Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin
Chapter 6: No House Sorting, No Place to Deduct Points, Dudley 1 vs. Malfoy
"Okay, in a few moments, you'll be walking through these doors and joining the rest of your classmates."
"But before you take your seats, you must be assigned to a college."
Professor Minerva McGonagall deliberately avoided looking at Harry and his tall cousin Dudley behind him. She was afraid that she would lose control of her emotions.
Occasionally, a tabby cat would appear near the Dursleys' home at 4 Privet Drive. She was the incarnation of McGonagall and had witnessed the lightning that night.
Although it was unclear whether it was this lightning strike that allowed a Muggle boy to obtain an admission letter to Hogwarts, McGonagall still decided to trust Dumbledore's judgment.
"At least...it's good for Harry."
Deliberately looking away, Mag talked about the four major colleges to the curious freshmen.
Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Slytherin.
Of course, Dudley knew all of this by heart. He just felt a little regretful because his very handy cast iron wand was temporarily confiscated by Hagrid who had hurried over and sent to his dormitory.
"It seems that what they said on the train was true."
"Harry Potter, here we are at Hogwarts."
Hearing this, Neville, who had just picked up the toad, looked around hurriedly, "Harry Potter?"
The freshmen also looked around, and only then did they realize that this famous figure in the magic world was right in front of them.
Harry frowned. He instinctively hated the blond boy in front of him.
"This is Crabbe and this is Goyle."
"My name is Malfoy."
"Draco Malfoy."
With a confident smile, Malfoy slowly came in front of Harry.
Ron chuckled, because to him, the name "Draco" was probably similar to what Dudley understood as "Long Aotian".
"Do you think my name is funny? I don't even need to ask, I know what your name is."
Malfoy curled his lips and glanced at Ron with disdain.
"Red hair, old robes passed down from your ancestors, you must be a Weasley."
He didn't waste time on Ron, but continued to look at Harry earnestly.
"You will soon discover that certain wizarding families are naturally superior, Potter."
"No one wants to be friends with a dubious person, especially a mudblood."
Malfoy saw Hermione behind Ron and shook his head in disdain.
"Mudblood? What do you mean?"
Harry still has only a vague understanding of the wizarding world.
Hermione's face looked very unhappy and she didn't say anything.
"Dirty words, children, don't listen."
A strong and powerful voice came, and Malfoy raised his head and saw Dudley standing in front of him.
"You Muggle boy from the Dursley family, in my opinion, you are worse than mud..."
Just as Malfoy was about to express his family's ancestral pure-blood theory, he suddenly felt a gust of wind passing by his cheek.
“There are so many stars…”
With a strange murmur, the blond boy from the Malfoy family fainted.
The freshmen exclaimed and subconsciously took a few steps back, leaving only Hermione, Ron, Harry, and Draco's loyal lackeys Clark and Goyle.
"Just like what this yellow-haired boy said, no one wants to make friends with people of questionable character."
"This is just a warning. Next time, I'll punch your nose so hard that it's concave."
"Like some famous person, remember?"
Dudley's rough voice startled Clark and Goyle, and they quickly dragged the unconscious Draco behind McGonagall.
"Merlin's beard!"
Professor McGonagall, who was always calm, couldn't help but exclaimed. Of course, she was also a little disgusted by Draco's behavior. After all, the word "mudblood" was an extremely offensive insult to a Muggle-born wizard.
"Dudley Dursley!"
Professor McGonagall, who wanted to deduct points, suddenly realized that these freshmen had never put on the Sorting Hat. They didn't even have a college. Since the founding of the school, Hogwarts seemed to have no precedent of deducting points from a single person?
"It won't happen again."
After looking at Dudley meaningfully, Professor McGonagall sighed and added what she had not finished saying.
"Those who perform well can add points to the college."
"If anyone in any college violates school rules, they will be deducted points."
"At the end of the year, the house with the highest score will win the house cup."
After that, Professor McGonagall drew her wand and pointed it at Draco, who was supported by Goyle and Clarke.
"Ennavit."
There was a brief chant, and Draco suddenly opened his eyes.
"What just happened? Where am I?"
"Who threw the uppercut?"
Seeing such a conceited dandy showing such a panicked expression, even a serious wizard like Professor McGonagall could not help but turn around quickly to avoid letting the freshmen see the corners of his mouth turn up.
Hermione looked at Dudley gratefully, and Dudley smiled and shrugged, then made a threatening gesture to Draco who was avoiding his gaze. Then, without caring about anything else, the freshmen quickly followed Professor McGonagall into the Hogwarts Great Hall.
Students from other grades were already sitting at the tables, and on each table, there were countless tall wine glasses and golden plates. Above them were the seats for the teachers, and Harry saw Hagrid, a giant-blooded man, smiling approvingly at him. In the air, countless candles were suspended and burning, illuminating the hall, and at the top was the night sky, with clouds and stars floating, like an open-air ceiling.
"This night sky is not real, it's the ceiling that has been cast into magic."
"I read about it in Hogwarts: A History."
Children's emotions come and go quickly. At least, Hermione has temporarily ignored the unpleasantness brought by Draco, and kept introducing him to the little girl next to her, without noticing that the little girl of the same age had an extremely bored look on her face.
The senior students looked at the freshmen and whispered to each other from time to time. The topics they talked about were nothing more than the "boy who survived" and the popular topic of "pulling out the streetlight in front of Ollivander's store in Diagon Alley".
"Please wait here. Professor Dumbledore wants to say a few words before the ceremony begins."
Professor McGonagall clapped her hands, and the students quickly stopped at the bottom of the stairs. Harry also saw a tattered hat placed on a chair very close at hand.
“It doesn’t look that amazing.”
Harry grunted.
"I'm going to beat up Fred. He talks like he's going to fight a troll."
Ron was still upset about his brother's joke.
The students fell silent and Dumbledore stood up.
He was exceptionally tall, and as the center of the teacher's seat, he immediately attracted the attention of all the freshmen. However, the old wizard with a white beard first took a deep look at Dudley Dursley, the only Muggle wizard apprentice at Hogwarts, who was almost second only to himself in height.
"This kid should be on the boxing team."
Looking at Dudley's strong arms that looked like a troll, Dumbledore restrained his emotions.
At least for now, this is a necessary decision in order to defeat the Dark Lord.
But what if it works?
Even Voldemort probably wouldn't be able to withstand a few punches and kicks from him, right?
