I have been to Yangzhou but have not found any travel notes about Yangzhou. It is very likely that it was recorded in this travel note that appeared in Zhouzhuang. It is also common to lose things on the road.

Even Mr. Feng Er was excited, rubbing his hands and walking around excitedly. "Great, great, get someone to prepare the car, we will go to Zhouzhuang and ask the monks in the temple to borrow Mr. Xiake's original painting."

Feng Yushu was more thoughtful. As he walked out to get a car ready, he said, "We should bring some banknotes with us. If the monk is willing to give it up, the thank you gift should be generous."

Scholars are different. When they buy something, they don’t call it buying something, they call it a gift of thanks.

The father and son got on a carriage and rushed to Zhouzhuang.

Zhouzhuang is less than 100 miles away from Yangzhou. It is a small town with about a hundred households. The ancient temple where Mr. Xiake's original works were "discovered" is located halfway up Cuifeng Mountain outside the town.

The carriage could not go any further when it reached the foot of the mountain, so we had to walk.

Early in the morning, there would be sedan bearers soliciting business at the foot of the mountain. Now it was almost evening, and the two men were eager to see the original work, without considering the time issue. Where could they find sedan bearers in such a short time?

"It's just a few miles of mountain road, what's the harm in walking up it?" Master Feng II gathered his strength, lifted up his robe and walked up the mountain. Feng Yushu hurried over to support him.

The mountain road doesn't look that long, but when you actually walk up it you find it's not that easy.

Before they were halfway through the journey, Mr. Feng Er was panting and could not walk any more. Feng Yushu also felt as if a red-hot iron was stuffed into his lungs. "Father, let's sit down and rest for a while before we continue."

Mr. Feng Er was really tired, so he sat down on the stone steps, thinking of taking a rest before continuing to climb the mountain.

Unexpectedly, the mountain wind became stronger and stronger and colder after dark. In addition, the two of them were so busy on their way that they didn't even have dinner. When they took a rest, hunger came out to play.

After sitting for a while, they felt cold, thirsty and hungry. They stood up and continued to climb the mountain, thinking that they would have a sip of hot tea to warm themselves up when they got to the ancient temple.

Mr. Feng Er was not very old, still in his prime in his forties. However, he had been studying at home since he was young, and when he went out occasionally, he either took a car or a sedan chair, and rarely walked around.

Tired and hungry, he lost his balance and slipped, falling down the stairs.

"Father!" Feng Yushu's physical strength was not much better than Master Feng Er. He tried to catch up in a hurry, but he could not catch up and almost slipped down.

What was even more terrible was that one side of the stairs was suspended in the air. Seeing that Mr. Feng Er was about to fall from the suspended position, Feng Yushu shouted anxiously: "Help me!"

There was no human figure in the mountains, only the whistling mountain wind, which blew Feng Yushu's voice back to his ears.

Just when Feng Yushu was about to get scared, he saw a figure suddenly appear on the mountain road and leap towards Mr. Feng Er. The figure was very small and was almost knocked down by the downward force of Mr. Feng Er.

Fortunately, the figure grabbed a branch on the side of the road and stabilized the two people's falling bodies.

Feng Yushu's legs became weak with fear, but he forced himself to walk over to check on Mr. Feng Er.

"Don't move." The rescuer stopped Feng Yushu from moving Master Feng Er. "Falling from such a high place, I'm afraid he might have broken bones. Moving around might make the injury worse. Let's ask a doctor to take a look."

Only then did Feng Yushu realize that the person who saved Mr. Feng Er was a 28-year-old woman.

The girl was petite, and her appearance... in the dark, with only the faint starlight, she couldn't see clearly, but her eyes were exceptionally bright.

Feng Yushu didn't dare to look closely, and quickly turned his eyes away, bowed to the woman, and bowed deeply, "Thank you very much... Miss, for saving my life. I will repay you in the next day."

"There's no need to repay me. Sir, you should go and get a doctor." The woman's voice was soft, but her tone was very elegant. After she finished speaking, she slowly walked up the mountain.

Feng Yushu wanted to chase after him and ask for his name, but he felt it was impolite to ask so abruptly, and he also had to repay the favor of saving his life.

While hesitating, he saw the woman walking towards the ancient temple. Feng Yushu guessed that she must be a poor family staying in the ancient temple, or a pilgrim who came to burn incense.

No matter what the woman's situation is, she will definitely find out by asking the monk.

Feng Yushu went down the mountain to seek help from the clinic, and the clinic asked the neighbors for help, and finally they carried Mr. Feng down the mountain and temporarily placed him in the only inn in Zhouzhuang.

Master Feng fell quite hard, breaking three bones and causing a brain concussion. After he was rescued, he felt dizzy, nauseous and vomited as soon as he opened his eyes.

In this situation, they definitely could not move. After daybreak, Feng Yushu asked someone to report the news to his family. The old man of the Feng family came in person to express his condolences. After the condolences, he criticized the two of them for running around and making trouble, which made the old lady worry.

Feng Yushu wanted to explain that the two of them came for Mr. Xiake's authentic works, but the second master Feng cried out in pain and changed the subject.

When Master Feng Da saw that Master Feng Er was not in danger of his life, he asked Feng Yushu to take good care of him, left some silver and two servants, and returned to Yangzhou first.

After Feng Yushu saw off Master Feng Da, he came back and asked Master Feng Er, "Father, why don't you let your son tell Uncle the reason why we came here?"

"What do you know? Such a precious ancient book must be read by your father first." Master Feng Er closed his eyes tightly and waved to Feng Yushu, "There are servants here to look after it. Go and get Mr. Xiake's original copy quickly, don't let others get there first."

Seeing that Mr. Feng Er was indeed not in any serious trouble, Feng Yushu told his servants to stay by his side and not to run around, and he set out to go up the mountain for the second time.

When passing the road where the woman appeared last night, Feng Yushu paused. The woman's bright and clear eyes unconsciously appeared in front of him, and his face and ears suddenly turned red for some reason.

He hurriedly took a step forward, and suddenly noticed a flash of light in the grass by the roadside. Curiously, he bent down to check, and found it was a small seal.

The seal is made of fine jade, with gold wire wrapped into a cloud pattern on one end, and the word "Liu Zheng" engraved in small seal script on it.

Feng Yushu was lost in thought. He saw that the seal was made of something that no ordinary person could bear. Who left it here? The two characters "Liu Zheng" should be the courtesy name of the noble man, right?

Mr. Feng Er was worried that Mr. Xiake's original work would be obtained by someone else. Unfortunately, he guessed right.

Feng Yushu arrived at the ancient temple panting, but the monk in the temple said that the original painting had been given away. Feng Yushu asked who it was given to, but the monk refused to tell him.

Authentic works are hard to come by. If I get one, I'm lucky. If I don't, it's my fate.

After expressing his regret, Feng Yushu did not dwell on it too much and asked the monk about the woman who saved people last night.

The monk refused to tell him. When asked urgently, he smiled bitterly and said, "You are asking about the same person. How should I answer?"
