Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin

Chapter 60: Defeat prejudice with political correctness! Dudley: Nobles? What nobility?

Bad news travels far and wide, but maybe in the eyes of Gryffindors, this should be a good thing.

As soon as the four people walked into the foyer of the auditorium, they ran into Professor McGonagall with a complicated expression on her face.

"You three will stay here for detention tonight."

"Weasley, help Mr. Filch polish the silver in the trophy room - no magic allowed."

Ron sighed in frustration, but couldn't hold back the burp, and a small slug came out, landing glaringly on the clean stone floor.

Professor McGonagall twitched the corner of her mouth imperceptibly.

"Potter, go help Professor Lockhart reply to his fan letters. He specifically asked for you."

When Harry heard this, he rolled his eyes.

"Eight o'clock in the evening, remember. Dudley Dursley, you...you come with me."

Suddenly, Harry and Ron felt that their work was not so tiring anymore.

"Professor, please don't fire him."

"It's all because of me...Draco Malfoy scolded me..."

Hermione walked up quickly, her expression pleading.

"Oh, please don't say that word, Miss Granger."

Minerva McGonagall's expression relaxed a little, at least she looked less serious.

"Gryffindor will not give up on any student who practices courage, bravery and spirit."

Dudley turned to look at Professor McGonagall. Her old eyes were clearly gleaming with the heat of fire.

After much persuasion, the worried Miss Granger finally put her mind at ease, and Dudley followed Professor McGonagall all the way to the Headmaster's Tower. Along the way, the two said nothing until they arrived at the door of Dumbledore's office, and Professor McGonagall sighed softly.

"Lucius Malfoy heard about his son's injury and came to Hogwarts immediately."

"His identity is very tricky, so don't be impulsive again."

"Otherwise, not even Headmaster Dumbledore can protect you."

Blinking, Dudley smiled.

"Am I a very violent person?"

Professor McGonagall finally rolled her eyes.

What do you say?

As the door opened, Lucius's angry voice rang out.

"Why hasn't Dudley Dursley, a Gryffindor who viciously assaulted a fellow student, been expelled?"

"Albus, as a member of the school board, I strongly condemn this kind of cruel and brutal behavior that disregards the lives of others. Allowing students like Dursley to stay on campus will affect the image of Hogwarts in the wizarding world."

"For the safety of all teachers and students, I propose that Dudley Dursley be expelled and that other students involved in the fight be severely punished."

After saying a lot of things in succession, Lucius finally noticed the person who came in and shuddered subconsciously.

His head still ached.

Dumbledore sat behind a large table, slowly peeling off the candy wrapper of a lemon sherbet and stuffing the sweet and sour candy into his mouth, without any intention of speaking.

Professor McGonagall immediately tugged at Dudley's sleeve. Dudley smiled and nodded, then bowed slightly to Lucius in a gentle tone.

"Have you finished barking?"

Lucius's eyes widened.

"How dare you..."

He stood up and was about to draw his wand.

"Lucius, it is totally ungentlemanly to lay hands on a child."

"So, Mr. Dursley, could you please tell me why you were... so rude to Malfoy?"

Dumbledore spoke slowly, and Lucius glared at Dudley before sitting back in his seat indignantly.

"Dear Professor Dumbledore, I'm glad there are still people here who can listen to objective descriptions."

"What happened was that Draco Malfoy viciously attacked Miss Hermione Granger near the Quidditch pitch, simply because of some disputes between Gryffindor and Slytherin over the ownership of the pitch."

"I have always believed that Hogwarts is an open and inclusive school of magic. There should not be any inappropriate discrimination that is unacceptable in the wizarding world."

Lucius snorted heavily.

Professor McGonagall, who was standing next to Dudley, finally relaxed her brows.

You know what, when this guy starts to reason, he looks quite reasonable.

Dumbledore nodded.

"indeed so."

Then, Dudley curled his lips and told the whole story in detail, including the word "mudblood".

The corner of Lucius' eye twitched. Although this cunning old fellow adhered to the pure-blood theory and had deep prejudice against the Muggle community, at least for the sake of face, he still had to take care of his public image.

A word like "mudblood" is almost the same as a word that begins with "Ni" in the Muggle world. It is harmless to talk about it in small circles in private, but it is inappropriate to use it in this kind of occasion, especially when teenagers are competing with each other.

To use a fashionable phrase in the wizarding world, "politically incorrect".

"The above is the whole story of this incident."

"I have testimony from all the Gryffindor students present. Even the Quidditch players on the Slytherin team, if they are objective and rational enough, witnessed this with their own eyes."

"I, Dudley Dursley, am fully aware of the dangers and uncontrollability of magic, so I did not use wizard means to punish Draco Malfoy for his vicious remarks."

"And now it seems that Mr. Malfoy and the unlucky Mr. Flint who wanted to continue to attack me are not in danger of life. In fact, their injuries are not as serious as the Gryffindor student who is still recuperating and unconscious due to mandrake."

"If Mr. Lucius Malfoy insists on using such an unreasonable excuse to force me to drop out of school, I will have no choice but to report the matter to the Daily Prophet. I believe that the 'professional' and 'rational' reporter Rita Skeeter will be able to impartially pass this information to all wizards in the magical world?"

Sitting down on a chair, Dudley crossed his legs and looked at Lucius provocatively.

The office suddenly became extremely quiet.

After an unknown amount of time, Lucius suddenly stood up and stared at Dudley.

"I'll remember you, Potter's cousin."

After saying that, he left Dumbledore's office without saying hello. He moved so fast that he almost bumped into Snape who was rushing over.

"So, what's going on now?"

Looking at the three people in the room, all with uncontrollable smiles on their faces, Snape was suddenly confused.

"It's alright, Severus, I will take care of this properly."

Dumbledore waved his hand, signaling him to leave with Professor McGonagall.

A moment later, two completely different laughs came from Dumbledore's office.
