I'll leave this to you," Rocot said softly. He threw his sword aside casually and stood there with his bare hands, like a statue.

The woman gripped the hilt of the sword tightly, she stared at the black figure without saying a word.

Rocot's figure gradually became blurred, and his breath was almost undetectable in the air. This gave the woman a glimmer of hope. Even if she was defeated, at least she still had a chance to escape.

However, when Rokod's breath completely disappeared, the woman felt a fatal sense of crisis. She dodged without hesitation, and almost at the same time, a dark blue blade of light brushed past her body, causing a burning sensation.

The blade of light did not stop, and slashed straight at the monster. In an instant, scorching energy burst out, distorting the surrounding air.

The woman subconsciously took a step back. Through the light mist that had not yet dissipated, she saw the smile on Rocot's face. It was a smile that only an absolute victor would have, like the smile a conqueror would have when facing a captive.

She had never seen a swordsman like Rocot. In fact, in her memory, no one could approach a wizard so easily.

The roar of the monster was becoming quieter and quieter, but the soldiers, who were full of vigilance and fear, did not move.

Rocot stared at the gradually shrinking black shadow. He did not speak. He knew that only deathly silence could properly welcome the coming storm.

As the last piece of wreckage fell, the barrier set up by the wizard was broken. The whole process was like a silent giant offering a sacrifice to an unknown and cruel god.

Rocot moved, his figure almost turned into a black line, without even leaving an afterimage.

Under everyone's shocked gazes, the barrier that had just formed in front of the woman shattered without warning, and then she fell down.

It was like an invincible devil turning against an insignificant soldier, which was extremely confusing yet shocking.

Rocot leaned on the hilt of his sword, staring expressionlessly at the group of stunned soldiers in front of him.

"Nothing can stop us." Rocot raised the sword in his hand, and the darkness that enveloped everything shrank rapidly in an instant!

In the blink of an eye, it disappeared without a trace.

The whole earth returned to light, but this did not mean the end of the drama, because before every soul could recover from its trauma, a new disaster had quietly arrived.
