Tomb Raider: The Fox's Ways to Seducing the Kirin

Chapter 11 What's even scarier is the living

After confirming it was safe, several people followed Er Yuehong in.

Entering the secret passage, Er Yuehong led the way, while Zhang Rishan walked at the end of the team, responsible for the rear guard.

Er Yuehong looked around and said softly, "My father discovered this tomb a few years ago and became very interested in it. After going in and out several times, he even built a tomb model made of rice stalks at home."

"But after my father came back for the last time, he burned all the information about this tomb. I heard from the Hong family's guys that my father went to explore it alone the last time. If I'm not mistaken, he must have seen something that made him make such a decision."

As soon as he finished speaking, Er Yuehong's eyes narrowed, and he turned over and pulled out the person hiding behind the corner of the mine.

An old man with pockmarks all over his face. After being brought out by Er Yuehong, he lowered his head and trembled, unable to utter a complete sentence for a long time.

Cheng Ji looked at the old man in front of him and couldn't help but sigh in his heart at the power of the plot.

He avoided all the trivial things in front of the mine, but still ran into this old man.

Zhang Qishan questioned the old man for a long time but failed to get any useful information out of him.

Cheng Ji interrupted, pointed at Qi Tiezui and then Er Yuehong and said, "This is Master Qi Ba from the Nine Sect, and the one next to you is Er Yuehong from the Hong Family."

When the old man heard the names of the two, he seemed to remember something, and he said tremblingly, "I have finally waited for you. Your ancestors came here earlier and asked me to bring you a message."

"What?" Qi Tiezui was confused.

The old man sat on the mound and told them the story of this place.

Cheng Ji and the others could understand what was said before.

The old man used to work as a miner here when he was young. Thirty years ago, Japan bought the mine and accidentally discovered a cave hidden under the mine. The Japanese leader in charge of the mine thought there must be something good in it, so he insisted on taking people in to find out.

After groping in the cave for a long time, he accidentally discovered a bronze door hidden underground. There was a line of words on the door: Anyone who enters this door must give up all hope.

The Japanese leader refused to believe it, so he asked the miners to guard outside and he led a team of Japanese inside.

But not long after they entered, the Japanese team fled in panic, saying that there was something terrible inside.

After telling a story about the inside story of the mine, the old man continued to mumble for a long time. Everyone could tell that it was the Changsha dialect, but it seemed that the repeater only had a vague understanding of it. He could only remember the pronunciation of the words by copying them before he could relay them to them.

Qi Tiezui frowned and thought for a moment, then slapped his thigh and explained to everyone: "This is an ancient saying. Duan Qing will be dismissed if he has not been involved in it for thirty-six years. Dragon, cave, sand and water seem to be disordered, but they are actually disordered. If the three disasters are not violated, there will be more jumps. There is sky in the earth and fire in the world. There is no need to restrict the cave to the two water platforms."

As he spoke, Qi Tiezui's expression became more and more ugly.

"My ancestors said that those who have not learned the art for thirty-six years are not allowed to enter."

After these words were spoken, several people fell silent.

Not to mention Cheng Ji and the two Zhang brothers, even the oldest ones in their group, Er Yuehong and Zhang Qishan, are only in their early thirties.

Zhang Qishan asked about the following content, and Qi Tiezui explained: "The master should have gone down there. He said that the dragon cave, sand and water below seem to be messy but are not. This is the theory of the Luantou School. The master may come from Shanxi. The Feng Shui pattern here is chaotic. The reason for the chaos is that others will not build ancient tombs here; but it is not chaotic because this chaos is artificially created, reflecting the word "hidden", that is, someone has hidden the Feng Shui here. The three evils are not invaded but there are many maggots, which means that there are no ordinary insect pests, but there are slow-crawling insects. There is heaven underground and fire under the sky. This sentence is really difficult to understand. The two water platforms and the small Mingtang in the center of the cave are surrounded by seals, so that the qi and veins of Feng Shui are gathered together to form a barrier, which can block bad luck and evil spirits. Associated with the first sentence, it needs to be interpreted in reverse."

"This Feng Shui is to consolidate the Qi and block the invasion of evil spirits. Conversely, it also shows that the two waters here are combined to prevent the evil spirits from escaping from below. The reason why there are no three evils is that all living things are devoured by the creature called Zhui. By analogy, if there is a tomb here, the evil spirits of the people buried in the tomb are very heavy, and the Feng Shui should be reversed to prevent the tomb qi from interfering with the Qi of the surrounding mountains and waters. Throughout history, there are too few people who can do this."

Hearing this, Zhang Qishan frowned and asked Cheng Ji: "Should we still go to this tomb?"

Cheng Ji smiled gently: "Since Master Buddha has an idea, why bother asking Cheng Ji?"

"But what I said before is correct. There is a reason why Second Master must go here, and it is also something that you, Zhang Qishan, have always longed for."

Zhang Qishan choked when he heard this, and had to pretend nothing had happened and said, "Then let's go in and take a look."

The old man cried out, "You can't go there, you really can't go there, there are ghosts in there!"

After all, this was Cheng Ji’s first time going to a tomb, and he was with these legendary leaders of the Nine Sects.

After all, I am happy.

Cheng Ji patted the old man's shoulder in a rare good-tempered manner, and said in a gentle voice with a hint of comfort: "Don't worry, old man, nothing will happen."

"But of course we can't take this road. The Japanese have blocked the road ahead, and they are praying to the gods and performing rituals. We should take the secret passage next to it."

Zhang Qishan was full of suspicion: "Last time you said that the corpse told you about the cow-hair nails and the whistle coffin, then how do you explain this time? There is no corpse here to pass on the message to you, so how did you know about this secret passage? Could it be that a ghost told you?"

"Or have you been here before?"

The more Zhang Qishan spoke, the more confident he became, as if he had figured out the truth of the matter.

Cheng Ji remained calm and spoke gently, "The Buddha guessed one thing correctly."

Before Zhang Qishan could finish his next sentence, Cheng Ji continued, "But I guessed correctly about the first sentence. It was indeed told to me by the ghost."

Seeing Zhang Qishan's eyes full of disbelief, Cheng Ji snapped his fingers and blessed the spirit that had been following him.

The one who appeared was the ghost that Cheng Ji had summoned in the Cheng family not long ago.

After the ghost appeared, he slowly saluted Cheng Ji.

The sudden appearance of the ghost really scared everyone. Er Yuehong and the Zhang family had seen many storms and waves, so even though this was against common sense for them, they were able to stand there without changing their expressions.

But Qi Tiezui and the old man are a different story.

When the ghost suddenly appeared, Mr. Qi Ba jumped behind Zhang Qishen and others, shivering and not daring to look up.

The old man stood right in front of the ghost, who was dressed in tattered clothes and had a pale face. He suddenly appeared in front of the old man without a sound.

The old man screamed and almost fainted.

Cheng Ji, who was in the center of the storm, raised his eyebrows innocently.

"You are the ones who don't believe it, so don't blame me."

"Besides, what's so scary about ghosts? Aren't living people scarier than them?"
